Chapter 48 48 Dungeon Of The Ice Elemental 2

*Crack! Crack! Crack!*

The ice began to make weird cracking sounds and all the players immediately stood still, crack lines appeared on the ice, and immediately the whole room was covered in cracks.

"I don't think the ice would hold" a player screamed.

"Everyone stay perfectly still" Alex shouted, he was still on the ground with his back again the icy walls.

He was just two steps away from the second path deeper inside the dungeon and the path wasn't made of ice so if the players were to get on the path they would be safe, all the players stood still without making a single move.

Alex stood up slowly and took a step, the Ice had stopped cracking but it was still not safe, the players watched as Alex took 2 more steps and reached the concrete ground.

"Guys we'll move one at a time, starting from you" Alex pointed to a girl close to him.

The girl was part of the ranged class so she didn't go for the weapons instead she was admiring the icy walls so she was fairly close to Alex.

Slowly the girl walked towards Alex one at a time and she also reached the path safely, before Alex could point to the next person Yeti shouted.

"I'm next..."

Yeti didn't wait for anyone's confirmation and he immediately began to walk towards the path, after a few seconds he was the third person that crossed.

As soon as Yeti crossed two players immediately started to walk over, they couldn't wait and when the other players saw them everyone began to rush toward the path.



"Get out of my way" a player shouted and pushed one of the healers out of his way and she fell on the ice.

*Crack!!*

Immediately she fell on the ice, the ice broke and she fell downwards, the crack on the ice began to extend towards the whole room and instead of the player stopping, in panic all of them ran towards the other path.

'That's it for half of the team' Alex mumbled as he moved backward.

Players who were close to the path dashed towards the path, while players who were far away did all they can to avoid the fall but it was all for nothing.

The path back was already gone and all the ice along with players had fallen into an endless void, the players could hear screams but after a while, the screams died down meaning they were all dead.

'If I was one of the knights, I would have run to pick a weapon and also get caught up in this' Alex scoffed.

"This is all your fault..." one of the players shouted at Yeti.

"How is this my fault, it's the fault of the person who shot the gun, who was that" Yeti shouted trying to turn the tides.

All the players looked around but no one dare raise their hands, with the situation as it is the person responsible might be killed by all the angry players.

PvP was disabled but a huge hole was now on the ground, if a player is thrown in death is guaranteed.

"The player probably died, but if we followed that guy's plan we would have succeeded" the player shouted at Yeti.

"What guy's plan...who are you talking about" Yeti shouted in anger.

"Fighting and trying to throw each other to their death wouldn't solve anything, if we don't keep moving all of us would eventually die, and most players here are still in level 4, you don't need me to tell you what that means" Alex shouted.

"For now we should regroup, how many of us are left, how do we battle, and this has shown us that they would be more traps in the dungeon so we should be careful," Alex said.

All the players nodded their heads in response, Yeti was fuming in anger but ultimately there was nothing he could do.

"53...54...55...56, we are currently 56 in total, that means we lost 44 players to a trap" a player shouted.





"56... that's still a good number hoping we don't lose anymore, that's why we need to stay together and be extremely careful," Alex said.

"We should keep moving," a player said and all of them began to move forward, Alex was in front along with others while Yeti was at the back fuming in anger.

'This is going exactly as planned, all the players now see me like some kind of tactical master who has their backs. When we are facing the boss I would use them to my advantage' Alex flash a sly smile as he walked forward.

'This is a game, not real life, if they die when facing the boss, as long as I survive I don't mind...I wore a mask for that same reason'

After some minutes even Alex started to doubt if they were really in the mountains, the distance they had covered was too long except they were walking in circles, but it was just a straight path.

"More light up ahead," Alex shouted and the players moods were lifted but their jaws dropped when they entered the room.

The room was similar to the last as everywhere was covered in ice but this room was different, there were more than 8 different paths that led to different locations.

A huge chandelier made of ice was hanging in the ceiling and Alex was staring at it in surprise, it felt like the room was decorated by someone.

"10 in total, which one do we choose?" the players mumbled to themselves.

'This is an attempt to separate us...what is the creator thinking by making the dungeon as difficult as this and still calling it a low-level dungeon' Alex mumbled angrily.

"We should pick any path and check it out," a girl said.

Cold breeze whizzed through the room, all the players quickly turned towards a certain path, all the cold was coming from one path.

Sounds of ice cracking echoed from the path and all the players quickly held their weapons tightly and prepared for battle.
