Chapter 129 - Attack

"Is it this place?"

"It must be here according to the coordinates that I have received."

Kain and team leader Dains stopped at one place after walking for about half an hour and checked the location.

"Where is the hideout? Is it hidden with a barrier?"

"Yes. I was told that it was surrounded by a barrier that made it invisible to the outside."

Kain looked around for a little bit before asking another question.

"Where is the informant?"

No matter where he looked, there was no one around this place other than themselves. There was also no place for someone to hide.

"Inside the barrier.

"Yes?"

Kain jerked his head towards the team leader with a surprised face.

'How did he go there without anyone noticing? No. How did that person even inform team leader Dains if he is still inside the barrier?'

Team leader Dains didn't pay any attention to Kain and instead, said something else.

"We have to break the barrier."

He then turned towards the unit members.

"Get into the formation. Surrounder the whole place."

He looked at someone while saying that.

Rai nodded his head after seeing that face. He closed his eyes and raised one hand.

The next moment, the air around them started to move.

It just moved a little bit, almost as if it was shaking.

The shakings made people realize something weird.

There was a small space where the movements of the air were different from the other places.

It was as if that spot wasn't affected by the other parts of the land.

Like it was not connected to the other part.

"The barrier..."

Kain mumbled that under his lips.

Rai moving the air made everyone find out the exact location and size of the barrier.

They were now sure that there was something in this place.

"Don't forget that it might be a trap, so remember to be careful."

"Yes, sir."

Kain nodded and signaled to the members of unit 6, which were bigger in number compared to unit 5.

"Follow me."

Following his words, the group divided themselves into smaller teams and surrounded the whole place.

"Well then."

Them leader Dains took out his guns and walked back, standing behind the group, while Carlson stood in the front with his sword in his hand.

A magical shield then surrounded the whole group.

Team leader Dains closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

The next moment, A dark line-like thing appeared in front of them, floating in the air.

The line then started to get thicker, as if something was pulling two sides of it and distancing them from each other.

A black layer appeared in the air. The space was being torn apart.

. . . . .

'Who the hell was he? What did he do that for?'

He was unable to understand the situation.

Why did the man jump into the hole to talk to him and then leave all of a sudden?

Did the man leave after hearing the girl's voice so that the girl wouldn't find out about him?

But why?

Shouldn't that man tell his boss that there was an intruder, a spy?

The man also said it was fun to talk to him.

'He even called me an SFB! That bastard!'

What was that man's goal anyway?

'Should I just stop him?'

It wouldn't be hard to erase the whole thing if he used his power.

He had used quite a lot of his power in the recent few days to chase that damned coin-throwing motherfucker, but he could still use it once or two times more.

The problem was that he wasn't sure if that would be the right thing to do.

He wasn't sure if it was necessary to do that.

He wasn't sure if it would be beneficial to let the man go or not.

That man didn't seem to want to harm him, but he couldn't guess what people's intentions were after only exchanging a few words with them.

While he was busy contemplating and weighing his choices, the man and the teenager entered the hideout again.

'Damn it!'

He had to get out of here as soon as possible. He wouldn't be safe if that man told others about him spying on them.

Others were around here. He would be safe if he left this barrier.

Just when he was about to leave the hole he was hiding it, he saw something.

The space twisted and a line appeared on the air.

The line then turned to a thin, small, and dark layer.

It was as if a part of the world was cut like a piece of paper being torn.

He could sense a vibration in the air.

The barrier surrounding the hideout was being destroyed.

'Oh! Am I saved?'

He looked at the spot where the barrier was being torn apart.

It was exactly in front of the hideout's entrance.

Exactly where the two people, the teenager, and the man, had entered a few seconds ago.

He walked towards the torn spot in the barrier.

He ran to that spot as fast as he could.

. . . . .

BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP

A loud sound broke the silence of the land.

It was the hideout's alarms ranging out.

BEEEP BEEEP BEEEP

"What?"

"Why are the alarms-"

"Who is that?"

People in the building jumped up after hearing the unexpected alarm. Everyone was surprised.

"W-What is going on?"

The girl and the man, that was entering the building through the door, were pushed away by the crowd.

"The barrier!"

"We are under attack!"

"Enemy!"

People in the hideout ran out of the building, confused.

What they saw once they looked outside was their barrier being broken.

They were quick to realize the situation.

They were under attack.

They quickly grabbed their weapons and prepared for a fight.

"H-Hey! Wh-What is going on?"

Claire grabbed the man's clothes with a slightly shaking hand and walked away from the entrance.

"We have been found out."

"F-found out?"

The man nodded his head.

"SFB!!"

He lowered his head and put his hand on his chin, mumbling something to himself.

"Secret Fighting Battalion!!?? Hmm..."

"...."

Claire looked at the man, who was saying some things that she didn't understand and pulled him back.

"We've got to get out of here!"

They didn't need to try so hard to get out of that place as they were automatically pushed inside by the other people.

The people standing at the door then saw something else.

A man who was running towards the breaking barrier.

He wasn't one of them.

It was easy for them to understand that after seeing the clothes he was wearing.

"Intruder!"

"Capture that man!"

But before they could take even one step closer to him, the barrier was broken.

A small part of the barrier disappeared, while the rest was still being eaten away by the black space.

And on the other side stood a group of masked individuals.

"T-they-!"

The man in the front raised his sword to the air.

"Hello there!"

Baaaannngggg!!!

A white aura slash hit the people standing in front of the hideout.

Before they could even react, bullets rained down on their heads.

The people all got swept away in a few seconds.

. . . . .

"...."

Gulp

He gulped and looked at the people who were torn apart.

He looked at the corpses in front of him and slowly turned his head back with a robotic movement.

He glared at the people standing there and moved his lips, a coarse voice left his mouth.

"What the fuck do you think you are doing?"

He glared at the person who was standing at the rear and had a uniform totally different from the others.

"Do you motherfuckers want to kill me? Huh?"

He glared at the man who was holding two guns and clenched his fists.

He dodged the aura slash by a hair's breadth.

He was also almost hit by the bullets.

Plus, his favorite pajamas were stained with blood now.

The swordsman in the front lowered his sword and looked back.

"T-team leader? What is going on? Why is Alan Gill here?"

"Sigh."

The team leader sighed.

"He is the informant I was talking about."

"What?"

"Don't waste time. We will talk about it later."

Alan glared at the team leader and clicked his tongue.

'Bastard!'

He stomped towards the group while still glaring at the team leader.

Everyone was staring at him, and he cursed anyone that he made eye contact.

The group turned their head after looking at his face for a few seconds and focused on the mission.

"...."

Alan turned towards someone who had been staring at him without moving since the moment he got out of the barrier.

"What's it, fuckface?"

He couldn't really see the person's face as it was covered with a mask, but that didn't matter.

"....."

"Hah? Are you deaf? Fuck off!"

. . . . . .

"...."

Kairen blankly started at the man.

'Why is Alan Gill here?'

No, wait.

Is it really him?

"What's it, fuckface?"

"...."

"Hah? Are you deaf? Fuck off!"

It was really him.

'Did team leader Dains just call him the informant?'

And he was inside the barrier.

How?

Alan clicked his tongue and walked past him, entering their formation and standing at the center.

"WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!"

"Intruders!"

"Call the boss!"

Another bunch of people rushed out of the building, holding their weapons.

They stared at the group of masked people who had attacked them with angry faces and hurriedly tried to get into a formation.

But it was too late for them.

SWOSSHH

The barrier was now completely gone.

Team leader Dains raised his hand holding the gun and shouted.

"Attack."
