266 Be Nice

As the food sizzled on the grill, everyone came out of the house and gathered in the backyard.

The younger generations were having a basketball match, while the older generations were helping with the griller while drinking to their heart’s content.

Zhang Yu Han looked at the lively atmosphere outside the house and sighed. He wanted to go out to join the fun, but his wife made him stay indoors to tidy up the place a little bit.

Zhang Yu Han followed his wife to the kitchen. Seeing the mysterious look in her eyes made him curious to know what she was going to tell. His curiosity heightened up when he saw that his wife was holding both of his hands.

Everyone was outside, but what was his wife trying to do when she pulled him to a quiet place? Thinking of all the possibilities that the two of them could do in the kitchen makes him smile.

“Hubby, promise me that you will stay calm,” Li Qin Yao said.

Zhang Yu Han raised a brow and laughed. “What is it?” Seeing that his wife did not answer him right away, Zhang Yu Han finally heaved a long breath and spoke, “Well, I promise.”

The smile on her face widened. “Li Xue is bringing a friend today.”

“A friend?” All of the sudden, Zhang Yu Han had a premonition.

“Uh-huh.” Li Qin Yao nodded. “She wanted to introduce her friend to you. So, whatever it is, you have to stay calm, alright?”

His instinct was telling him that this should not be just a friend. Otherwise, why would his wife ask him to stay calm?

Zhang Yu Han could hear voices coming from the living area. He stared at his wife for a few seconds before he walked out to look at what was going on.

When he came out, Zhang Yu Han noticed that his parents were talking to a stranger. The most amazing thing was that this stranger seemed to be holding hands with his daughter.

His face turned darker.

Before Zhang Yu Han could go over and ask what was going on, his wife had already grabbed his arms. He looked at her and saw the smile on her face.

It turned out that his wife had a reason when she asked him to stay calm.

Noticing his presence, Zhang Li Xue turned and froze for a few seconds. The smile on her face became awkward. “Daddy.”

Taking a deep breath, Zhang Yu Han followed his wife and walked over to his daughter. He gave the stranger a lookover and realized that he had seen this man before.

“Daddy.” Zhang Li Xue went to her father’s side and held his arms. Her eyes were watching him cautiously. Seeing that her father was still staring at Bai Qi made her anxious.

Zhang Li Xue had an urge to cry. She was too anxious to introduce Bai Qi to her father. Her heart was beating fast and her hands felt a little clammy.

Seeing her mother’s encouraging smile gave her confidence. Zhang Li Xue inhaled a deep breath and spoke again, “Daddy, I have someone that I’d like to introduce you to.”

“Of course, I know.” Li Qin Yao did not try to hide this fact. “I have met him a few times. Hubby, I think, Bai Qi is good for Li Xue.”

The frown on his face deepened. “You approve of him?”

Li Qin Yao laughed. “If I did not approve of him, would I let Li Xue bring him home? Alright. You promised that you will stay calm. This is the first time Li Xue had brought home someone. You have to be nice to him, okay?”
