Kate's facial expression quickly saddened when she heard him talking about leaving the second time.
She wished that she had merely misheard him, but the truth was too much for her to handle.
In her mind, Lei Zhen was like the shining pillar of support, assisting her whenever she needed it. And now that so-called pillar of support seemed to be demolishing in front of her very own eyes.
"C-Can't you just stay?" Kate asked desperately.
"If you need anything, then just tell me. I'll make sure to satisfy your request." She added.
Meanwhile, Lei Zhen almost choked when he heard her words since she made it look like he was asking for her to do naughty stuff with him.
Who would even word their sentence like that?
And when Kate saw Lei Zhen's body trembling for a moment, she came to realize what she had just spoken aloud.
Her face instantly turned red from embarrassment.
"I-I didn't mean it like that… but if it's you-"
"Ahem, let's not talk about this topic for now. Marquess Randal has arrived." Lei Zhen quickly faked a cough and said, secretly thanking Randal for his timely arrival.
Otherwise, he feared that things would become overly awkward if they continued the conversation.
Kate could only smile bitterly at this fact and agreed to his suggestion. Marquess Randal's issue is the first priority, so she dared not neglect this part.
Putting on a stern expression, Kate sat patiently on the throne, awaiting for Marquess Randal to slowly come forward.
Sometime later, Marquess Randal entered as he went on one of his knees, greeting her respectfully.
"Greetings to Princess Kate. Is there something that you wish to ask me?" Marquess Randal said, acting ignorant.
There was no way he would straight up confess without gambling a bit.
"Sigh, do you still wish to play the ignorant card, Marquess Randal?" Kate made a soft sigh and said emotionlessly.
"I'm sure you have met with George outside already, so he should have given you a warning. I'll give you one more chance to say it again." She added.
Hearing that from Princess Kate, Randal knew everything was over and there was no point in hiding anymore.

Of course, what he said was just a bluff since he wouldn't implicate the innocent of their wrongdoings.
However, that was not needed to explain to Randal, who truly believed Lei Zhen would throw his wife and daughter to the slum or brothel, allowing the disgusting scums to violate his beloved as they pleased.
Without any other threats, Marquess Randal banged his head and pleaded for mercy.
"Spare my wife and daughter. I'll reveal everything without hiding anything." Marquess Randal said, his tone sounding like a desperate man, clinging onto a rope as he hung around the cliff.
"Then make sure to reveal every single bit. I'm not Princess Kate, so I won't be polite as her nor gentle as her." Lei Zhen warned sternly.
Marquess Randal nodded his head as he opened his mouth to explain everything, from start to finish.
After a long-winded explanation, Lei Zhen came to realize that the research the black mage was working on was for the improvement of their ability.
In other words, it was for the ascension rank of tier 3, something that is still not available in Magnolia considering only tier 2 had been updated live.
'No wonder why the two elder princes went crazy.' Lei Zhen thought to himself. The allure of ascending to tier 3 was too much to let go of, especially when they are power-hungry people.
And if a tier 3 strong person were to appear in Magnolia, then it means a big update was about to commence. Or maybe, it was already in the progress of revealing tier 3.
"That's all I know, Princess Kate, Chancellor." Marquess Randal said, his forehead still kissing the carpet.
"Give me a list of the nobles that collaborated with you and I shall make your sentence lenient," Kate said expressionlessly.
As much as she hated Marquess Randal and the rest of the nobles for coercing her elder brothers to commit treason, she needed to take the big picture in mind.
Lei Zhen had instructed her to never use her personal feelings or emotions to do things when dealing with large-scale events that could affect the whole of Yors Castle.
Thus, the only logical option to do was to let Marquess Randal gain a chance of redemption as the bait to capture all the rotten fish living in Yors Castle.
Only then could she relax and get rid of the parasite harming her country.
"O-Of course, Princess Kate." Marquess Randal wasn't dumb to not see he was being forgiven so long as he cooperated with Kate.

Sometime later, Marquess Randal gave the list to Howard, who passed it to Lei Zhen for inspection.
And to his surprise, Lei Zhen was shocked to see the name Robert Knightman listed on the paper.
