Chapter 208 - What Is His Name?

The first day finished without anything happening. Everything went as planned and all of the agents did their job properly. So did the second day. Everything was just perfect in the first two days of the prince's trip.

During these two days, the prince and the politicians of the two countries had meetings all the time. They didn't leave the building much and stayed inside all the time so there was no need for the escorts to do much.

The meetings were mostly about solving the small problems that were causing conflicts between the two countries and other things related to international relationships.

Kairen didn't know about the details, but according to the news, a lot of good things would happen once the Prince and the president signed the contract they were working on.

They were talking about peace between the two countries and the meetings were all related to it. They were working on making the relationship between the two countries better by having more interactions with each other in different ways such as marketing and such stuff.

Anyway, none of them mattered to Kairen as his job was not related to any of them. He just wanted to stay alive for this one week and then rest for a long time.

"Phew!"

Kairen adjusted the sleeves of his uniform as he heaved a sigh.

"They should come out any time now."

Team leader Dains said while taking one last look at his subordinates.

They were currently gathered outside of the residence of the prince. It was the third day of his stay here and according to the schedule, he would visit some damaged parts of the borders. It was still early in the morning, around 5 AM, but all of the team who would escort the man were here already.

The prince, alongside his guards, would teleport to a waypoint on a city near the borders. He then would ride to different locations and visit them.

It was only some formality, something like a show for the people to see that the two sides were getting along and were disappointed about the misfortunes that had happened to the two countries.

While the prince was doing this, the diplomats would be having another meeting with the president. That said, half of unit 6 would still be staying in the capital.

"Ah! Good morning everyone!"

Kairen snapped out of his thoughts and looked towards the entrance of the prince's resistance. He could see the young prince slowly walking out of his residence while being surrounded by the members of unit 6.

Smile

He shot a bright smile towards the cold statues that were waiting for him outside. A smile that was so radiant that it almost blinded the people when they looked at it. Until now, Kairen had almost thought that no one was able to beat Rai's brightness, but he was wrong. This prince here definitely had the number 1 brightest smile in the world.

'Nah! What do you mean by the brightest smile why am I even thinking about such things?'

Kairen shook his head internally. He was too tired his dumb self was taking over his mind.

"Shall we go?"

Before teleporting, they first had to escort the prince to the teleportation center. For that cause, the teleportation center was completely closed to the public since last night and no one was allowed inside until the prince would be back from his trip this night.

"Please, this way!"

The deputy team leader of unit 6 pointed at a car with his arm. The prince nodded his head and sat inside it. Kain sat on the seat next to the prince and then looked at team leader Dains.

"Alan, Kairen!"

As soon as they heard the team leader's words, Alan and Kairen both approached the car and sat inside it.

As soon as the three people who would be with the prince were chosen, the other guards all sat inside different cars in an instant. The car started to move after team leader Dains signaled the driver.

Kairen looked at the other two people that were with him.

'Isn't this actually a perfect group?'

First, there was Alan that could literally turn back time if anything ever happened to the prince. Him alone was enough to make one sure that the prince would arrive at the destination safe and sound.

Then, there was Kairen, who was a freak who could sense the things that the others couldn't and could warn the others if Alan didn't notice the danger. As a freak, he also had a freaking power that was freaking strong.

There was also Kain who could help in both defense and offense, so Alan and Kairen only needed to stay back and let him do the fighting parts.

"Sorry for causing so much trouble."

Kairen jolted towards the prince.

"Pardon?"

It seemed that he was quicker in getting surprised than Kairen as he subconsciously asked that question the moment he heard the prince's words.

"I didn't think Hainston would go to such length to protect me... I didn't expect them to dispatch so many agents as my guards and it was really not necessary."

The boy who could barely be regarded as an adult lowered his head with an apologetic face.

"My travel must've caused you a lot of trouble."

"...."

"...."

Kain and Kairen locked eyes.

'What is this boy talking about?'

'I don't understand!'

'What are we supposed to say now?'

'Are we even allowed to talk to him?'

The two of them turned back towards the prince.

"I meant to apologize sooner, but didn't get the chance to do so until now."

Kairen and Kain glanced at each other for one more second before Kain carefully opened his mouth.

"This is our duty to protect you... sir..."

He frowned after reaching the part where he had to refer at the prince. He tilted his head a little bit and said the last 'sir' with a little bit of doubt. He then glanced back at Kairen.

'Did I say the right thing?'

'How would I know?'

Kain looked back at the prince.

"...Sir... Your highness..."

Kain frowned even more. This didn't seem right either. He lowered his head and quietly mumbled.

"My prince? Sir prince?"

"Pffft!"

Kain flinched and looked up.

"Haha! Hahaha!"

The prince covered his mouth with a hand as he continued to laugh.

'What? What? Did I do anything wrong? Shouldn't I have said that?'

Kain looked at Kairen with a panicked face.

'Why did you have to say that! You could've just acted deaf!'

Kairen raised his two eyebrows and silently screamed.

'But wouldn't he be offended if I didn't answer him?'

'You could've just pretended to be a cool agent that doesn't let anything get in the way of his job even if that is the prince of a country's words!'

Kain frowned slightly.

'I didn't understand that sentence!'

Kairen frowned even more.

Was that sentence too complicated to be understood through eye telepathy?

"Haha! Ahem!"

While Kairen was wondering about that, the prince coughed and stopped laughing.

"There is no need to call me like that!"

He waved his hand up and down.

"You can call me by my name! Ah, only when we are alone though!"

He looked at Kain with a meaningful gaze.

"I personally wouldn't mind being called by my name, but the others around me would think you are disrespecting me... so..."

Kain blinked a few times as he looked at the prince's smiling face with a dumbfounded look, before suddenly lowering his head.

"I wouldn't dare to, sir!"

"Ah, no! It's okay!"

"I am a mere agent! I can't call the prince of a country by name!"

"But it's okay!"

It was at that moment that the car suddenly stopped moving.

"Sir, we've arrived!"

Someone knocked on the window beside Kain. Kain raised his head and looked outside. Seeing the familiar building of the teleportation center, he smile and opened the door. He left the car, followed by the prince and the others inside the car.

As soon as the prince left the car, he was surrounded by guards again and was escorted to the building.

While watching the prince leave, Kain leaned closed to Kairen.

"Hey!"

He glanced around once before opening his mouth.

"What is the name of the prince anyway?"

He made sure the prince was gone far before continuing his words.

"I couldn't remember it so... Was I being too obvious?"

"...."

"He wouldn't understand that I didn't remember his name, would he? Can he even punish me for forgetting his name?"

"...."

Kairen smiled softly at Kain and patted his shoulder.

"You were perfect. Your act only lacked the 'Please kill me for the sins I've committed!', part."

"...."

Kain took one step back.

"Tsk!"

He clicked his tongue as he glared at Kairen.

"Tsk!"

He shook his head as he clicked his head once again.

"Disappointment!"

He turned around and walked towards the prince.
