Chapter 248 - 248 The Exquisite Boy

248 The Exquisite Boy

The next day, after Qiao Yue got up and washed up, she sprayed herself with the perfume.

The faint woody scent permeated the room, its distinct smell mind-clearing.

Qiao Yue’s fragrance followed as she descended the stairs.

This smell really suited Qiao Yue, as if it belonged to her.

“The perfume that second brother got you really suits you,” Qiao Yu said.

Qiao Xin asked quickly, “What about me? I’m using the make-up that second brother got me.”

Qiao Xin’s make-up was always heavy. Qiao Yu chuckled. “You had better remove what you have on and put on lighter make-up. That way, you won’t be questioned by your form teacher.”

Qiao Xin pouted unhappily.

Qiao Jing’s favoritism towards Qiao Yue was getting more obvious. The perfume he had chosen for Qiao Yue was specially picked out for him, but he just bought her the usual, latest line of make-up.

Qiao Xin felt bitter in her heart.

Qiao Yu was also a little suspicious. He had never seen his second brother so enthusiastic about buying gifts. He had even picked out Qiao Yue’s perfume so carefully by scent and name.

“Qiao Yue, what’s the scent of your perfume? I think it’s pretty good. Can you tell me? I would like to buy the same.” Qiao Yu asked as he ate his breakfast.

“Fourth brother, it’s better to find a scent that suits you when it comes to perfume.” Qiao Yue said to Qiao Yu with a smile.

Qiao Yue was rarely so petty that he didn’t even want to share with Qiao Yu the scent of his perfume.

Qiao Yu was a little confused. He sniffed the perfume in the air again and felt that there was nothing special about it. It was just an ordinary woody scent. He had overreacted.

After breakfast, Qiao Yu didn’t mention the perfume again. Instead, he went on to a shopping website and searched for perfumes.

He also wanted to give Qiao Yue a bottle of perfume. He didn’t know why, but maybe he was inspired by Qiao Jing, or maybe he just wanted to find a perfume that was suitable for Qiao Yue.

When everyone finished breakfast, the school-going cousins all got into the car and headed for school.

Harvey’s anniversary celebration was basically over. But because the school’s computer lab was being renovated, the computer science fair was postponed until this week.

The students from St. Faustina’s stayed at Harvey for an additional week.

The computer science fair consisted of two parts. The first part was a hackathon, and the second, a software development competition.

Qiao Yue and her classmates were still in their first year, so they didn’t participate in the software development competition. Instead, they focused only on the hackathon.

This year’s hackathon was a “Capture the Flag” (CTF) hacking competition. CTF was an internationally recognized form of hacking competition where teams or individuals had to solve a series of challenges.

Once a challenge had been solved successfully, the competitor will find a “flag” within the challenge that was proof of completion. This proof must then be submitted to the organizers in exchange for scores.

The “flags” this time were planted by Harvey Academy. They didn’t employ the traditional attack and defense format, but one of battle royale.

All the first-year computer science students and all the students from St. Faustina’s would take part in this competition. The first person who solved Harvey’s challenges and got the highest score would win the competition.

And the school the winner was from would be the hackathon champion.

Although the competition format looked rather straightforward, it was no trivial matter to Harvey as it affected the school’s dignity and honor.

The small fights they had before the school’s anniversary celebration were small potatoes compared to this. This competition was the real thing on the battlefield.

The player most likely win the championship this time was Oswald from St. Faustina’s. His computing skills were known to all, and he had made a name for himself internationally.

As soon as Qiao Yue and the others arrived in class, Chang Yuan asked them to go to the computer lab.

Today was the first round of the CTF competition. The first 30 people who got the “flag” would advance to the second round. There was another round after the second round and the challenges would get increasingly harder.

When Qiao Yue and the others arrived at the computer lab, the students from St. Faustina’s were already there.

They were all wearing the long robes they wore before and looked like a group of missionaries.

Seated across from Qiao Yue’s computer happened to be Oswald.
