Chapter 36.1

Gerald shook his head.

“Tell me how you’ve been. You didn’t even answer my last letter, did you?” he asked.

“Oh… I was busy,” I answered.

A bitter smile lifted my lips. I was really busy, so there was no time left for me to answer his letter.

How can I not have a man to fulfill my simple dream?

He clicked his tongue and asked, “What have you been doing these days?”

Gerald smiled while looking me in the eye.

“Date?”

“Oh, date. With whom?”

“There are two people… One of them is… Well, I don’t even want to talk about him. Gerald. I needed to talk to you about a certain man that I had a date with. A man who has five sisters.”

I told Gerald what happened that day in detail. Perhaps it was because I treated him like a friend, it wasn’t awkward at all.

And Gerald said he’ll be my friend as well.

“Aha. So, what’s next?”

“Whoa. That’s really unexpected.”

Those were his genuine reactions. I found myself getting comfortable talking to him.

I talked about a man who scratched his cheek and was only gentle on the outside.

“Really…… How can it be so hard to find such a decent man? Now I have to do a lot of things.”

“Well… So when’s your next date?” he asked.

“Today? I think it was today. If I fail again today, I will rest for a while.”

I needed to check everyone out. Or perhaps I might just need to get my eyes checked. Here I was picking random men. I needed to attend a noble meeting as well.

I’d already succeeded in being seen as a woman of true love by the ladies.

I’m going to pester Flora.

I’m done being near Gerald at the party.

If Gerald remains next to me, no man would dare to come and approach me.

Gerald is called a unicorn for a reason. And seeing Gerald hanging around me, the ladies wouldn’t dare to come anywhere near the Logan family either.

That’s a no-no for me.

“Oh, Gerald. I have something to ask you. Is there no reason for you to go back until graduation?”

“I don’t think so, do I have to?”

“Well, what have you been up to?”

“I have been helping my father with his work.”

“Oh, then you must be busy.”

“I guess so.”

Yes, you should be busy if you learned that much.

Actually, I wasn’t that free as well. In the Leander family, my mother was in charge of making money through the use of her wits.

It was because my mother had a great business sense. She was distributing silk from the Kingdom of Turantot.

That’s what I was learning, and I needed to learn it well.

It was worth doing, and was already a piece of cake because I was living my second life. Veronica and I used to receive lessons together from my mother.

Anyway, I was busy dating men and meeting my friends in my spare time.

I thought it would be better to discuss dating men with Flora and select a social gathering to attend.

“Really?”

“What are you thinking, Lulu?”

“It’s nothing. Well, you did a great job attending the academy. Do you feel sad when you think about graduating? You’ve been there for years.”

“I am not too sad, to be honest,” he answered. “Without you, I was bored.”

“Eh. I would think there there would be a lot of people of our age in the academy. Why would you get bored without me?”

“I’m most comfortable with you.”

“It must have been because I’ve known you since you were young. If you get along with other people, you’ll get close with them quickly.”

“Well, are you going on a date today?” he asked.

“Oh, that one. I think I mentioned it to you, he’s Stormy of the Ethers family. So far, I’m not looking forward to it.”

“Really?” he asked.

“Yes.”

“Tell me everything about it when you’re back.”

“Okay. You’re having fun hearing about my lame experiences, too, aren’t you?”

“I think so?”

“Well, Alexid really enjoyed hearing about them as well,” I said with a sigh.

I remembered that I tried to kick him in the ass, but I held it in. You know how hard I’m working in order to date a gentleman! I’m trying to act like a noble lady now!

Especially when it came to the second date, Alexid had a big laugh.

Well, he did help me out later so he redeemed himself.

“Anyway, I can’t believe you’ve already graduated. Congratulations, Gerald,” I said, congratulating him with a big smile.

Now you should go your own way now, Jeje. We should just stay friends from now on.

“You’re an adult now.”

“That’s right.”

Gerald’s eyes gazed at my exposed neck. It appeared that he had noticed that my style of the dress had changed.

Gerald said in a low voice. “You are a grown-up as well, Lulu.”

“Yes.” I nodded my head.

As Gerald said, I had become an adult. It was like he was saying, ‘you should be more careful with your actions.’ But for me, I just had to keep my distance from Gerald.

Gerald smiled.

Why is he smiling like that? Does he even know how upset I am with him?

Gerald and I were married at the age of twenty. That was coming in the next two years! All I had to do is to escape that fate within two years.

I’ll never marry you again, my ex-husband from my previous life.
