Chapter 169 Smashed!!

As the octopus surged forward, a powerful jet of water spewed out from its body, propelling it tens of meters away. The Overlord watched in awe as the creature moved with incredible speed and agility.

"Wow, look at it go," he said, his eyes fixed on the creature.

The giant squid quickly closed in on him, its arms and legs reaching out to entangle him.

"Watch out!"  His Master Liu Yong shouted.

But the Overlord was ready for this attack. He dodged the creature's grasp with lightning-fast reflexes and retreated several hundred meters away.

"That was close," he said, panting heavily.

He quickly realized that the giant squid's movements were predictable, and he could anticipate its every move.

"I think I've got this figured out," he said confidently.

With his giant spear in hand, the Overlord charged forward, taking advantage of his impressive speed and agility.

"Go get 'em!"  Liu Yong shouted in support of Bawang.

He aimed the spear directly at the giant squid's head and rushed forward with fierce determination.

The giant squid was caught off guard and tried to block the attack with its massive arms and legs, but it was too late.

"Boom", "Boom" Boom"

The Overlord's spear pierced its head with a sickening thud, and he withdrew it triumphantly.

"Master, how about it, I am powerful," he declared, basking in the glory of his victory.

"Impressive work,"  Liu Yong said, giving a big applause.

"You really showed that squid who's boss."

Liu Yong heaved a sigh of relief. He had underestimated the Overlord's combat power just a little bit ago. Facing such a huge giant squid, he actually won a complete victory.

Liu Yong couldn't help but marvel at the wonders of the sea as he watched the massive corpse of a giant squid that the Overlord had just slain.

The creature was astounding, and he couldn't help but wonder what other creatures lay hidden in the depths of the sea.

But even as he marvelled at the creature, he knew it was fortunate that such a giant squid was restricted to the ocean's depths, where it posed no threat to ships and sailors. He knew that if the creature were to surface, it would be dangerous to all who sailed the seas.

As the Overlord examined the giant squid, Bawang eagerly claimed credit for the kill, and Liu Yong praised him for his efforts.

The Overlord then turned his attention to the creature's massive body and wondered aloud how it tasted.

Liu Yong advised him to try a few bites, and the Overlord wasted no time picking up one of the creature's legs and taking a bite.

As he chewed the meat, Bawang's eyes lit up in delight.

"The taste is first-class," he exclaimed, "rare and delicious. I like it, and I have been taking it orally these days."

Liu Yong couldn't help but marvel at how different the Overlord's tastes were from theirs. While he found the meat slightly sour and unappetizing, the Overlord enjoyed it.

As Bawang continued to rave about the giant squid's taste, Liu Yong couldn't help but laugh at his enthusiasm.

The creature was clearly a delicacy in the Overlord's eyes, and he had no doubt that it would enjoy feasting on the massive creature for days to come.

And indeed, as the Overlord ate his fill of the giant squid, Liu Yong couldn't help but marvel at the creature's sheer size. Even an arm or leg of the creature was more significant than most buildings on the land, yet the Overlord had managed to slay it easily.

As the Overlord finished his meal, he declared himself complete and promised to return for more when hungry. Liu Yong couldn't help but smile at the creature's insatiable appetite, and he knew they were in for some exciting times as they explored the depths of the sea and encountered new wonders and dangers alike.

The Overlord stopped eating the second arm, his curiosity piqued as he gazed upon the colossal black hole nearby.

"Master, I want to go in and take a look," he said to Liu Yong.

Liu Yong warned him to be careful, but the Overlord was confident in his abilities and held his giant spear tightly as he swam into the abyss. Inside, it was pitch black and impossible to see.

However, the Overlord relied on his keen perception and continued to explore the cave. He soon discovered that the cave was more extensive than anticipated and felt like a whole new world.

This was the giant squid's lair, and the Overlord couldn't wait to see what was inside. Meanwhile, Liu Yong kept a watchful eye from the outside, observing the events inside the cave as they unfolded.

As the Overlord delved deeper, Liu Yong's eyes caught sight of something shining on the cave's floor. Upon closer inspection, he saw a small pile of broken glass-like objects shimmering with an otherworldly radiance.

"What is that?" he wondered aloud, unable to identify the objects.

Upon zooming in, Liu Yong noticed that the objects were of varying sizes and colours, with some being as small as half a quail egg and others as large as an egg. They appeared to be transparent minerals, but he could not determine their true nature.

The Overlord surmised that the giant squid must have collected these objects over time, although he was surprised by its strange hobby.

The massive creature seemed unlikely to be interested in such small items, yet there they were.

The mystery deepened as the Overlord considered where the giant squid could have found these objects, as they were too small to be obtained from the sea.

Nevertheless, he remained determined to uncover the truth behind this enigma.

"Great Overlord, do you happen to see those shimmering objects on your right?" Bawang asked as he swam over to Overlord.

Upon inspecting the pile of objects, Bawang exclaimed with excitement, "Master, what a stunning find! I am enamored with it."

Liu Yongdao then assigned Bawang to bring some of the objects to their seaside warehouse, asking him to inform him once it had been completed.

"Right away, Master," Bawang replied.

Liu Yongdao's urgency stemmed from his curiosity to know what the objects were, and he couldn't wait to find out.

Bawang faithfully carried out his orders, even though the task was quite technical, given the small size of the objects.

After putting dozens of pills in his mouth, he managed to retrieve the objects and then exited the cave.

Once he emerged, he found the body of a giant squid lying dead on the ground. Being an intelligent creature, Overlord had dragged the body into the cave for temporary storage.

Bawang then stashed the squid's body away and approached Huahai City with the shiny objects in his mouth. He maintained a speed of around 190 knots for several hours, allowing him to swim for an extended period without any issues.

Liu Yongdao was eagerly anticipating the delivery of the objects, wondering what they could be.

"Were they worthless minerals or precious gemstones?"

Liu Yong couldn't help but remain thinking about it.
