336 What Does it Mean?
Bai Qi spent almost four hours in the operating theatre. When he came out, he was already exhausted from the operation.
After he cleaned up, Bai Qi walked over to the nurse’s station, wanting to check his patient’s condition. He spoke briefly with Nurse Tian before turning to look at the record on the computer.
“Nurse Tian, have you seen it?” A nurse walked over to the nurse’s station and whispered to Nurse Tian.
Nurse Tian raised her head to look at the young nurse beside her. “Ah Li, what are you talking about?”
“It was all over the news,” Ah Li said. “A few hours ago, there was an earthquake in H City. Who knew that the earthquake would be so bad? I heard that a few buildings collapsed. The scene looked quite bad.”
Nurse Tian looked at the young nurse in shock. “Really?” She took out her phone, wanting to check on the news as well.”
“What are you talking about?”
Nurse Tian raised her head and saw that Bai Qi was looking at her anxiously.

Nurse Tian stood between Bai Qi and the young nurse. “Doctor Bai, it’s nothing. Ah Li was just telling me about an accident in H City.”

His heart was beating furiously.
His hand trembled as he held his phone. Bai Qi dialed Zhang Li Xue’s number and prayed that she will answer soon. However, his heart turned colder when he could not reach for her.
Bai Qi tried again and again. Each time, he would only get disappointed.
He can’t reach his girlfriend and he did not know what he should do!
Bai Qi inhaled a deep breath. After a while, he decided to call her father’s number.
Hearing the tone made him feel more at ease. Soon, someone picked up the phone. “Hello? Bai Qi?”
Bai Qi closed his eyes and inhaled. “Uncle, I heard about the earthquake. Are you and Li Xue-”
“Li Xue is still trapped,” Zhang Yu Han’s voice was a little hoarse. “I don’t know where is she or how she is doing now. The rescue team is doing all they can to find her.”
A lot of people have been calling him for the past few hours.
