118 A Sleeping Little Fairy
A long heavy sigh escaped him as Bai Qi walked out of the operation theatre. His hands were massaging his stiff shoulder.
As he walked out the door, the patient’s family stood up and walked over to his side. Their faces were anxious as they were waiting to hear news about their family.
Bai Qi spent a few minutes explaining the situation and saw them breathe in relief. After exchanging a few more words with them, Bai Qi headed out and planned to take a few hours of sleep.
A few hours ago, a patient was brought over to the hospital. He was involved in an accident and would require immediate surgery quickly.

Because he was on duty, Bai Qi had to enter the surgery room with a few others.

There was a sleeping little fairy in the waiting room.

Hearing the whispering voice, Bai Qi turned around and saw that Nurse Tian was standing next to him with a smile on her face.
“Miss Zhang came over to look for you,” Nurse Tian spoke as she glanced at the sleeping lady. “She wanted to wait until your surgery ended. I had no other choice but to let her wait here.”
Bai Qi nodded. “Alright. Nurse Tian, thank you. I will take it from here.”
After exchanging a few more words, Nurse Tian left, leaving the two of them in the waiting area.
Bai Qi stared at Zhang Li Xue’s sleeping visage for a long time, wondering why was she coming to the hospital so late to look for him.
However, a few seconds later, Bai Qi watched as Zhang Li Xue’s head slid down to one side. He rushed over and stretched out his hand to stop her from falling.
A breath of relief escaped him.

He could see her long lashes and cute nose. Even when she was sleeping, Zhang Li Xue was still adorable.

Her face heated up and she quickly looked away from him. “Your surgery ended?” Because she had been sleeping, Zhang Li Xue’s eyes sounded a little hoarse.

“Nurse Tian said that you were waiting for me?” Bai Qi smiled. “What is it that was so important that you could not wait until tomorrow?”

Zhang Li Xue fumbled with her purse and took out the old photograph. He handed it to him and spoke, “Doctor Bai, I have some questions for you.”
