Chapter 21 Return and Supplement

_

“Cain, where did you find all these good things?”

Carl was lucky enough to follow Cain to the Washington Gadshill Auction House. The items Cain brought back had been warming up for more than ten days, attracting many Japanese people who were interested in them.

It was likely a piece of unrecorded blank history. Just the appraisal expert’s words made these auction items worth a lot.

“My grandfather inherited them from his grandfather. They have been kept in the basement of my house all along. I wouldn’t have known about these things without looking at my father’s notebook.”

Cain casually gave Carl a reason, then continued to look at the Gadshill Auctions. Auctions in the early 21st century were not as advanced as they are now, even for Gadshill Auction House.

He only came in to see how much money he could get for the items he brought back, without any intention of buying anything.

Cain’s items were not particularly valuable, but they were numerous and had some historical value. Otherwise, most of them would have been just gold.

The jewelry and the like had already been sold. Cain got over six million dollars, a little less than he had imagined. But since they didn’t have a legitimate source, there was nothing else he could do.

As Cain sold each of his collections one by one, his smile grew brighter and brighter.

Cain thought he would get about three or four million dollars for everything, even though there were a lot of items, many of them were just jewelry. But in the end, he sold them for nearly nine million dollars. Together with the jewelry sales, he made more than fifteen million dollars just in this one transaction, more than he had earned from the stock market in the past three years.

When they returned, Carl was very excited and said to Cain, “Cain, you’re already a millionaire. That car doesn’t suit your status. What do you plan to get? I suggest you buy a sports car.”

“Carl, I’ve been a millionaire for a long time, and the car I drive now is very comfortable. I won’t change it for now.”

Cain stopped Carl’s chatter, but he didn’t succeed. Carl continued to talk all the way until they were on the plane, and he became tired.

After returning to New York, Cain took another month off from school and rushed to his company.

He had obtained the qualifications for pharmaceutical wholesale and trade. He had hired several people to run businesses in various countries. He assigned them tasks and got the company up and running. His Cain Pharmaceutical Wholesale Company had already signed contracts with pharmaceutical factories for large-scale purchases and had leased cargo ships and warehouses.

Professionals did many things, but Cain oversaw the company’s finances, purchases, and warehouses. He also arranged the staff because he had another trading partner in another world.

“The biotech company should also be set up, but an empty shell won’t do. I don’t know which direction to research.”

Cain had many things he wanted to research, such as a powerful body, gamma rays, eternal life, and so on, but he lacked the knowledge and expertise. Although Cain did well in high school, he had not studied anything related to bio-medicine. His best position was as an investor and collaborator, not a researcher.

Cain planned to build a research base for the biotech company. The funds were already available, the personnel were ready, and even the construction team had prepared the blueprints. But Cain had not yet found a suitable research direction.

“Tony Stark? This guy could casually donate what took me three years to save up. By the way, the Extremis Virus!”

Cain suddenly realized that his biotech company’s first project should be invested in something like the Extremis Virus. Tony Stark rejected Dr Aldrich Killian at the end of last year and the beginning of this year. It had only been a few months, so Killian might have started researching with Maya Hansen.

Both were geniuses and if they could perfect the Extremis Virus, it would be a significant advancement for the human body.

The main thing was that Killian and Maya were both experts in biotechnology, and Cain could take their research to make a deal with Orochimaru. Three biotech researchers studying human evolution would certainly have a lot in common.

Perhaps the research on the Extremis Virus could help Orochimaru achieve greater breakthroughs with the Hashirama Cells. If successful, Cain’s extraordinary dream would come true. Otherwise, even if he studied Chakra, he would still be a ninja of the lowest rank.

However, learning Chakra was still worth considering. At least the Clone Technique and Shadow Clone Jutsu would be useful for him. He just needed to consult with the shinobis in the ninja world.

“I need an assistant who can handle trivial matters perfectly.”

Cain thought for a moment and decided to let the headhunting company find two assistants for him; this would make things much easier for him, whether dealing with the pharmaceutical wholesale trading company or the biotech research company. At least he wouldn’t have to personally find Killian and Maya.

Most of the more than $15 million he earned this time was invested in constructing the two companies. A few million was entrusted to Connor. He didn’t give it to Carl because he sometimes couldn’t decide without Cain being present.

Simply put, there was a chance of losing money, and although Carl was Cain’s good friend, Cain still tried to avoid hurting their friendship.

Now, Cain’s net worth was close to $40 million, not including his hospital shares. He had achieved this in less than two months, most of which was earned through trading with the ninja world.

This earning speed would be hard to achieve unless he switched the trading system to the stock market.

“Two slots can set out the weapons, and I also need to bring three production lines and cocoa trees. The other items can remain the same.”

Cain was still under the watchful eye of Konoha. In the Fire Country, other than the daimyos and nobles, there was only Konoha as a military organization. Cain wanted to develop his armed personnel but could only do so after invading smaller countries. Otherwise, he would be targeted by Konoha.

“Almost done.”

After checking everything again, Cain set off again, heading towards the ninja world.
