As soon as these words were spoken, there was an uproar in the conference room.

Su Chengyang was shocked. She did not expect that Lin Yu would push Yang Xiuyi so hard. Wasn’t he afraid that Yang Xiuyi would become desperate and do something extreme?

Su Chengyang, of course, did not think that Lin Yu was doing this to vent his anger. It was probably because Yang Xiuyi’s behavior had indeed affected the company’s interests, and he had acted recklessly in front of Lin Yu several times. Lin Yu was a responsible gentleman and would definitely dislike people like Yang Xiuyi.

At these words, Yang Xiuyi turned pale, trembled his lips, but couldn’t say a word.

If he was sued by Starlight Entertainment at this juncture, Yang Xiuyi had no chance of winning and would even have to pay a large sum of money, an amount he could not estimate. Moreover, he would have no place in the entertainment industry from now on.

Thinking of these things, he became more disgusted with the sudden appearance of Su Chengyang, raising his bloodshot eyes as if he wanted to skin and tear Su Chengyang apart.

Upon meeting his gaze, Su Chengyang’s heart trembled and she immediately lowered her head and took a few steps back behind Xiao Lu.

Xiao Lu whispered, “Don’t be afraid of him, I’ve had training.”

Su Chengyang: “…”

Although he understood the pros and cons of the situation, Yang Xiuyi did not immediately make a decision.

To apologize to a newcomer with tea, such a humiliating thing, he almost bit his teeth to pieces.

But other than that, he had no other choice.

Lin Yu glanced at the steaming teacup and said calmly, “The tea is getting cold.”

Yang Xiuyi trembled all over. He took a deep breath and clenched his teeth so hard that his face turned red with anger. Veins bulged on his forehead as he walked heavily towards Lin Yu. He picked up the tea cup in front of him, almost crushing it with his powerful fingers.

He turned around and looked at Su Chengyang, his embarrassment and hatred evident in his eyes. Xiao Lu furrowed his brow and blocked Su Chengyang behind him.

Yang Xiuyi arrived in front of the two, glared fiercely at Su Chengyang, and squeezed out a few words through his teeth: “Miss Su, I’m—sorry—for—scaring—you!”

Su Chengyang looked at his angry expression, feeling scared but also speechless. She thought that Yang Xiuyi shouldn’t be apologizing for this. He should be apologizing for dragging the innocent ‘Su Chengyang’ into this mess twice.

But Su Chengyang didn’t say anything because she didn’t plan on letting this matter go so easily. She quietly held onto Xiao Lu’s clothes, hoping to gain some courage.

Now, the image of Yang Xiuyi in her mind was already like a ferocious beast, and she was extremely cautious, afraid that she might be swallowed alive if she accidentally touched him.

Even so, Su Chengyang still gathered her courage and said, “Has no one ever taught you how to apologize?”

As soon as these words were spoken, not only Yang Xiuyi, but everyone in the meeting room looked at Su Chengyang in astonishment.

“What did you say?” Yang Xiuyi was completely stunned.

“I said, has no one ever taught you to bow when apologizing?” Su Chengyang was not good at arguing with others, and her voice trembled when she said this. She didn’t care what reaction he would have, because she had never planned to reconcile with him.

The meeting room fell silent again.

Sitting across from Su Chengyang, Lin Yu slightly curved his lips and reminded, “Mr. Yang, the tea is not good when it’s cold. I believe the etiquette teacher hired by the company must have taught you how to properly express your apology.”

Yang Xiuyi trembled all over, his eyes almost bleeding. He had never experienced such humiliation before. He even wanted to smash the cup and leave Starlight Entertainment, but he dared not. Such an action would almost certainly cost him his life, so he had to do as Su Chengyang said.

He bent over, bowed, and apologized.

It was all very slow, and time tore at his sanity.

“Miss Su, I’m sorry for frightening you.”

Su Chengyang silently looked at him for two seconds, took the teacup, lowered her head and took a sip. The tea was at a perfect temperature, and the faint aroma rushed into her nose, making Su Chengyang’s nervous mood relax a bit.

Seeing this scene, Lin Yu did not say anything more, but turned to the others and said, “Let’s start the meeting.”

“Yes.”

Su Chengyang pulled Xiao Lu and sat down at a spot farthest away from Yang Xiuyi.

The emergency meeting was just as Su Chengyang had anticipated. Due to the controversy caused by the official announcement of Su Chengyang’s signing with Starlight Entertainment, the company had decided to bring forward the talk show to tonight, at 8:30 p.m. prime time.

Su Chengyang had no objections, and Yang Xiuyi was all for it. After all, the more heated the publicity around Su Chengyang, the more it would benefit him.

After the meeting, Xu Yang took Su Chengyang to the hospital, where the doctor said it was nothing serious and recommended that she apply some ointment for a couple of days and keep her skin dry and clean.

At half-past three in the afternoon, the company sent a car to take them to the talk show venue, with Lin Yu joining them.

It wasn’t until they arrived that they began to prepare their hair and makeup. Su Chengyang asked Xiao Lu to bring her a plain white chiffon dress for the interview, and she opted for a natural makeup look.

During the makeup session, Lin Yu asked the makeup artist to avoid the red marks on her face from the burn, but Su Chengyang’s skin was still in good condition. She applied a light layer of foundation and a bit of eye makeup and was good to go.

In the evening, the show’s crew prepared box lunches for them. Su Chengyang smelled the delicious aroma of food from afar and knew there must be braised pork ribs inside! Su Chengyang’s sense of smell can’t be wrong!

When the box of food arrived in their room, Su Chengyang was salivating with anticipation, wearing an exquisite makeup and peering at the approaching box of food at the door. She hadn’t had a good meal since yesterday!

As the auntie handed Su Chengyang a box of food, she felt grateful, almost bowing to her. Suddenly, the delicious box of food was taken away by a hand that appeared out of nowhere.

Su Chengyang followed the hand to see that it belonged to Lin Yu, who was standing behind her with a faint smile on his face.

“Chengyang, your dinner will be sent over by Assistant Xu later,” said Lin Yu.

Su Chengyang’s braised pork ribs were gone, and her eyes teared up as she watched Lin Yu hand over her food to Xiao Lu, who was just hanging around.

At that moment, Lin Yu’s image in Su Chengyang’s eyes was infinitely close to that of a devil.
