Chapter 32.1

I lived my life like that. In this life, I never thought I’d have to live free all my life.

Being handsome has no use for me now. Only frustration, despair, and anger filled me.

My pride and ego as a woman myself were also the main culprits that ruined me.

“There could be something more important than that.”

“What is it?”

“. . . Desire?”

“Oh, my!”

It’s really important, you know! You don’t know anything, Flora.

Maybe it’s because you’re young.

Flora blushed and poked me in the ribs.

“So. Who do you think will be good?”

“Well . . .”

Flora gave it a deep thought.

“I want a man who’s full of desire.”

“Who is it?”

Don’t tell me it’s going to be . . . Gerald?

Because I was like that in my previous life. I won’t say much if you take me this time.

“That’s . . . who?”

Flora cleared her throat. “Do you know the assistant professor of the academy?”

“There are only one or two assistant professors!” I yelled. “But an assistant professor would already be too old for me. You’re crazy!”

“Ah! No, not at all. Not to that extent kind of old!” she replied. “You know that there’s someone younger than most!”

There’s a young assistant professor? Who the hell . . .

“Billiers?”

“Oh, yes! That man.” Flora put one hand on my cheek. Then she tilted her head and said, “Isn’t he really intelligent? Those soft, melancholy eyes. I think I can do anything for him with those eyes . . .”

Billiers is . . . He’s 8 years older than us. A 26 year old?

“Where did you run into him?” I asked, furrowing my brows. “How do you know Billiers when you don’t even go to the academy?”

“There was one time when I couldn’t see you anywhere!” She grinned dreamily as she explained. “I went to see you and saw him at the mansion.”

I’m the culprit. Damn it.

I put my hand on her head.

Billiers . . . of course he was a fine man. He was a really nice guy as well. He looked fine and had conviction and passion in whatever he did. An ideal man for  most.

He’s full of enthusiasm as well, and that trait reminded me of someone again . . .

I meant, it was good that Billiers was a workaholic.

I had never seen the day Billiers left his lab. Apparently, Billiers would become a famous doctor in the medical world. As far as I remembered, he would become one at the age of thirty.

Now, I was just learning things that were related to medicine as well. He had been called a genius in the pharmaceutical world and had made a big mark in society.

But in order for a person to achieve so many things . . .

He should have no interest in anything else. Spending the whole day at the laboratory. Doing all of the things that are only related to it. Wasn’t that the reason why the second son of Count Hillard has never had a fiancee?

What am I— It’s because I don’t really care. No, not at all!

“What about Gerald?”

“I already said no, didn’t I?”

Don’t you understand that I’m trying to sell Gerald to anyone who would be willing to take him? He might have the beauty and the brains but he’s definitely not my type anymore!

“Well . . . Did you not hear the rumor?”

“What kind of rumors did you hear?” I asked.

“I heard Gerald emits a cold aura to anyone he meets. They say they can’t even have a good conversation with him! If he looks at anyone like this,” Flora tried to make her facial expression as blank as she could. Her pretty face instantly turned icy in an instant. “It’s normal for anyone’s heart to freeze. How can you date him and get married? That situation is ridiculous.”

That doesn’t make any sense. What’s Gerald doing? I looked back and it reminded me of Gerald, who chased me all the time and said he would hold the book for me. Such an adorable human being—-

That memory was, of course, a childhood memory.

But I think Gerald didn’t change much when he was growing up. We met often during vacation.

“Please write letters often, Lulu. I’m bored whenever I’m in the academy.”

“Lulu. You’re going with Alexid again? Are you going to eat honey again?”

“Let’s eat together. I starved all day.”

Well, being icy cold to everyone? I had no idea. Although Gerald had always been blunt, being cold and indifferent to everyone was another thing.

The rumors must have been distorted, that’s how it always worked.

I shrugged my shoulders, “If you want to marry Billiers, then it will be hard to see your husband’s face . . .”

“Well! There’s nothing to worry about! All I have to do is look at his face and be happy when he comes in to meet me! Just as long as he doesn’t cheat, I’d be fine!”

My words won’t come through her brain now. Flora already had eyes in love.

Well, my past life was something for me to learn from. Will this time become a learning lesson for my friend, Flora, as well?

I didn’t know if Billiers would take her love as well. And we’ll never know how things will turn out either.

It took two people to love, and only when it happens, would it come true.

“You’ve come of age now,” I said with a smile.

Flora was also one of the people who debuted today.

“Now I can go out as I please! That’s what matters.”

“So now that you can go out as you please, what will happen?”

“Are you asking that?” She narrowed her eyes. “Of course, I am free now! I can date, too. I can go to the academy! There’s no one else who would be able to stop me!”

You can even get yourself a married man with that passion!
