Alex took a deep breath and raised both of his fists, if weapons weren't going to work on him then he was going to use his fists.
"Barehanded, talk about reckless confidence but don't worry, I'll make your death quick and painless" Zen shouted as he dashed toward Alex.
"I can't block without a weapon, then I have to dodge all his attacks" Alex mouthed as Zen dashed towards him.
Because of his frenzy state his focus was top-notch as he watched all of Zen's movements, Zen swooped in and immediately launch one of his swords forward but that was a distraction.
Alex jumped backward so he could avoid the attack but as soon as he did Zen took a step forward and thrust his second sword forward with great speed and accuracy.
"Shit I can't dodge that"
Alex knew he wasn't able to dodge the attack but he could avoid a fatal hit, he sidestepped to the left and used his hands to hit the sword changing its direction.

Blood spilled on the ground and Alex quickly jumped backward and held his stomach, he groaned in pain but after a few seconds, the pain disappeared.
Alex was able to avoid a critical hit but the sword still grazed his stomach and left a large mark, the mark was going to disappear but slowly his HP was depleting, he had now lost 60HP and hadn't dealt a single damage to Zen.
"I told you barehanded was reckless, I was going to end it with that attack but I must say you are quite quick on your feet" Zen spoke as his face curved into a smile.
Alex was breathing heavily as he gritted his teeth, when he entered the frenzy state, he felt like he was falling unconscious but after the first attack from Zen, he regained control of his body.
And even after regaining control he still couldn't do a thing, after all the training he did with the ice golem, he was sure he could fight better but he was just under the illusion that more training equals more strength.
In front of a mighty foe the weak had no choice but to wish for more strength and in this battle Alex was the weak one, there was nothing he could do against Zen currently, but all he had to do was upgrade.

Alex raised his fists once again but this time he had a different look on his face, this time he was going to defeat Zen no matter what.

With explosive agility Zen burst forth brandishing both of his swords in one direction, he was going for the kill once and for all.
'Shit I can't jump backward, and jumping sideways won't get me out of danger, I don't have time to think'
Alex jumped sideways but he still couldn't avoid Zen as both of his swords slashed through. Zen stopped quite some distance away from Alex and he was sure he heard a clang.
Immediately Zen turned around and could see Alex standing up from the ground, Zen knew his accuracy was top notch and he definitely aimed for Alex's neck and Alex wasn't fast enough to dodge it because of his explosive agility the what happened.
'Fuck I barely got out of that one, my brain is working at full capacity' Alex mumbled inwardly.
Both of Alex's daggers were gone when Zen kicked him but he had three daggers and the last one was sitting in his inventory doing nothing, when Zen dashed forward Alex jumped sideways and at that moment he took his dagger out.
Both of Zen's swords were aiming for his neck so they were really close to each other, so close that a short steel dagger was able to deflect the attack, instead of slashing Alex's head the force of both weapon collision pushed him backwards without even laying a scratch.
Zen stood there breathing heavily, he clearly used up a lot of his stamina to pull an amazing attack like that one, and now he was getting tired.
"It seems your speed has reached its endpoint, you wanted to finish me with that attack because you knew if the battle dragged on you would be at disadvantage" Alex spoke as he walked forward.
Before standing up from the ground, Alex returned his dagger back into his inventory so Zen had no idea what Alex did to dodge or block his attack.
"You really piss me off, I'm going to crush you completely" Zen shouted.
"Really, wasn't that last attack your attempt to crush me, with the way you are breathing I'm not sure you can repeat what you did" Alex smirked with his eyes gleaming.
"You bastard, I'm going to show you what true power is" Zen shouted as he dropped one of his swords to the ground and took a different stance, and breathe in.
'I was going to keep talking till he gets angry and makes a mistake but now he's doing something else, I have to prepare' Alex muttered.
If Zen was going to use an explosive rush again he was ready this time, he was ready for anything.
[Mystic Sword Art, Power Slash]
Zen mouthed and dashed forward with only one sword in his hands, Alex was expecting his explosive speed but he was running normally.
"I'm sure I heard a clang, all I have to do is attack continuously till he reveals where he hid his dagger, then my sword art would take care of the rest"
Zen moved at an amazing speed but Alex could keep up, now that he was using a single sword Alex was sure he would be able to dodge his attacks.
Zen finally reached Alex but he was already prepared, Alex easily dodged Zen's first swing and had an opening to attack but he didn't take it, he knew attacking Zen was useless.
After the flashy stance Zen took, Alex was on his toes waiting for Zen to do something amazing but nothing had happened since, and for some reason, Zen was getting slower and leaving more openings for Alex to attack him.
Zen thrust his sword forward but Alex jumped backward twice to create enough space between them, as he did Zen didn't charge forward instead he stood there breathing heavily and sweating.
"He's really getting slower, but I have to figure out a way to penetrate his body...wait...is he really getting tired or just faking it, he took a stance back then and still hasn't done anything, is he waiting for me to attack him, then I gladly accept" Alex spoke.
Zen took a deep breath before rushing forward again, this time he was even slower and sloppy than before, he swung his sword close to Alex right hand so it would be easy for him to dodge and Alex did.
"Haaa..." Alex shouted as he swung his fist to punch Zen.
"I got you now, power slash" Zen mumbled and at that moment his speed was tripled.
