Chapter 108 The Start Of The Journey . . .

[BONUS]

Standing in front of the giant boulders that crossed each other just outside my walls, I couldn't help but ask Athena again.

"Is this really the teleportation gate?" I asked. I have the Teleportation Gate icon in my menu now, so it must be it.

Athena nodded. "That's right, my Lord. We could change the design if you want."

"Nah. It's fine. I'm just surprised because it looked like those ancient stones in Scotland. Not that I've seen it in person."

I took a step forward before turning back at Athena. "So, how does this work?"

"Since your house has been upgraded to level five, the gate is already functional. Just step into the center of the stones and pick a location to go from the list of available places."

I did what Athena said and stared at the list of the choices presented.

<HAVEN>

<Dementia's House>

<Roselake Town>

"Hmm . . . only three?"

"They're the three main places that had a save point."

"Save point? Like those crystal thingies at the entrance of every town and village or cave?"

Athena nodded.

"I see . . . and I could teleport anywhere from the places that I had been to, right?"

"That's right, my Lord. But only if there's a save point or Teleportation Gate in that location."

"So how do I return? I just have to press the icon?"

"Unfortunately, my Lord. Unlike our initial thought, it looked like there's a  . . . slight difference this time."

"Deference?" I didn't like the sound of that.

"Apparently, the Teleportation Gate icon in your menu is only to activate and deactivate the gate and nothing more. Activating it would make anyone appear at your gate as long as this location became available in their map. Deactivating it prevented anyone from accessing your gate.

"I suggest to always deactivate it when you don't use it."

"Then . . . how would I access the gate here then?"

"Not to worry, my Lord, just go to any Teleportation Gate in town, and you can teleport back here."

I sighed. "How about that save point?"

"Unfortunately, the save point only works one way. You can appear in the save point, but the save point can't teleport you anywhere on the map. In the first place, a save point purpose is exactly that. It's a mark of the place you visited and a point where you could teleport.

"This world must have designed it that way since not all places have a Teleportation Gate, but save points are everywhere on the map."

Well, that was disappointing . . . I really thought that I would be able to appear back in my territory with just a press of a button. But it turned out that I had to find another Teleportation Gate to teleport back here.

Oh, well. No use in overthinking about it.

It was better than traveling for how many weeks back into my territory.

"My Lord!"

Florin came wailing to me with Megu and Angelica not far behind her.

I already talked about my departure with them last night, and I had planned to take my leave at the earliest hour so I wouldn't have to say goodbye to them the second time around.

But it looked like I couldn't escape my fate.

"My Lord!" Florin stopped just a meter from me and exclaimed, "I will go with you!"

I shook my head. "You're more needed here than where I'm going. And like I said last night, you're the co-leader of HAVEN now and must be here when I'm not around."

Florin's eyes shook with fake tears. "B-but . . ."

I squeezed her shoulders because she seemed to be inclined to follow orders if I did that.

"Don't worry. I'll be back before you know it." You can't come with me. What would happen to the farms here without your magical touch? I said to her in my mind.

"I'll bring you something from my journey. So be good and stay here."

<Host means, 'be evil' and stay here>

Florin wiped away her fake tears and smiled.

"Alright. Bring me so many things. K~?" she said with a cutesy tone.

I nodded to end the conversation.

I then looked over at Megu and Angelica next.

Angelica raised her hand and called out, "Da. Da."

I'm not your father, though. But with your infinity LCK, I would even become your grandfather if you want. I thought to myself while I only gave Megu a nod and turned back.

I couldn't exactly say that I enjoyed last night with her. I was sure that she had already understood it with just a stare.

We developed that kind of connection.

<Host got to know her very well. Especially every night~>

I ignored the system and equipped my gear and the maw on my face before I pressed <Roselake Town> from the selection in the Teleportation Gate.

I was going to visit Dementia first to look at her brews and to check up on her, but I decided against it in the end. I didn't have players to buy her latest brew, and I definitely don't want to acquire that interest.

I also didn't want to waste the Teleportation Gate since I could only use it one way to her, as well as, waste my precious time with needles chatter. So off to Roselake Town with me.

I only had a day and a few hours left before my other self would take over, and I expected that I could find Blue River Town and Honoka Village by that time. Or either one was fine.

As long as I found those two's locations, it would be easier to go there in the future using the Teleportation Gate even if I didn't manage to destroy it because my other self came along.

While my body was turning to pixels and teleporting me to another location, I stared into Athena's silver irises and worded.

"Take care of everything here."

Athena only nodded before everything went blank in a split second, and I was transported meters outside of Roselake Town's walls.

That went well. I said, checking my limbs to see if they were still intact. Unlike in the scary movies I saw where they lost their limbs when they went through a gate.

There wasn't even that surge of dizziness like in the movies where they threw up because of the spacial travel.

At this moment, Yuko was asking to be released via notification.

[Your Minion, Yuko, wanted to accompany you in your journey!]

[Let her go]

[Ignore her]

Yuko was expressing her strong will to come with me, and who am I to decline her? With a God accompanying me, it would ease my travels a lot.

Little Piggy had done its once-a-month quota with me, so it was off somewhere to enjoy itself. Probably in areas with a lot of food. Though I doubt it flew far away since the Little Piglet was enjoying its time proving itself from Daedalus.

It was probably in the cave and was mining ores. I mused.

With a loud puff, a pinkish smoke appeared and came out Yuko, who was stretching her arms while her enormous breasts jiggled as she did so.

"AauUgGhHh!" she groaned.

Someone who might heard her would thought that something lewd was happening.

A good thing that this place had become haunted now, and no one wanted to even pass through this route anymore.

She then looked left and right and hopped from side to side before she settled her attention on the town before us.

"Whoa! What is this place? It looks! It looks! . . depressive?"

"This town is formerly known as Roselake Town," I said and peeked inside its broken gates.

There was nothing inside anymore except burned houses and corpses.

"What is this place?" she asked.

I shrugged. "It used to be a beautiful place and a popular one at that because of its pristine lake and beautiful sceneries."

"Is that so? What happened?" Yuko asked with a curiosity that could kill a cat.

"I don't know." I wasn't sure either since I didn't see it first-hand.

But since I got those rewards for destroying it, I bet it had something to do with the cursed bomb I threw towards the Mayor's bedroom.

Who knew that Dementia's brews could destroy an entire town?

"By the way . . ." I changed the topic and ran my eyes over at Yuko. "Are you going to come with me looking like that?"

Her ears were up, and her nine tails were swaying back and forth. Not to mention her beautiful face but her enormous breasts and alluring body were extremely eye-catching.
