Chapter 24 Irregular Couple

Seeing him kicking the floor and jumping to the side from Heaven's Staircase, Cang Xue's heart shivered as she didn't expect him to really fulfill his words.
'Ah...Noo.....I won't let you die alone.'
Her Yue Yan was falling down to the ground from this great height causing her stubborn heart to accompany him to his grave as an unwavering glint flickered in her eyes.
"Don't even think about that. You have a very crucial mission to stop XiéLóng temple. This world needs you, Cang Xue." Yuena's voice rang out in her mind.
"I refuse." Cang Xue coldly responded to her and jumped behind Meng Long who was falling down with an incredible speed.
"This irregular couple...I won't be able to understand any of them." Yuena sighed inwardly.

After Meng Long activated his [Gravity Limit] their falling speed increased by ten folds as they started falling down even faster.
Their clothes and hair fluttered with the current of wind as Meng Long wrapped his hand around Cang Xue's waist tightly so she doesn't fall away.
Cang Xue was having a blissful moment being with him and his hand gripped around her waist just enhanced her confidence in him that he still treasures her like old days.
Noticing two figures falling from Heaven's Staircase, the Old man's face darkened as this unpredicted event happened.
He was standing on the artificial clouds at the White Transparent Platform.
It terrified him to see the new students diving from Heaven's Staircase as a shiver ran down his spine because he was in charge of this Tianhai's trial.
'If anything happened to those kids I'll be done for. The headmaster wouldn't let me go easily.'
The old man also dived in to save the new students of the inner court as this could bring calamity to him if children got injured or worse died on his watch.
He activated his full spirit energy as he flew like a rocket toward his goal.
'I wouldn't able to make it in time. Those two kids would die at this rate.'
He was 100 meters away from the target when the duo was about to hit the ground.
Suddenly, an unexpected thing happened in front of the frightened audience.
The duo's speed slowed down all of a sudden and they started hovering in the air. Meng Long lifted the blonde-haired girl in a bridal carry as he landed perfectly on the ground after making use of [Gravity Break].
This spirit skill helped him lower gravity's pulling force on themselves. If he increased the impact of Gravity Break, they could just fall towards the sky like how they dropped towards the ground.
Cang Xue pecked his cheeks with her cherry-like lips as this happened.
The boy didn't show any resistance as he was used to her assertive side for a lifetime.
The blonde-haired beauty had wrapped her hands around the masked guy's neck.
"Princess Cang Xue, are you alright?" The old man asked hurriedly in a concerned voice as he reached the duo's location.
He was taking heavy breathing due to speeding off from a such long distance, pouring out all his spirit energy and strength to catch the duo.
"Yes, Elder Wan. Nothing can happen to me as long as I'm with my darling. He is my life Guardian" The girl said in a loving tone, while her face looked vibrant.
Meng long put her down and asked the old man, "So have we been disqualified from the trial?"
"No... you both didn't break any rules. You guys have finished the trial successfully as you being first and Princess becoming the second one. You can start your final stage of Tianhai's trial to get a lead from other students." Elder Wan said in a suggestive tone as if he was happy the kids were alright.
"Okay. Where is it?" Meng Long asked in a relaxed voice.
"There you see the portal a hundred meters away. That will lead you to a realm where you will be fighting monsters of your level. If you're warrior rank you will fight warrior rank beast. You have six hours to hunt. The person who kills the highest number of beasts wins." Elder Wan explained the rules of the next trial.
"Okay." Meng Long responded and traveled towards the next trial entrance.
Cang Xue followed him with a joyous heart. The blonde-haired beauty felt as if she was the happiest person on earth while the girl was around the person she loved.
The final trial portal was made in the midst of the grassland. It was built on an ascended circular platform with a small staircase to climb.
The middle of the portal door was similar to a space rift. As if a stone was thrown in stilled water, it was making circular waving patterns.
As Meng Long climbed to the platform's stairs, he frowned observing the Portal's surroundings.
'There is some lingering dark aura around it. This is giving me a bad premonition. What is it that's waiting for me on the other side?'
He didn't contemplate much and entered the portal as Cang Xue followed together with him.
A pulling force dragged them both inside and threw them outside a mountainous region.
Meng felt his face was on a soft cushion as he moved his hands to figure it out. The boy was groping her well-endowed bosom, realizing he was hugging Cang Xue as they fell together.

Cang Xue's face was beet red but soon he rolled her to the side, giving her an apologetic look.
*Howl!*
There was a huge cave near them while on the other side was a creepy forest where howls of wolves could be heard.
"Ah...this is not good. It's not the last stage of Tianhai's Trial." Cang Xue spoke in panic as they stood up and discovered their location.
"Someone must have altered the portal so we were sent here." Meng Long responded to her while inspecting their surroundings.
"Who could it be?" Cang Xue asked in a questioning tone.
"There was a diversion in the Portal's waypoint by someone. It has changed your destination to this place. This is Tianhai Academy's hardest trial, known as the Shadow Dream. It can only be done in a group of at least nine students." Yuena's distressed voice sounded beside them but she wasn't present in the trial.
