"Huh!!!" Alex's mouth opened wide as he saw the notification.
'Blood absorbed 69%!! but the last time I saw this it was 3%' Alex mumbled as a strange light enveloped him.
"Haaa..." Alex shouted as he appeared inside a room and a hand was in his shoulder.
"Congratulations..." a figure spoke behind Alex.
Alex turned around and let out a sigh, he thought he had been washed up somewhere but he was inside a room with other players.
The room was the same as the one they were in but this time all the chairs were flat without numbers on them, crystals glowed on the walls giving light to the place, and healers in white clothing stood around healing the players.
"Did I pass?" Alex asked the girl that held his shoulder.
"Yes, why else would you be here, sit down I can treat your injuries" the girl said.
"No need, I'm fine...but I only defeated 1 beast or is the beast that powerful" Alex chuckled.
"An evolved horned wolf is an advanced tier beast, though it's the lowest advanced tier beast you defeated it without losing any of your limbs so that's pretty amazing" the girl spoke.
"Thanks" Alex said as he sat down.
'That's right, the system gave me a quest to kill 5 horned wolves and I ended up killing one evolved horned wolf and I was still granted the reward along with an achievement' Alex smiled.
The girl went behind Alex and held his shoulder again, "What are you doing?" Alex asked.
"Just stay still, this would only take a moment" the girl spoke as she began to whisper some words.
Alex felt his body getting lighter, his tensed muscles from all the fighting relaxed and he let out a sigh of relief.
"So how do you feel?" the girl asked with a smile.
"Better... thanks"
"Okay... it seems another player had passed" the girl mumbled as she walked away.
'Time to evaluate my situation... first the voice in my head, can you hear me?' Alex asked inwardly.
After waiting for some minutes without hearing an answer Alex knew he wasn't going to hear anything.
'Okay...let's leave the voice aside for now, my demon blade is now at 69%, so it was draining blood from the wolf while we battled...wait was the blade the reason the wolf couldn't move at the end'
'Now that I think about it that makes sense, the wolf blood was been absorbed, and after losing blood it began to feel dizzy and only two stabs were enough to kill it'
'The wolf's HP was 400 and my first attack decreased 55HP meaning it had 354HP left, my second attack only decreased 75HP, so what happened to the rest of the 270HP '
'If that's the case then this demon blade is a good weapon for fighting large beasts, just stick it in and wait for a while' Alex chuckled.
'My cloak is ruined, I'll have to make up for my stealth, oh I have shadow camouflage now, I almost forgot'
Alex looked around the room and the players that survived were still more than 100 and more are still incoming, now that the large wolf was dead, all the remaining players launched a full assault on the remaining beasts.
Most of the players coming in were injured as more beasts were released in the arena, half of the players had their level increased and in the second stage after making all ten kills.
"Hey that's the guy who was fighting the wolf, so he survived?"
"Wow, he's pretty impressive, we should stay away from him in the second round he seems dangerous"
"Or we should work together to kill him, imagine the amount of XP and loot he would have in his inventory, we'll split it evenly"
"Ohhh a good plan, count me in" two players smiled as they spoke to themselves.
The blond man who came in to explain the rules to them earlier stepped inside the room where the players were.
"The first stage is cleared" the blond man spoke and immediately all the players faced towards him.
"Wait... I'm the last on here and when I left the arena four males and two females were still fighting, what about them?"
"They are dead, the mages are cleaning the arena now so get ready for the second round" the blond said as he yawned weakly.
"Last time you said five more people are joining us, are they here yet?" a player asked.
"Unfortunately only one of them could make it, he'll be here before the second round start, and before I go I'll explain the third round"
"The third round is quite simple, only twenty people are going to pass so when the second round is done, those twenty people would choose their opponent and fight in a duel, one on one" the man continued.
"So we'll fight one on one in the arena, and we are going to choose our opponent?"
"Yes, each of the players would choose their opponent, you have the right to refuse if you aren't interested in fighting the person who chose you," the man explained.
"If you guys end up refusing to choose each other, opponents would be decided randomly, I'll explain better after the second round, get ready" the man said as he turned around.
"Excuse me" Alex shouted and everyone looked in his direction.
"I need new daggers, the ones I had broke after I killed that evolved wolf, now that we can kill each other, I'll need new ones" Alex said, his face was still covered with his mask so they couldn't see his expression but underneath he was smiling.
His plan was to announce to the players that he defeated the wolf they were all scared of so none of the players would think of attacking him and it worked perfectly.
"Okay, we'll bring in new daggers for you, any one else? Then I'm leaving" the man opened the door and stepped outside.
Mumbling sounds filled the room as the players spoke about avoiding Alex, some even thought of banding together to kill him but the thought was quickly dismissed.

"Did you watch the battle?" the blond man asked a figure standing in front of him.
"Yes, that guy was pretty amazing don't you think" the figure spoke.
"Yes, and that's why you are here, most of the VIP placed huge amounts of money on him after seeing the first round, honestly I didn't think he would stand out but he did" the blond man said.
"So you want me to do the usual?" the figure asked.
"Yes, the ruler doesn't like losing money so all you have to do is kill him in the second round, but if he proves too much for you, then wait till the third round where you'll duel one on one"
"If he proves too much!! you really think I can't handle him, I've won first place for four years in a row" the figure said.
"And you have been rewarded, also the mages did well in changing your appearance this time, you look like a scared little boy"
"Yes they did well..." the figure said as he walked away.

Alex smiled as he received both of the weapon, both of them went straight to him inventory as he received them, he didn't need both of them since he had his demon blade but he still asked for two.
The door opened and he blond man stepped in, this time he came with a young boy who had a smile on his face.
"This is the player joining you this second round" the man said.
"Hi..." the boy spoke but non of the players paid any attention to him and immediately faced their businesses, most of them were planning for the second round in teams.
Another door opened again behind the players, a magic door on the wall which would take them straight to the arena.
"The second stage is starting now" a girl shouted and the players turned to look at her, close to her a door was opened and the battlefield of the arena could be seen.
'The second round...' Alex mumbled as he stood up.
