CH 7.2

Su Chengyang has the courage to stand up, but others may not.

Yang Xiuyi didn’t expect Su Chengyang to react this way and was stunned for a moment.

Due to being too excited, Su Chengyang’s eyes were red and her eyes were moist, looking pitiful.

Other employees in the company had gathered around after hearing the commotion. After listening to Su Chengyang’s words and seeing her tearful expression, they couldn’t help but feel a little sympathetic and looked at Yang Xiuyi with accusing eyes.

“That’s too much, making someone else take the blame and then wanting to shut them with money.”

“Su Chengyang really had bad luck. She encountered such a terrible thing in her first acting role in life.”

“Those marketing accounts are idiots.”

“Actually, three months ago when this matter first came out, I heard from a friend in the same crew that Su Chengyang is a relatively introverted person and has had no contact with Yang Xiuyi outside of the drama.”

“Forget about that, everyone in the industry knows that Su Chengyang was just used as a scapegoat. Otherwise, why would everyone’s attention be focused on her in that day’s hot search? It’s obvious that the water army misled the rhythm.”

“The water army was hired by Yang Xiuyi himself, right? The company didn’t have time to deal with him at that time.”

Listening to the discussions around him, Yang Xiuyi’s face turned pale and then red.

Just then, on the other side of the hallway, Lin Yu was slowly walking over with an assistant holding some documents.

He didn’t know if he heard the commotion over here, his gaze swept across Yang Xiuyi’s face and finally stopped on Su Chengyang.

Su Chengyang couldn’t control her emotions and she immersed herself in the situation of ‘Su Chengyang’. A tear slid down her cheek and she quickly brushed it away with her finger.

After seeing him, Lin Yu didn’t say much and asked, “Is the contract signed?”

Su Chengyang nodded but didn’t say anything.

The manager said, “Mr. Lin, the contract has been signed.”

Lin Yu nodded and then turned to look at Yang Xiuyi, who was being held in the middle by the security guards. He said, “Mr. Yang, go back and prepare. In three days, you and Miss Su have been invited to participate in an interview program to clarify the rumors between you during this period. I have already given the specific script to your agent. If you have any questions, you can go back and discuss with him.”

Yang Xiuyi’s face instantly turned pale, and he looked up at Lin Yu in a daze, whispering, “Mr. Lin…”

Once this matter is clarified, his situation will be even worse.

“In addition, your fans attacked Miss Su and caused her to be hospitalized. The company will provide her with corresponding compensation, please cooperate,” Lin Yu continued as if he couldn’t see his paleness.

Every word he spoke was gentle and soft, making it seem like he wasn’t being strict at all. On the contrary, it gave people a sense of being taken seriously. But each sentence landed in the crowd with an unquestionable authority, making it impossible to refute or doubt.

Yang Xiuyi’s face was pale, he shook off the security’s hand and looked at Su Chengyang with reddened eyes before turning and walking away from the crowd.

In Starlight Entertainment, Lin Yu words were like the chairman’s words. Everyone present knew that the future of Starlight Entertainment belonged to Lin Yu.

“Miss Su, come with me,” Lin Yu nodded at Su Chengyang.

Su Chengyang was stunned for a moment, she didn’t expect Lin Yu’s efficiency to be so high, he had already decided to clarify for her in the interview three days later.

Everything was developing too smoothly, Su Chengyang even had a surreal feeling of walking on clouds.

“Chengyang, I’ll go back first,” Liu Wen smiled at Su Chengyang and turned to leave.

Su Chengyang looked at her in a daze. Liu Wen was the first person she was familiar with after coming to this world, and for a moment, she felt a little reluctant. From now on, she would be a star under Starlight Entertainment, and she didn’t know if there would be a chance to meet again in the future.

After a moment of silence, Su Chengyang suddenly said, “Can I still call you in the future?”

Hearing her words, Liu Wen was stunned.

She stared at Su Chengyang without blinking, a little unsure of what she meant.

Su Chengyang looked at her and said sincerely and frankly, “Sister Wen, I promise not to bother you often. Occasionally, when I think of you, I will call to say hello.”

In the entertainment industry for so many years, Liu Wen had never met such a person. Su Chengyang’s sincere expression was like a cluster of flames, burning so brightly that Liu Wen’s eyes were sore. She hadn’t felt such a pure emotion for a long time.

“Okay, try to call me when you finish work,” Liu Wen lowered her reddish eyes and joked.

Su Chengyang breathed a sigh of relief, “Okay, be safe on your way back and say hi to Tang Yue for me.”

After Liu Wen left, Su Chengyang turned to Lin Yu who was waiting silently beside her and said, “Mr. Lin, let’s go.”

Lin Yu nodded with a smile, shook the documents in his hand, and said, “I want to talk to you about dietary issues.”

Su Chengyang’s footsteps paused, “…”

Suddenly, she didn’t feel like talking about it.
