Chapter 1174 - Writ Of Challenge!

A new Cosmos had joined the Primordial Empire, and its entrance caused small waves to emanate out as the welcoming parties were actually rebuffed with utter disrespect!

Within one of the myriad of Cosmos under the jurisdiction of the House of Havenbreaker.

The two twin-like Daolords that just came from the Indigo Cosmos were bowing towards a figure of shocking prestige and power, a Daolord that had numerous Runic Dao Lines inscribed throughout her whole body as she emanated a notorious charm!

She was adorned in a golden dress that had unique inscriptions of white, her eyes cold as she glanced at the two Daolords below that spoke respectfully.

"Ancestor...the forces of this small Cosmos are actually so daring as to insult the prestige of all the Daolords of the Primordial Empire! They put nothing in their eyes as even if the Family Head was before them...they would probably be just as impetuous!"

WAA!

Their faces were utterly cold as they reported, but the gaze of the Daolord they termed Ancestor only nodded with a sharp light crossing her eyes as she spoke out lightly.

"I know you two are up next to manage another Cosmos and increase your pace in the collection of Marks of Antiquity, so I nominated you two to handle the Writ of Challenge for this Cosmos. But…"

The gaze of the powerful Daolord turned sharp as she continued.

"...this Cosmos has a Lesser Primordial Heart in their hands! Something that can produce multiple Antiquities and help one advance by hundreds of Universes. Many are eyeing such a treasure as you two are some of those that will uniquely be capable of sending a Writ of Challenge to them. You...cannot fail in this!"

…!

Her words were extremely commanding as the Daolords nodded, the two of them knowing full well the restrictions of the Writ of Challenge that a certain someone was learning about right now from a Primal Crystal.

"We don't know which Writ of Challenge this Daolord will choose, but be ready when the time comes…"

The carefully designed machinations of powerful existences began to weave wondrously, all of them targeting a single new Cosmos that apart from the Quintillions of existences within it...it had a Primordial Heart!

The inhabitants of this Cosmos were just now learning more of the Primordial Empire and the most important Writ of Challenge.

Within the Indigo Cosmos, Noah held the Primal Crystal as a fantastical light cascaded from it, knowledge flooding into his mind as his focus currently revolved around the Writ of Challenges!

What exactly were they?

They were a system established by the Great Conqueror to allow those with power to shine and rule over others!

The strong should lead, and the weak will remain so.

This was the system of power in the Primordial Empire!

But it had to be done in a proper way, and this was what Aegon established as the Writ of Challenges worked in a manner that would allow similarly powerful entities to fight and vie for supremacy. This is where the core of the Writ of Challenges lay- beings of similar power!

And the determinant of power in the Primordial Empire…was how many Cosmos an existence controlled.

'Kings' ruling and influencing a single Cosmos would be able to challenge other existences that rule over another Cosmos. Only the forces of these Cosmos would fight as the victor would take everything from the loser!

This system was designed with the knowledge that the most powerful Daolords would have multiple Cosmos they were overseeing, and weaker Daolords and Antiquities would only have a Cosmo or two that they looked over.

To prevent schemes of corruption where a tremendously powerful Daolord that controlled dozens of Cosmos momentarily relinquished control of them to only control 1 and then use his might to slowly win over lesser Daolords with Writs of Challenges, there was a time limit of them having to be influencing their cosmos for the past 100 years!

To be counted as a King overseeing a single cosmos, they had to have been doing this for 100 years before they could issue a Writ of Challenge to others who only controlled one Cosmos. After they won such a battle, they would right away be elevated to controlling two Cosmos as utilizing this method would grant nothing substantial in the end, so all powerful Daolords opted to increase the number of Cosmos under them as they amassed billions upon billions of Marks of Antiquity over the years.

This system will be explored more closely in the future for the sake of clarity, but all one had to know was that it was very hard to cheat this system of power!

But of course, the powerful Houses of the Primordial Empire always found ways to play things to their favor.

An example was the current Writ of Challenges that Noah could choose from the 'Kings' that stemmed from the three Houses, these beings each being in control of a single Cosmos just like him. Each of the Writs was from existences influencing a single Cosmos, and yet the forces of this single Cosmos included two or three Daolords!

Winning a battle against them would be nigh impossible for newly joining Cosmos that operated under different regulations than already established ones. But…that was only for other average Cosmos under average beings.

The Indigo Cosmos had Noah!

He absorbed the knowledge of the Primal Crystal as he made himself more and more clear of the Writs of Challenges and the other prominent things dealing with the Primordial Empire as the Antiquities around him looked towards him with worry.

"Daolord Osmont…was that wise to do?"

King Augustus spoke carefully as he looked towards the direction that the forces of the House of Stormdust had left in, these beings actually promising to not just take everything they had, but also to humiliate the forces under him as such distasteful words were not things that Augustus expected to hear from prestigious Daolords!

"Hmm?

Noah glanced at this old ruler that was filled with worry as he let out a light laugh, looking towards the rainbow colored bridges that he now knew were called Primordial Rainbow Bridges and sometimes Primordial Scaffoldings as his voice stretched out powerfully.

"Against those filled with arrogance, you can only reply to them with arrogance! Otherwise, you will just be rolled over for the foreseeable future."

His eyes shone with power as he said so, those around him not being able to help but focus on his figure as he spoke. He looked as if he was larger than they perceived him, his back being extremely wide and dependable as he seemed capable of shouldering everything by himself!
