CH 51

Yan Yi was so shocked that his vision turned dark. With his cheek pressed against Lu Shangjin’s chest, the narcissus pheromones infused into his nose and glands.

“Lu Shangjin?” Yan Yi murmured this name.

“It’s me, I’m here.” Lu Shangjin gripped the Souct rifle and encircled Yan Yi into his arms with his forearm, sitting up on the ground covered with dust and broken glass.

“Are you okay?” Lu Shangjin put his hand on Yan Yi’s neck and touched him from head to toe. Ensuring that there weren’t any wounds, he breathed a sigh of relief.

With his cheek held by a dusty and bloodstained hand, Yan Yi froze.

This alpha also had old, raised scars on his palm. When it was placed on his cheek, Yan Yi could hear his heart beating.

He saw this alpha’s ribs soaked and dripping with blood.

Inexplicably, an evil fire suddenly rose from deep in Yan Yi’s heart.

He grabbed the AK47 hanging from Lu Shangjin and skillfully hung it around himself. Carrying it single-handedly, he climbed up from Lu Shangjin and extended a fine white hand towards him.

Overwhelmed by the unexpected flattery, Lu Shangjin grasped his hand gently and stood up.

He had thought that Yan Yi wouldn’t be willing to let him hold his hand again.

Yan Yi looked down and checked the magazine, raising his long, curled eyelashes to look at Lu Shangjin, “Bullets.”

“…”  Lu Shangjin unfolded his suit jacket, and the inside lining hung two fans of bullets for him to choose from. At the same time, he tried to ask, “Do you remember me now…”

Yan Yi interrupted him, “Give me the empty bullets.”

Lu Shangjin choked for a moment, then gave him all the empty bullets.

The little rabbit ears keenly caught the sound of rustling approaching. Yan Yi held up his right hand and lightly shot in the direction of one o’clock.

While pulling the trigger, a gland hunter was shot through the heart and flew out as he descended down the climbing rope, blood bursting in a splatter from his internal injuries.

One had to admit that he was a well-trained top fighting machine that would select extremely lethal hollow-point bullets to approach his targets.

The figure of the little rabbit coincided with the lover buried by dust in his heart. At the beginning, he was the one who had been obsessed and infatuated with Lu Shangjin. One side of him was romantic, while the other side was cruel, as he held a gun in his hand and a rose between his lips.

It was Lu Shangjin who told Yan Yi to put away his wings and become a bird in a cage to satisfy his desire for control. When the little rabbit obediently changed, Lu Shangjin was still not satisfied.

His unpredictability and capriciousness over the years must have confused the little rabbit.

Following the climbing rope, Yan Yi jumped up and tipped his chin slightly towards Lu Shangjin, “Keep up.”

Lu Shangjin leaped lightly before grabbing the climbing rope and climbed up quickly. He grasped Yan Yi’s waist and pulled him into his arms, wrapping his arms around him and flipping back to the collapsed roof of the building.

The feeling of being held was quite good, although it was an inappropriate situation.

Yan Yi simply carried the AK as his left hand held onto Lu Shangjin’s neck, letting him climb up as he carried him.

He didn’t reject his touch and embrace. The corners of Lu Shangjin’s lips pulled up as he relaxed a little.

There was still a chance to recover. As long as Yan Yi was willing to give him a chance, he would make up for what he did wrong.

Yan Yi casted him a sidelong glance, putting the gunstock against Lu Shangjin’s chin and asked, “Did I spoil you this much in the past? You’re pretty good looking.”

“What?” Lu Shangjin reacted after a long time.

What the hell did that spider do to Yan Yi? How could his memory be this distorted?

Artificially induced memory disorders could cause gradual erosion of nerves within the brain, which was harmful to an omega’s health.

Lu Shangjin kissed his forehead and answered with difficulty, “…Yes, you spoiled me very very much.”

I didn’t cherish it at that time, it was all as wasted as scrap paper.

The top floor was set ablaze with gunfire, heavy machine guns and bullets were concentrated in one corner. With one arm, Shao Wenjing hugged Wenchi who had cried until his eyes were red, and took off his bulletproof vest to wrap him in his arms. He escaped from the chaos of gunshots and entered the collapsed iron gate, meeting Lu Shangjin and Yan Yi who were running up while holding onto the stairs.

Seeing that Wenchi was safe and sound, Yan Yi’s white-knuckled grip around the AK loosened.

Shao Wenjing glanced at Yan Yi and released soothing pheromones. He wasn’t in the mood to take care of others right now. Wenchi was scared to death, shaking in his arms.

The smell of poppy surrounded Yan Yi. Yan Yi’s body vibrated as he subconsciously followed him downstairs.

His steps were a bit hurried, seeming like Shao Wenjing didn’t mean to wait for him. Yan Yi bit his lips and broke free from Lu Shangjin’s restraint to go after him.

“Yan Yan!” Lu Shangjin immediately pulled Yan Yi into his arms, growling out of exasperation at his failures, “You still want to go with him?!”

“He is my alpha, who else am I going with…” Yan Yi heard his own fear at the end of his response, the panic of being left behind.

Shao Wenjing saw him locking the little rabbit tightly in his arms. Holding Wenchi in his own arms, he had no time to care about others.

It seemed that he could not snatch back the A3 glands today.

“What’s the use of catching hold of him?” He held Wenchi and brushed past Lu Shangjin, sneering in a low voice, “I’ve marked him. Right now, he is my omega.”

A few words carrying a frivolous ending were spat out in a tone that wasn’t light nor heavy, smashing holes in Lu Shangjin’s already cracking heart.

A strand of spider silk quietly connected to Yan Yi’s glands and pumped out all the toxins that had been injected before to trigger memory disorientation.

