Chapter 181 Breaking The World Record!

Yan Jiazhi gave a slight nod in acknowledgement before his gaze shifted towards Liu Yong. He had noticed Chen Hu and Liu Yong arrive in a big G from a distance earlier.

Although Chen Hu had gotten off the driver's seat, Liu Yong had gotten off from the back seat, and Yan Jiazhi couldn't be sure of his identity.

Chen Hu quickly stepped in and introduced Liu Yong as his boss, the man behind the Universal Company, a well-known business with a massive scale and impressive financial resources.

Yan Jiazhi felt a sudden eagerness arise within him as he had heard of their plans to construct a landmark building in Huahai City. The 98-story Universal Building would be situated right beside Century Avenue.

"It's an honor to meet you, Mr. Liu," Yan Jiazhi said, extending his hand to shake Liu Yong's hand. "I've admired your company's success for a long time."

Liu Yong smiled, returning the handshake. "Thank you, Mr. Yan. I'm glad to hear that."

"I'm happy to help you conduct a fitness test on your bodyguard," Yan Jiazhi said, eager to assist. "Although, I must say, Mr. Chen is already in his twenties, which may be a bit late to start exercising for optimal results."

Liu Yong chuckled. "I appreciate your concern, Mr. Yan, but I have faith in Chen Hu. I believe he's capable of running 100 meters in under 10 seconds."

Yan Jiazhi was shocked by this statement, as it was a rare feat in Asia. He shook his head and smiled wryly.

"Forgive me, Mr Liu, but that's quite the ambitious goal. Even the best domestic men's 100-meter time is 9.99 seconds."

Liu Yong looked surprised. "Is that so? Well, I'll take your word for it. But I still think Chen Hu can do it. He's quite the athlete."

Chen Hu looked pleased by his boss's vote of confidence.

"Thank you, Mr. Liu. I won't let you down."

Yan Jiazhi couldn't help but be impressed by Chen Hu's determination. "I look forward to seeing your progress, Mr. Chen."

Li Yu, one of the officials in charge of testing Chen Hu's 100-meter performance, stood next to Yan Jiazhi, overseeing the test.

He felt the need to remind Liu Yong, who seemed to need some clarification about the 100-meter test, that only one person in the country had run the 100-meter in 9.99 seconds, considered the best time in the nation.

Despite this, Liu Yong smiled confidently and did not offer any excuses, believing that Chen Hu's performance would speak for itself.

The preparations for the test were complete, with the Sports Bureau providing a standard playground, runway, and various testing instruments.

Chen Hu, dressed in sportswear, stood at the starting line, focused and ready to run. Liu Yong gave him an encouraging look, reassuring him that he believed in his abilities.

A gunshot marked the beginning of the test, and Chen Hu's reaction time was remarkable.

Yan Jiazhi and the others watching were astonished by his quick start, faster than any they had seen. Even the top international sprinters typically take about 0.15 seconds to react. This lightning-quick reaction time led to a faster running speed, and Chen Hu ran tens of meters before Yan Jiazhi, and the others even had a chance to react.

The onlookers knew that this performance meant Chen Hu had a real shot at running the 100-meter in under 10 seconds, which was an extraordinary feat in the world of sprinting.

The best men's 100-meter running time in China was only 9.99 seconds, and in international competitions, the 100-meter event was dominated by African and European descent athletes.

However, Chen Hu was different. His speed was unparalleled, and he ran the 100-meter in just 9.55 seconds, shattering the world record.

The scene was silent as Yan Jiazhi and the others tried to process what they had just witnessed.

The accomplishment was beyond their wildest dreams, and they were left in awe of Chen Hu's incredible feat.

Yan Jiazhi even had to take medication to calm himself down. The track and field coach Li Yu was equally astonished, convinced he must be dreaming because what he saw was just too unbelievable to be confirmed.

Throughout the scene, Liu Yong remained calm and smiled, while Chen Hu scored a perfect 100 in strength, physique, and agility, breaking the world record easily.

After a long silence, Yan Jiazhi couldn't contain his excitement and waved his hands, "Coach Li, test again, test again!"

Li Yu shared Yan's concerns about the accuracy of the test, so he arranged for Chen Hu to take his place on the track once more for a retest. "On your marks! Get ready, run!" he announced.

As soon as the starting gun fired, Chen Hu's starting reaction was lightning-fast, making it seem like he had started running at the same time as the gunshot. He finished the race in an incredible 9.50 seconds, an improvement of 0.05 seconds from his previous time.

The audience was left in stunned silence yet again. Yan Jiazhi was so excited that he reached for his small medicine bottle, only to remember that he had already taken his dose. He gazed at Chen Hu with awe, fully aware that the men's 100m international competition was about to transform significantly, with Yan Guo players emerging victorious.

"9 seconds 50!" exclaimed Yan. "This is an achievement that no other contestant can match!"

Yan Jiazhi walked up to Liu Yong, grasped his hand tightly, and expressed gratitude for sending such a remarkable talent to their country.

"Mr Liu, thank you for sending such outstanding sports talents to our country," he said with great surprise.

Li Yu also approached Liu Yong with a humble apology, "Mr. Liu, I apologize to you. You did not misunderstand the men's 100-meter event, but I just watched the sky."

Liu Yong smiled generously and reminded them, "In addition to 100 meters, Chen Hu is also good at 200 meters and 800 meters. You can also test the long jump."

"Yes, yes, arrange it immediately," Yan Jiazhi ordered.

And so, the testing continued. Next, they arranged for the 200 meters test. The excitement in the air was palpable, and everyone eagerly waited to see Chen Hu's incredible abilities on display once again.

By and large, athletes who perform well in the 100-meter race also tend to excel in the 200-meter event. Yan Jiazhi eagerly anticipated Chen Hu's performance in the 200-meter race, and so were others, including Li Yu.

Initially, the playground was relatively empty, with fewer than ten people present before the 100-meter race. However, word quickly spread, and more and more people started to arrive.

eαglesnovel`c,om "Hey, have you heard? The men's 100-meter race is happening now. Let's go and watch!" said one person.

"What's the point? Our country's performance in this event is not that impressive. Even athletes from our Huahai City are not that good. If someone can run under 11 seconds, it's considered decent," replied another.

But their conversation was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a young man who ran the 100-meter test in an astonishing 9.50 seconds.

"Oh my God! Did you see that? He just ran the 100-meter race in 9.50 seconds!" exclaimed one person in disbelief.

"It's impossible!" said another, still in shock.

"No, it's true. I heard that the 200-meter race is about to begin. Let's go and watch Chen Hu. I'm sure he'll do great," said a third person excitedly.

The Sports Bureau officials also arrived at the playground to observe Chen Hu's performance in the 200-meter test, and as a result, the crowd grew even more significant.

As Chen Hu took his position at the starting line, the number of onlookers grew to around 40 to 50. When the starting gun fired, Chen Hu burst off the line with tremendous speed, impressing the spectators.

"Wow, he's got an incredible start!" remarked one person, amazed.

"I know, right? Look at him go!" replied another, cheering Chen Hu on.
