267 I Need a Drink

The atmosphere in the backyard was very lively with the sounds of laughter.

Seeing that they were running out of drinks, Wei Jun Hao volunteered to go to the kitchen and pick up some stuff. After all, as the son-in-law of the Zhang family, this was something that he should do.

Wei Jun Hao was about to enter the house when he noticed that the atmosphere in the living room was a little too strange. Then, he slowly realized that there was an additional person in the room.

His eyes finally fall on Bai Qi. Then, Wei Jun Hao shifted his gaze to Zhang Yu Han before he took a few steps back and ran away.

A few cursing words escaped his lips.

Wei Jun Hao looked for his wife and spoke, “Something happened.”

Zhang Yu Ying was in the middle of chatting with the others when her husband suddenly appeared. Her brow furrowed upon noticing Wei Jun Hao’s pale face. “What happened?”

“Li Xue invited Bai Qi over,” Wei Jun Hao spoke. “Yu Han is in the living room with them.”

The chattering voices gradually dimmed. Suddenly, everyone was looking at Wei Jun Hao in shock.

“Bai Qi?” Lin Xiao Feng spoke.

“Li Xue’s boyfriend,” Su Ming Yuan explained. “You were in Capital City when Li Xue introduced him to us.”

Lin Xiao Feng nodded. On that day, Qi Ming Wei invited him to come to the Wei residence as well. However, he was too busy with his work and could not take a day off on short notice.

Hearing that the boy was around, Lin Xiao Feng turned, wanting to head over and look at the boy. However, before he could take another step, Wei Jun Hao tugged at his arm, stopping him.

“Don’t go over!” Wei Jun Hao warned.

Lin Xiao Feng frowned. “Why not?”

“Are you crazy?” Wei Jun Hao looked at his friend in disbelief. “Li Xue is bringing her boyfriend to introduce him to Yu Han for the first time. Do you think that Yu Han would be in a good mood at this time?”

Feng An Yu muttered a cursing word. “Guys, do you think Yu Han would kill us if he knew that we have been introduced to Bai Qi before him?”

Hearing his words made the others pause.

Su Ming Yuan cursed. He looked at his friends and spoke, “Do you think we should escape?”

Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. “I have nothing to do with this.”

The group of adults began to argue about what they should do.

Everyone was worrying about Zhang Yu Han’s reaction. They all knew that Zhang Li Xue was dating someone, but no one had said a word to Zhang Yu Han.

If Zhang Yu Han knew about this, then, they would be in deep trouble.

Zhang Yu Ying was watching everyone discussing this matter in silence. After a while, she stood up and headed to the house. Zhang Li Xue had brought her boyfriend back. As a close family member, how can she not be around to join the fun?

However, before she could make her move, the group of people had already come out of the house.

Liu Hui Lan stood beside Bai Qi as she chatted with him about this and that.

Seeing her daughter standing not too far away, Liu Hui Lan waved her hand to call her over. “Yu Ying, come over. Look who’s here. This young man is Li Xue’s boyfriend. Bai Qi, this is Li Xue’s younger aunt, Zhang Yu Ying.”

Liu Hui Lan was too happy that her granddaughter had brought home a man and had become a little talkative.

Bai Qi flashed a smile and nodded. “Hello, aunt.”

Their small exchange was noticed by the group of adults.

Seeing that everyone was getting together, eating, and drinking, Liu Hui Lan led Bai Qi over, wanting to introduce him to everyone else.

Zhang Yu Ying shifted her gaze to her brother to look at his reaction. The cold look in his eyes was too terrifying.

Zhang Yu Ying had no other choice but to look at her brother. “Brother, what is it?” Her heartbeat accelerated as she waited for him to speak.

“I think I need a drink,” Zhang Yu Han said.

The lively atmosphere in the backyard continued. However, the air was a little different with Bai Qi’s presence.

Bai Qi sat at the chair and watched as Qi Zheng’s daughter, Qi Yue, put a plate of barbecued food on the table.

“Brother, this is for you,” Qi Yue spoke.

“Thank you.” Bai Qi smiled. Seeing that the little girl continued to stare at him made him chuckle.

“Brother, is it true that you are dating Sister Li Xue?”

“Well, it’s true.” Bai Qi nodded.

“Then, Sister Li Xue is your girlfriend?”

Bai Qi glanced at his girlfriend who was sitting beside him. “Well, she is my girlfriend.”

Hearing him say those words in front of the other kids made her embarrassed. Zhang Li Xue’s cheek quickly turned pink.

She lowered her gaze and pulled the plate of food to Bai Qi. “Stop talking. Eat first. You should be hungry.”

Bai Qi laughed. “Alright.”

In the end, it was Qi Ming Wei who snatched the can away from him. “Alright. Stop drinking too much. Didn’t you say that your wife didn’t like you drinking too much?”

Zhang Yu Han was about to grab another can of beer when he heard Qi Ming Wei’s words. Thinking of his wife he decided not to drink too much.

“Yu Han, are you so upset that Li Xue brought home a man?” Lin Xiao Feng asked. “Isn’t this a good thing that Li Xue is dating someone?”

Zhang Yu Han heaved a long sigh. “You don’t understand this feeling. I have been watching Li Xue grow up. And now, some pig is eyeing my baby.”
