Now that his bride was in front of him, Bai Qi was finally able to see the details of her dress. The soft, layered skirt and the small flowers scattered along her dress.

Then, he also realized that this dress was the same as she wore earlier that day, but also a little different.

The moment he reached her side, his fairy was looking at him shyly. Bai Qi could feel his heart beating hard against his ribcage.

“I will hand my daughter to you,” Zhang Yi Hai said. He held Bai Qi’s hand and placed his daughter’s hand into Bai Qi’s. “Bai Qi, from now on, you have to look after Li Xue and protect her.”

The moment Zhang Li Xue’s hand was in his, Bai Qi could feel a jolt. This was not the first time he had held his wife’s hand. Surprisingly, he would still feel this way.

Bai Qi had a serious look on his face. “Dad, I know. I will protect Li Xue all my life.”

It was only after his father-in-law smiled and turned around did Bai Qi finally felt a little at ease. He held his bride’s hand tight and led her to the altar.

When he recalled her long skirt, Bai Qi became more cautious as he led Zhang Li Xue up the stairs.

Of course, Zhang Li Xue’s uncles saw this and were satisfied that their niece was married to someone who know how to look after her.

The bride and groom stood at the front. Bai Qi was staring at Zhang Li Xue, unable to look away from his beautiful bride while Zhang Li Xue had a shy smile on her face.

The scene was too beautiful that the photographer became excited to snap a lot of photos.

Then, the wedding officiant started to speak and the hall became quiet.

The wedding officiant gave a brief speech about the bride and groom’s love story. Then, he looked up to the audience and spoke. “We are gathered together here to join Bai Qi and Zhang Li Xue in the union of marriage. The bride and groom have each prepared vows that they will read now.”

Someone walked to Bai Qi and helped to hold the microphone for him while he took out the paper that he had prepared a few days ago. It seemed that there were so many things that he wanted to tell her, but the moment he looked at the beautiful fairy again, Bai Qi seemed to have forgotten everything.

Finally, he took a deep breath and finally read the speech he had prepared for her. After a while, he folded the paper again and looked at her intensely. “Zhang Li Xue, I cannot believe that I am the lucky man who gets to marry you today. Out of all the people in this world, I would find someone as special as you.”

Bai Qi swallowed as he watched Zhang Li Xue wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes.

“I promise to love you, faithfully without reservation. Comfort you in times of sorrow and distress. Laugh with you and cry with you. I will cherish you for as long as we both shall live.” He flashed her a shaky smile. “Zhang Li Xue, I promise to fall in love with you every single day.”

There was a pause as Fang Su Jin walked over to Zhang Li Xue’s side to hand her the tissue paper that she had prepared for an occasion like this.

Seeing that Zhang Li Xue had calmed down, the microphone was shifted to her side.

Fang Su Jin helped to hand over the vow that Zhang Li Xue had prepared.

With a bright smile on her face, Zhang Li Xue began her speech, mentioning briefly their childhood, their separation as well as meeting him again.

Then, she looked up at him again and continued, “Bai Qi, you are the person that I want to spend forever with. I promise to love you faithfully, and unconditionally, through difficult and easy times. And I vow to support you, inspire you, and always be by your side. I promise to never lose our spark and to love you for as long as I live.”

There was a brief silence as the officiant was looking at them both.

The officiant looked at the crowd before turning to the bride and groom again. “And now, Bai Qi, do you take Zhang Li Xue to be your wife? To love, honor, cherish and protect her, and hold onto her forever? To always love her for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer for as long as you both shall live.”

Bai Qi looked into his bride’s eyes and spoke, “I do.”

Then the officiant turned to the bride and spoke, “And Miss Zhang Li Xue, do you take Bai Qi to be your wife? To love, honor, cherish and protect her, and hold onto her forever? To always love her for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer for as long as you both shall live.”

Zhang Li Xue smiled. “I do.”

Fang Su Jin and Zhang Yi Hai both stepped forward to let the bride and groom exchange their ring.

Then, the officiant gave a little speech to the bride and groom before finally looking at the audience again. “By the power vested in me, it is my honor to declare you husband and wife.” A teasing smile curled on his lips. “You may kiss each other and seal this declaration.”

Bai Qi moved closer to his bride. He placed a hand on her waist and tilted his head slightly to kiss her lips that has been enchanting him from the moment he saw her today.

Then, the hall was filled with the crowd’s cheering.