“He will hate you to death, good luck.” Shao Wenjing snorted with a laugh before climbing down the stairs with Wenchi in his arms and fled towards the exit.

Lu Shangjin locked Yan Yi more tightly into his arms and parted the hair that covered the nape of his neck. The marks left by his teeth were still there, an eight-legged spider totem imprint appeared on Yan Yi’s gland.

Depression and resentment that he had suppressed for several days instantly ignited. Narcissus pheromones soared up in the tight space, and in the next moment, he activated his accompanying ability “seize”. He wanted to tear that spider to pieces immediately.

Yan Yi stood there like his soul had freed itself from his body.

It was as if something had been stripped from his body as he stood lifelessly in place for a long time, watching Shao Wenjing’s back leaving without turning back at all.

He was under the impression that there had been an alpha who left in this same way.

He had resolutely thrown him a backward glance, like driving out into the countryside and ruthlessly throwing off a seriously ill dog, where it was free to live or die from then on.

In the end, he was still his omega. Watching the trance-like lonely look in his eyes which were still hopelessly soft, Lu Shangjin hastily put away his pheromone and did not go after Shao Wenjing. Instead, he held Yan Yi tightly and wrapped him in his clothes, his voice trembling and hoarse, “It’s my fault, let’s go home, ge will think of a plan for you.”

He glanced at the direction where Shao Wenjing disappeared, narrowed his eyes, and engraved the figure of his back ruthlessly in his mind.

He admitted that every little thing he had done to Yan Yi was all excessively vile.

But he had not been willing to mark him and let him become a prey to be hunted by Lu Lin’s line of sight. This was Lu Shangjin’s sincere and genuine protection, even if it had deteriorated before.

Yan Yi never said anything again.

Lu Shangjin took advantage of his lack of resistance and took him away.

Chang Hui villa had been vacant for a long time without much popularity.

Through the French windows, the clouds coming down from the sky could be seen, brewing a cloud of thunder.

Lu Shangjin had been waiting for a storm that would come sooner or later.

He even wanted the little rabbit to get ruthlessly mad at him. Even if the little rabbit hit him, he would not even fight back in the slightest.

But Yan Yi had curled into himself, huddling in the corner of the sofa with nothing in his eyes, empty and void.

The only movement he made was to hold his little belly while wearing a confused expression.

Lu Shangjin held the report of the confirmed false pregnancy and slowly approached him. Pointing to the text on the report, with his voice light and low, he didn’t dare to over stimulate Yan Yi’s spirit.

“It’s a false pregnancy, ge didn’t kill our child.” Lu Shangjin held the report and showed it to him, “You see, there was nothing. But if you want a child, we will definitely have one in the future.”

Yan Yi stared straight at the report, his head hurting severely. Disoriented memories barged around as they fought in his brain, the disordered fragments were like a drawer that had been tossed through, unable to find the things that he was looking for, and the things he wanted to throw were piling up everywhere.

Lu Shangjin released sufficient soothing pheromones while getting a little closer to Yan Yi, gathering the stiff body into his arms as he patted him and coaxed in a low voice, “You shouldn’t believe a false report. It was Shao Wenjing’s foment. The photo from before was all sowing discord from him.”

The examination report in his hand was suddenly yanked out.

Yan Yi became absorbed in looking at the report.

Lu Shangjin slowed down the dose of soothing pheromones and gently rubbed Yan Yi’s arm, “We will have children. I love you, and love the baby. Forgive me and we can start over, okay?”

Yan Yi was completely indifferent.

He didn’t struggle strongly, sitting dully in Lu Shangjin’s arms. His body felt like it had passed through an ice cellar, so cold that Lu Shangjin shivered.

As the spider markings on his neck repelled Lu Shangjin’s soothing pheromones, Lu Shangjin released more soothing pheromones, causing Yan Yi to show an even more painful expression.

He suddenly remembered clearly the day when Shao Wenjing bit the back of his neck to inject pheromones with both his hands parting his legs.

The terrible flashback sent chills throughout his body.

“I don’t want to.”

Yan Yi pushed Lu Shangjin away forcefully, so forcefully that he fell off the sofa. He knelt on the floor to retch, wanting to throw up all the nauseating feelings deep in his bones.

When Lu Shangjin approached, he turned over the glass coffee table and smashed everything in the living room that he could see to pieces.

“Get out of here–get out!!!”

All of a sudden, Yan Yi went crazy, pushing Lu Shangjin out and destroying things frantically. He hissed out loudly, “What sort of thing is an alpha! What sort of thing! Don’t come close to me! You are all equally disgusting, get out!!!”

The wound on Lu Shangjin’s ribs was hit by the flying ashtray, and a mass of blood-red instantly passed through the snow-white gauze.

He didn’t care about the pain. Taking advantage of the moment when Yan Yi lost his concentration, he went over to hold him tight and kissed his forehead, not letting go as he let Yan Yi scold, hit and struggle in his arms.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” Lu Shangjin’s trembling lips repeated the words over and over again, “Ge will avenge you. As long as you get better, ge will avenge you. Don’t be like this, don’t hurt yourself.”

Yan Yi gradually stopped struggling and hung his arms, standing powerlessly, as if without Lu Shangjin’s support, a breeze could blow him over.

“I don’t want to see any of you.” He said.

The smell belonging to Lu Shangjin on his glands had already disappeared. Without the A3 higher-grade glandular instincts dependent on the person who marked him, the dazzling colour of Lu Shangjin in his eyes gradually became one with the surrounding grey world.

Lu Shangjin was not the most special alpha anymore.

Shao Wenjing even less so.

It was like being trapped and wandering among the vast river of stars, but after asking every star, there was no place for him.

The fabric on his shoulder became warm. Lu Shangjin looked down and realized that Yan Yi was weeping silently, not a single trace of light left in his eyes.
