Volume 8 - CH 43

Fukamori Mitsuki is Jealous

“Still, both Eien-chan and Mitsuki also eat at Myac huh. That’s unexpected……”

“I was actually invited by Mitsuki today.”

“Umu. I sometimes get into that kind of mood you see. Since I’ve been studying all day long today, I just started craving hamburgers.”

.

.

Mitsuki happily replied

There’s a box of Big Myac placed on her tray.

Seems like she’s the big-eater type.

.

.

“And I was with her so I decided to try visiting it myself!”

.

.

Eien-chan has a teriyaki burger on her tray.

It appears that this wallet-friendly menu is not only popular with boys but girls as well.

.

.

“But this is so unusual. I’ve never seen Hideyori-san alone with Risa without Juumonji-san before.”

“Who cares about Nii-san! Hmph!”

“W, What’s wrong?”

.

.

It seems Eien-chan sensed that Risa’s reaction was unusual.

Everyone seems to take Takeru and Risa as a set after all.

.

.

“She got into a fight with him.”

“I see, the siblings’ quarrel thing right.”

“Exactly, Fukamori-san!”

“Ah, you can call me by my first name, I don’t mind. In return, can I use your name too?”

“Yes! Nice to meet you, Mitsuki-san.”

.

.

Girls can get along so quickly.

I remember Mitsuki being a character who didn’t have many friends when she entered high school so she put in a lot of effort to make friends.

In the game, she said the same thing to Takeru the first time they met and casually called him by his first name too.

.

It seems like the first step in becoming friends for Mitsuki is to call each other by their first names.

Incidentally, the people she doesn’t go [Hey, you can use my first name] with seem to be the sorts she doesn’t have a good impression of.

With that logic, it was made clear that she didn’t like the original Hideyori and Emi from the start.

.

I think when she first met Hideyori and Emi she said something like [Normally, I’d ask people for their names so I can deepen my friendship with them but you two are not worth my time].

The gap between how she treats her allies and enemies is one of the secret ingredients to Mitsuki’s popularity.

.

……..she told me to use her first name so I think I’m at least rated higher than the original Hideyori in her mind but this is my second encounter with her, I wonder what she thinks of me now?

.

.

.

“I’m, I’m an only child so I can’t really say anything here………..”

“Towa doesn’t have a sibling to quarrel with after all. It can’t be helped.”

.

Mitsuki showed a bitter smile.

Perhaps because she had been staring at Mitsuki, Risa finally noticed something.

.

.

“Is Mitsuki-san related to Fukamori-san from our class?”

“Yes. my twin sister is in Towa’s class.”

“Ahh, I knew it! I’ve been thinking that you looked so much like her!”

.

.

Although she hasn’t talked to the little sister, Fukamori Misuzu, who’s in the same class as us, it seems Risa managed to notice their relationship.

Since they are twins, their faces looked similar after all.

.

.

“But I have never seen Towa-san talk to Fukamori-san in our class before though?”

“Y, Yeah….. I’m not really good with her.”

.

.

Eien-chan’s expression turned complicated.

I can guess why.

.

.

“Are you in a fight with your sister too, Mitsuki?”

“K, Kind of…… basically speaking, that girl can’t handle other human beings……it looks like I’m included in that category as well so we don’t even get into fights though.”

.

.

Mitsuki awkwardly smiled while answering my question.

It’s as I expected. Rather, it would be more accurate to say that it went practically the same as how the original story did.

Misuzu has always treated her sister, Mitsuki, like some kind of nuisance after all……

Not to mention how it ended for the two of them…….

.

.

“Isn’t it because Risa cares for your brother that you got into fights with him? I kind of envy you for that you know.”

“Mitsuki-san……”

.

.

She sounds like she does envy Risa from the bottom of her heart.

I can tell that Mitsuki really cares for Misuzu.

Just like Takeru’s friendship with the original Hideyori, It’s a distorted relationship where her feelings will never reach her younger sister.

.

.

“That’s right! Risa is always together with Juumonji-san so it’s obvious that you two get along right! You should make up with him!”

“That’s true but…….Nii-san has always been with me, it’s like he is taking it for granted you know!”

“That’s her brocon-side talking isn’t it.”

“She’s such a big brocon isn’t she.”

“What? Are you picking a fight with me?”

.

.

Eien-chan and I whispered to each other while deliberately making our voices audible to Risa.

And while Risa was glaring at me and Eien-chan with a slightly pouting expression, her phone rang.

She noticed immediately and took out her smartphone.

.

.

“……..Emi-san, she said that Nii-san wanted to apologize and wanted her to relay the message. He even went out of his way to involve Emi-san for this…….”

“I mean, didn’t you just drag me into this too…..?”

“You’re focusing on that?”

“Wha-!? Of course, I am!?”

.

.

It seems like I was toyed with by Risa all day.

.

.

“But I won’t go home until I finish eating these fries and cheeseburger! Hamu Hamu.”

“I guess that’s a fight over huh? Seriously, I’m so jealous of you and your brother.”

“They get along so well after all~”

.

.

The three girls then started talking about school and girlish stuff like fashion and the like.

.

.

“That dress is so cute, Mitsuki-san! Where did you buy it?”

“This one’s from a place called Barry. There’s none in this area though.”

“Barry, that’s nostalgic! I used to visit it a lot with my mother! We couldn’t find any store better than Barry here after we moved so I really want to visit it again.”

“………….”

.

.

………..with nothing to add to the conversation, I just silently sit there and wait until we disband.

TLN: Nope, no fight here…..
