Lei Zhen was leisurely sitting at a chair in the Steering Room when Howard and the other crewmen promptly returned to Caprice, the ship.
There were about four people that they had rescued with only one of them being an old man. The other three people were young men and seemed to have just got their life started.
As for the other items that were destroyed in the shipwreck, Lei Zhen is a kind gentleman and magnanimous person.
He had already ordered Howard to secretly retrieve them all and stashed them into his inventory, leaving nothing behind.
'Consider that as payment for saving your life.' Lei Zhen thought to himself, feeling zero remorse about snatching their fortunes.
The reality was harsh and he can't be an unrealistic and idealist hero in such a cruel world.
"Anyway, what's with their condition, Howard?" Lei Zhen was now at the ship deck and asked when he saw these four people were unconscious.
"They got frostbite I believe, Chancellor. The sea water is cold and they have probably been drowned inside for quite a while. The only one that is still in decent condition was this old man." Howard reported, pointing at the old man by the left side.
"Hmm, you're right. His facial complexion is indeed much better than the other three men."
"That's probably because of his mana and his strong body built to resist the cold. Though thanks to this old man, I can estimate that they were stranded for more than 4 hours already."
"4 hours??!" Lei Zhen was literally astonished that these four managed to survive in the cold seawater for such a long time.
It somehow made him recall one famous sinking ship movie where the main character legit just died from a few minutes of drowning.
'Unbelievable… the power of magic is immaculate.' Lei Zhen thought to himself.
Shaking his head since only in this video game could people actually survive in the cold seawater for 4 hours, Lei Zhen quickly returned his senses to reality.
"Howard, bring them all to a room and make the temperature a bit high for them to loosen the frostbite. Also, have the chef begin cooking some warm and cozy chicken soup for everyone else to drink. Although you all didn't get into the water much, it's still better to drink something warm." He then ordered.
Howard nodded his head and soon began to have Emmanuel and the other crewmen help him out.
As for Candice, she decided to head toward the kitchen area to relay Lei Zhen's order. Since Howard would be busy setting everything else up, she didn't want to feel like a burden on this ship alone.
Lei Zhen also noticed Candice was trying to prove her worth, so he didn't try to stop her. It was a good thing for people to strive to improve themselves.
"I'm going to take a rest now and have the ship maintained here for a while." Lei Zhen said calmly, returning to his personal room.
Given the ship wreckage ahead of them, Lei Zhen would still need the crewmen to mobilize the mini lifeboat to clear the obstacles for the path ahead.
And that would take a lot of time considering the workload they currently have.
Thus, Lei Zhen thought this would be a nice opportunity to log out and gather information regarding the Athea country.
This was the benefit of joining a game late since most basic information would be readily made available online. Only the secretive information would be concealed by the players since greed is a natural trait in human blood.
Once he entered his personal room, Lei Zhen swiftly logged out of the game and opened his phone, browsing through the internet.
Soon, information regarding Athea's country was revealed one by one to him.

Even the tyrannical countries that are power-hungry had to rethink twice before trying to invade Athea.
On the left of Athea county, it was surrounded by mountainous terrain, and on the top of the country, it was surrounded by an amazon forest-like environment.
To further add, the bottom and right side of the country was surrounded by oceans, and Athea had one of the most advanced naval militaries.
It was practically impossible to think of trying to invade Athea in the first place when nature was blessing the country's environment itself.
"This is weird then. If Athea had such advanced naval militaries, then how was it possible that they encountered a shipwreck?" Lei Zhen muttered softly, scrolling through his phone more to look up for information.
He continued to spend the next few hours researching the possible clause, only to no avail.
"I swear, all these information hoarders need to die one day. No, I'm going to make sure to feed them false information and let them suffer in hell." He clicked his tongue in annoyance, feeling like he had wasted his time for no reason.
Just when he was about to shut his phone down to continue back on Magnolia, a notification popped up, and the annoyance within him vanished into thin air.
His face slowly formed a creepy smile as he giggled softly. The notification was about the money he had earned from their Zero Fear debut.
In total, thanks to Jack Frigel's article, the video exploded in popularity, resulting in him earning over $5000 this month alone. The $5000 was the after-tax payment which was even more fabulous.
"Oh, why didn't I upload more videos? This is too good." Lei Zhen felt a gush of euphoria rushing through his blood. Of course, it was just a metaphor, and he wasn't really horny or anything.
'Phew, let's come back to reality and split this money. One for Tie Longkun and one for Griselda even though she doesn't really need it.' He thought, calculating the math in his mind.
