Chapter 50.2

What I did as soon as I woke up was to send a letter to Brenti. I had to cancel my next appointment. I wouldn’t dare to date someone in this situation. I had come to a conclusion yesterday and realized that Gerald had nothing to do with me now. I decided to take responsibility for my life anyway. Whoever it was, I was going to meet the person who loved me the most. Brenti was on hold for now! My father, who loved me, was more important to me than anyone else.

“Are you going to your dad?”

“Yeah, my aunt said she slept here.”

“Oh, what about the others?”

“Billiers is gone. Oh, Gerald came over. He must have been here since morning.”

She turned her head to see Gerald.

Gerald bowed to his mother.

“Gerald, thank you for coming early in the morning.”

“No, my parents said hello. And he asked me to tell him that I wish him well.”

“Thank you.”

“And my mother asked me to deliver this.” Gerald put something in my mother’s arms.

Mom burst into a faint smile. “Please say my thanks to her.”

There were plenty of healthy herbs given by him. In fact, it was all over the place. The important thing for me is my father’s healing.

“Lulu, do you want to spend time with Gerald? Mom has things to take care of. Breakfast, you know, and I need to see your father’s face.”

“Yes!” When I answered bravely, my mother laughed and left with the maid.

After they left, I turned my head to Gerald. “What are you doing?”

“What?”

“Why are you standing like that?”

For now, I didn’t want to ask Gerald about the past. If I know what I think is right. I realized that it might get a little complicated. We were married. It’s better to just reset and pretend we don’t know anything about each other. And what’s the point of talking about bad things?

“I should go and read a book. What do you want to do?”

“Oh, I…”

“You go with me, Jeje.” Alexid, who appeared from somewhere, tapped Gerald’s shoulder.

Gerald looked at Alexid with astonishment.

Ugh. Look at his beauty. He shines in the morning or even at night.

“Can I take Jeje with me? It’s been a while since I’ve had a fight.”

“Yes.”

He waved his hand.

I thought it would be better to be alone than to be around. Ugh, it’s annoying.

They walked lightly, leaving me behind.

What book should I read today? I was going to take a book and read it next to my father. I hope my dad gets well soon.

‘If you hold me tight again and whisper that you love me, it will feel like you have the whole world.’

My feet walked lighter steps than yesterday.

* * *

Gerald was looking at Louella’s back while he was being dragged away by Alexid.

“You two. Why do you like her so much?” Alexid asked as he took Gerald. “I’m really curious. What do you like about Louella?”

“She’s pretty.”

“Oh, my God.” Alexid looked like he was going to throw up.

Louella was pretty? He had a thought about when Louella had just been born and couldn’t even crawl.

“That ugly sister is really pretty?”

“She’s the prettiest in my eyes,” Gerald replied curtly.

Alexid nodded his head indifferently. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it seems.

“But why are you leaving her alone? Have you ever confessed?”

Gerald smiled bitterly.

Only Gerald knows he can’t. Confess, date, and fall in love. Physical affection was inevitable in the process, but Gerald couldn’t. Seeing how the pregnant Louella withered rapidly made him not do it at all. The doctor recommended giving up the child, but Louella shook her head. If she was going to die anyway, he would choose to still have the child. She also knew it was a dangerous choice.

In the end, Louella and the child left Gerald together. The memory of the day scared Gerald. According to the magical constraints of time, the story of regression could not be brought up.

He just had to wait until Billiers found Louella’s disease in her body.

“What the hell are you thinking? What if she’s really going to be taken away? That guy, Brenti, seemed pretty decent.”

“……I know.”

So he felt more anxious and angry. Fate was struggling to take Louella from Gerald somehow. Gerald knew it and had no choice but to sit on the sidelines. He had so many thoughts in his mind.

Gerald fixed the sword, then said, “I’m going.”

Alexid beckoned at Gerald.

He brought Gerald out because he looked so frustrated.

Louella is the only one who’s anxious about it, but she doesn’t know, or pretends she doesn’t.

The latter was able to hold his precious sword.

Alexid clicked her tongue.

Still, Gerald’s persistence in watching Louella was amazing. How many years had it been?

Alexid stared at Gerald’s form while holding the sword. No. Wasn’t this Gerald Logan just good at holding a pen? Isn’t this crazy?

Alexid clenched his teeth.
