299 Was She Crazy?

Zhang Yi Hai was chatting with an acquaintance when he saw his sister and Mu Zhen Yu walking together. Worried, he then went after them. If anything happened to his sister, at least he would be very close to help.

Seeing that the two of them did not go too far from the ballroom made him heave in relief.

His sister definitely knew what she was doing.

“I should go back to find Bai Qi,” Zhang Li Xue said. “Otherwise, he would worry.”

Although she had already texted to tell him that she was going to step away to speak to Mu Zhen Yu, Zhang Li Xue was still worried that her boyfriend would misunderstand.

Zhang Yi Hai nodded. “Sister, you go ahead. I’m going out to take a bit of air.”

Not too far away from him, Mu Zhen Yu was still at the same spot where his sister had left him. The look on his face showed that he was not pleased with how his conversation with his sister had ended.

Zhang Yi Hai narrowed his eyes. He decided to ignore Mu Zhen Yu and walked out of the hotel building.

He nodded at the staff and stood at the stairs.

Staying in the ballroom for hours was indeed a little stifling. The scent of alcohol was too strong for him. He needed to stay out for a while for a bit of fresh air.

Zhang Yi Hai stared into the dark night before noticing a quarreling couple not too far from him. The man seemed to be pulling at the girl’s arms while the girl was punching his chest hard.

He was not a busybody and Zhang Yi Hai had no intention to interfere in the couple’s private business.

His eyes narrowed as he looked at the woman’s silhouette as well as the dress on her body. Then, he seemed to recall that Fang Su Jin was also wearing the same dress. Their hairstyle was also the same.

Zhang Yi Hai walked over to their side and heard Fang Su Jin’s voice, scolding the man.

“Lin Fang, you bastard!” Fang Su Jin continued to hit him on the chest. However, the man held her tightly and refused to let her go. “I told you that I am not interested in you. You better let me go now before I scream.”

Fang Su Jin gritted her teeth. “Wasn’t it because of your mother? If she did not talk to my mother, would I still go out with you?”

It was only because Lin Fang’s mother had come to her that Fang Su Jin decided to accompany him to an engagement party.
