Chapter 6: Searching for the Three Ninja

“It’s so delicious, sir!”

Even with his mouth full of cream bread and ham, Yahiko could still speak what he wanted to say. However, some of the things he sprayed out made Cain frown and move away from him slightly.

The blue-haired Konan noticed Cain’s mood and quickly said to Yahiko, “Swallow it before speaking. Sir, I’m sorry, we’re all too hungry, and your bread is really delicious.”

“Don’t call me sir. We’re not that familiar. My name is Cain Pent. Just call me Mr. Cain.”

Cain said to Yahiko and the other two. Then he continued to ask, “Where are you going? Which ninja are you looking for to be your teacher and learn ninjutsu?”

“We don’t know. Last time we saw a group of Leaf Village ninjas fighting with Hanzo and surviving, we wanted to find them, learn ninjutsu from them, and then change the Land of Rain.”

Yahiko said, full of fighting spirit, but Cain shook his head after hearing it. However, he was just a little over ten years old and naive.

“What’s wrong, Mr. Cain? Don’t you believe what I said?” Yahiko saw Cain shaking his head and asked him in disbelief.

“No, your ideals are good. Keep it up.” Cain didn’t like to argue with fools because it was meaningless. He didn’t need to teach dumbs, and it was not a good thing for him to have more intelligent people around him.

Then, Cain continued to ask, “Do you know the whereabouts of the Leaf Village ninja?”

Seeing Cain’s perfunctory answer, Yahiko was initially angry and wanted to argue, but then he heard Cain asking about the Leaf Village ninja, so he spoke up, “We probably know. They didn’t leave any bodies after fighting with Hanzo. Just think in the direction of the Land of Fire, and you will eventually catch up with them.”

“Oh, I see.”

Cain nodded and thought to himself that what Yahiko and the others were looking for was the three ninjas of Konoha. It would be better to tie the world trade target to Tsunade or Orochimaru if possible. Before the Third Great Ninja War, they would be staying in Konoha, and Jiraiya would most likely choose to stay and take care of Yahiko and the others.

If I can trade with Konoha, it is a good thing. After establishing a cooperative relationship, it will be considered stable. I can also hire Konoha ninjas to gain a firm foothold in the country of fire and then build influence.

Cain pondered for a while and thought it was an excellent choice to follow Yahiko and the others to look for the three ninjas of Konoha. If Konoha did not trust him and intended to harm him, Cain would immediately give up this dimension and return to the Marvel world.

“Mr. Cain, what are you thinking?” Konan asked softly. Unfortunately, the bread he pretended to be just now was a plastic bag. Otherwise, she would definitely fold a paper flower for Mr. Cain.

“It’s nothing. Let’s make a deal. I will follow you guys to find the Konoha ninjas. You have to hurry up and find them. These three boxes of milk and chocolates are for you as a reward.”

Cain took out three boxes of milk and some chocolate candies from his backpack, placed them on the ground, and then looked at the three kids.

The three children’s eyes lit up when they saw the milk and chocolate. Even when there was no war, they rarely had the opportunity to eat such food.

However, Yahiko was still a little wary and asked, “Mr. Cain, what do you want with the Konoha ninjas?”

Cain waved his hand and said, “For trading. I am a merchant. I came here because I got lost. You don’t think I want to become a ninja like you guys, do you? Be more mature, kid.”

After hearing this, Yahiko felt a little ashamed. He did have such thoughts just now, hoping that Cain would not compete with them for the opportunity to become a ninja. However, after hearing the explanation, Yahiko realized that Cain was much older than them and it was unrealistic for him to become a ninja.

“Okay, we promise. Thank you, Mr. Cain.”

After Yahiko finished speaking, he immediately took the milk and chocolate and handed them to Konan and Nagato, respectively. After being hungry for so many days, this was their best meal. Whether it was the cream bread, ham sausage, or chocolate, the three of them cherished it and put it in their pockets.

“Since we have agreed, let’s go. I don’t have much time left.”

Cain stood up and patted the dust off his clothes. He told the three children that he only had a day left and still had to consider persuading Tsunade and Orochimaru. He could only bind the world trade coordinates on Nagato or Konan if it didn’t work.

Then, Yahiko, Konan, Nagato, and Cain continued to head toward the Land of Fire. Although Yahiko was a bit naive, his mind was still good. At least he could analyze the return route of the three ninjas of Konoha and catch up with them. This was the level of most ninjas, and they were still untrained children.

However, the problem was that the three children’s physical strength was insufficient. But every time they said they needed to rest, Cain would take out chocolate or other food to motivate them and make them hurry up to find the three ninjas as soon as possible.

With the motivation of food, Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato also burst out with unprecedented potential. They walked for four or five hours continuously. When it was getting dark, they finally found the three ninjas of Konoha.

“Now they are in front of us, Mr. Cain,” he said.

“Just go straight ahead. You are the supplicant party; your only advantage is your age and sincerity. I am a businessman, and acting suspiciously may alert the other party, which could hinder the smooth progress of the transaction, especially if they have already discovered us,” Cain replied.

After speaking, Cain walked towards the sheltered area before them to avoid the rain.

“Darn it, we were too careless. Konan and Nagato hide and wait for me. If things go wrong, run away quickly,” Yahiko said.

After speaking, Yahiko followed Cain and walked towards the ruined building where they might rest.

“The war is finally coming to an end. Once the Sand Ninjas retreat, we can return to the village and rest,” Tsunade said, taking a deep breath after finishing her biscuit. The continuous fighting, even with the demi-gods of the ninja world, had exhausted them. Moreover, the war had been going on for a long time, and Konoha’s logistics were starting to fall behind. They needed to resolve the Sand Ninja problem as soon as possible.

“Although that’s true, we can only hope that the other ninja villages will behave themselves, or we won’t be able to rest in peace, Tsunade,” Jiraiya said, before seeing two figures walking towards them from a distance in the rain, one tall and one short, without hiding their presence.

Tsunade had already refined her chakra and was ready to act, but she frowned slightly and whispered, “They don’t seem to be ninjas.”

“Dear Konoha ninjas, please don’t misunderstand us. We are not ninjas from the Hidden Rain Village, and we are only here to discuss something with you,” Cain shouted from a distance, still standing in the rain because he had not seen Orochimaru hiding in the shadows, ready to strike.

Therefore, Cain did not approach and waited for a response from Tsunade and Jiraiya.

“Come in and talk,” Tsunade finally shouted after a dozen seconds. At the same time, Orochimaru also emerged from the shadows.
