356 A Change of Plan

Bai Qi stared at his phone and the corner of his lips tilted up a little bit. In an hour or so, his little fairy was going to show up at the park.

Thinking of what he was going to do next made him anxious a little bit.

He wondered just how his little fairy was going to react.

Subconsciously, Bai Qi raised his hand to touch his jacket pocket. When he felt the box was still inside, Bai Qi heaved a breath of relief.

But a while later, Bai Qi began to worry again.

There was also the possibility that Zhang Li Xue might reject his proposal.

If that happens, then what was he supposed to do?

He would be disappointed, but he still did not want to give up on Zhang Li Xue. He loved her very much and could not imagine just how his life would be if he did not have her around.

Bai Qi closed his eyes and inhaled a deep breath. He told himself that he should not be thinking too much. The most important thing was that he had worked hard to win her heart.

The ring from his phone snapped him out of his trance. Bai Qi answered his phone and found out that the preparation was all ready. He double-checked everything before finally texting Zhang Yi Hai.

“Yi Hai, why do you keep on looking at your phone?” Zhang Li Xue asked. A mischievous smile curled on her lips. “Could it be that you have a girlfriend now?”

“Don’t talk nonsense.” Zhang Yi Hai heaved a long sigh. “Sister, just go ahead and eat your chicken wings.”

His phone chimed again. Zhang Yi Hai heaved a breath in relief when he received the message from Bai Qi. While his sister lowered her gaze to eat her food, Zhang Yi Hai glanced at Fang Su Jin to signal her to get ready.

Zhang Yi Hai wanted to arrive at the park earlier as he was a little worried about the weather.

He watched as his sister finished her food and called the server to pay their bills.

However, he soon noticed that there were a few items in the bills that were not on their table. Just as he was about to inquire about it, his sister had already given him the answer.

“Those are for Bai Qi.” Zhang Li Xue smiled. “Aren’t we going over to the hospital next? It’s lunch hour. I think Bai Qi should have not eaten his lunch yet.”

Earlier that day, Zhang Li Xue had texted Doctor Bai and found out that the man was supposed to be busy for the whole day.

Even though Bai Qi had not told her what he was going to be busy with, Zhang Li Xue guessed that her boyfriend should be busy with his work.

Usually, whenever he had an important surgery, Bai Qi would not have the time to eat at the cafeteria. Her Doctor Bai should be happy when she showed up with food, right?

Meanwhile, a helpless smile curled on Zhang Yi Hai’s lips. If only his sister knew that the person she was worried about was not at the hospital...

Zhang Yi Hai decided not to speak about this.

After paying the bills, Zhang Yi Hai helped his sister out of the restaurant before he went to get the car.

Zhang Yi Hai did not forget to text Bai Qi that they were heading over to the park. Then, he drove the car and stopped in front of the restaurant’s entrance to help his sister into the car.

“Yi Hai, I think, this is good too,” Zhang Li Xue spoke as her brother carried her into the car. “I don’t have to move around. You can carry me wherever I wanted to go.”

Although moving around was a little troublesome with her leg, Zhang Li Xue do enjoy the service where her brother would carry her from place to place.

Zhang Yi Hai chuckled upon hearing his sister’s words. “Forget it. I don’t want to. Sister, it’s better if you ask Brother Bai Qi to carry you instead.”

Suddenly, Zhang Li Xue’s face turned a little pink.

She did not think that her little brother would dare to tease her by using Bai Qi’s name.

As her brother started to drive, Zhang Li Xue took out her mirror and began to touch up her face a little bit. Her face was full of smiles and it could be seen that she was in a good mood.

However, just as she put down her powder, Zhang Li Xue began to realize that something was a little strange.

She looked out the window and realized that her brother was not driving toward the hospital. Instead, they were heading in the opposite direction.’

“Where are we going?” Zhang Li Xue looked at the tall building outside with worry. “Didn’t you say that we’re going to the hospital?”

Zhang Yi Hai glanced at the rear mirror and saw the panicked look on his sister’s face. “Mmm... There has been a change of plan.”

“What do you mean?” Zhang Li Xue narrowed her eyes.

She was so looking forward to visiting her boyfriend at work. But now, her brother was telling her that he was changing the plan.

Zhang Li Xue had the urge to beat this brother.

“I just saw that the weather looks good,” Zhang Yi Hai spoke. “Sister, let’s go and walk at the park.”

Zhang Li Xue stared at her brother in disbelief.

At this time, she was not in the mood to walk in the park!

Fang Su Jin watched the siblings and began to laugh. She had a feeling that the situation would turn worse if she did not interfere. Zhang Yi Hai might ruin Bai Qi’s surprise if he was to handle this on his own.

“Alright. Li Xue, let’s just walk around the park a little bit,” Fang Su Jin tried to coax her friend. “I ate so much earlier. It’s better to walk a little bit to digest some food.”

Zhang Li Xue was still angry, but for the sake of her friend, she decided to suppress her anger.

Soon, they reached the park. Zhang Yi Hai helped her sister out of the vehicle and pushed her around the park. The days were getting colder, but the flowers were blooming beautifully all around.

What Zhang Li Xue did not notice was that the person who was pushing her wheelchair had changed in the middle of their walk.
