Chapter 215 Sahara Exodus

With Candice making up the decision for them, Lei Zhen and her had joined the team of Jessica.

"Right, what is your level, sir?" Jessica asked politely, referring to him as sir mainly because Lei Zhen had not given his name yet.

So far, only Candice had introduced herself without an ounce of caution in her personality.

"Just call me Zhen." Lei Zhen told them. Just this name alone was not enough to link it to his identity.

Not to mention, he didn't think they were someone who purposely came to spy on him after he finished checking their details.

Quests and missions could not be shared with others, but they can definitely be revealed to others to see.

Thus, Lei Zhen made sure to check whether they were lying about their quest or were truly trying to do it under a time limit.

And the result?

They had less than 2 hours to complete the quest before the system automatically failed them.

Seeing that the details matched up with their information, Lei Zhen finally lowered his guard slightly and agreed to work with them.

"So where is this Sahara Exodus dungeon located?" Lei Zhen asked. He only knew the name of the dungeon that they were about to enter, but not the location of it.

"Ah, it's located right at the edge of the inner region of Wasteland Field," Jessica explained and provided more details of the location.

"So it seems like we have around 20 minutes or so to reach that location, right?"

"That would indeed be so unless we are held back by more monsters on the way."

"Okay then, during this time, I'll have Candice assist the two of you to deal with the monsters while I do some studying." Lei Zhen calmly said and assigned Candice to be his bodyguard.

Jessica and Bella didn't disagree with this method since they had seen Candice's skills previously. It was also the reason why they were eager to have them join their party.

And with that said and done, the four of them began heading their way toward the Sahara Exodus. Along the way, numerous Scorpades and other monsters that inhabit the Wasteland Field appeared one by one to be killed by Candice, Jessica, and Bella respectively.

As for Lei Zhen, he was texting Tang Qiaolian in the game to enquire about information regarding the Sahara Exodus.

Going to a dungeon with zero knowledge and information beforehand was idiotic, so he wished to gain as much knowledge as possible. That way, when they officially entered the dungeon, they would not react like some clueless lamb, waiting to be slaughtered.

Although Tang Qiaolian regretfully told him that she had never been to the Sahara Exodus before, she had managed to contact a few of her members that had attempted the dungeon in the past.

Apparently, the size of the dungeon was medium in terms of Magnolia with the layout in a rectangle form. The room layout was scattered across with the door being quite standard to the next level.

The corridors are errant and would occasionally have some deadends meant to stall the players.

In addition to that, the Sahara Exodus was a multi-layered dungeon which means there are numerous staircases that lead to a different end.

The monsters residing in the Sahara Exodus were also tricky to deal with despite averaging levels around 60 to 65. The reason for that was their ability to camouflage and appear out of nowhere to commence a sneak attack.

Lei Zhen was brooding over the difficulty of the dungeon before giving his thanks to Tang Qiaolian for her timely information.

Though one thing that was still bothering him was the fact that she seemed to be always online despite working as a nurse.

Were nurses always this free nowadays?

'Sigh, I shouldn't question her working hours when I'm still a part-time worker.' Lei Zhen thought to himself.

Sometime later, they finally arrived at the entrance of the Sahara Exodus and they realized other players were also camping by the entrance, seemingly waiting for people to attempt the dungeon.

pαndα`noνɐ1--сoМ "Should I go and invite some more people?" Jessica asked the group. It was clear that she wasn't the confident type and thought the more the merrier.

Meanwhile, Bella was the silent type as she rarely talked much and simply followed Jessica's instructions. She didn't give her opinion and merely turned her attention to Lei Zhen.

Although they knew Candice was probably the most powerful person in their group, they also knew Lei Zhen was her boss and that she would only listen to his commands.

The previous moment where Candice made the decision was an exception and they could see that Candice was worried about angering Lei Zhen for her decision.

Lei Zhen pondered for a moment and glanced at the camping players by the entrance. Their gears and equipment were quite new, almost as if they had just purchased them.

After a few seconds, Lei Zhen shook his head and said, "Having more players to assist us would naturally be great, but it would be difficult to gauge their character and personality. Just look at the previous three men that you tried to party up with before."

"Hmm, you're right about that. Maybe I'm just too anxious about failing my quest and restarting from zero." Jessica lowered her head slightly.

"Rest assured, if I agree to party up with you, then we'll most likely succeed within the time frame. I'm not the type to do something without a certain success and plan in my mind." Lei Zhen calmly said.

"Mhmm, my Master is too calculated of a person and would never take a loss. Those who tried to deceive and scheme against the Master had all failed miserably." Candice nodded her head repeatedly, almost as if she was proud to tell them about Lei Zhen's conduct.

Of course, Jessica and Bella didn't doubt her words one bit when they recalled the three men that had bad talk against Lei Zhen and attacked him, ending up having a death-timer cooldown and loss of their precious equipment.
