266 An Operation Plan
“Mother” was a very distant word to Qiao Yue.
Other than seeing her in her dreams, everything about Qiao Yue’s mother was a distant memory.
But she remembered that she returned to the Qiao family to fulfill her mother’s last wish. However, the Qiao family and the city they lived in weren’t as simple as she had thought.
In the few months she lived with the Qiao family, she had discovered serious undercurrents beneath the calm.
The past was like an evil eye in a black hole, watching her and trying to pull her into the vortex of evil.
“I met Andy today.”
Qiao Jing took a deep breath and exhaled hard.
Wasn’t Andy the important member of parliament from D-Country?
“Andy told me that he was an old friend of your mother’s.”
Qiao Yue looked at Qiao Jing with surprise in her eyes.

Waited for her father?

“What kind of person is your father?”

“My father probably isn’t a scumbag.”

He seemed to be protecting something or was on some kind of secret mission.
That was why his relationship with Qiao Yue and her mother couldn’t be made public, nor could they have any contact with him. Their family had to change their names and hide.
It was easy to guess the kind of job he held.
After Qiao Jing heard Qiao Yue’s description, he had a rough idea. “Andy might know your mother, even your father. Andy comes from a prominent, drug-dealing family. Your father’s profession was probably as you guessed.”
Qiao Jing did not point it out directly.
It was a noble profession, but his family was bound to face danger and responsibilities.
Their identities and their past would be sealed in C-Country. Their files would be kept in black folders and sealed with special wax seals.
“It’s just a guess from the fragments of my dreams. It might not be true. We need to find more evidence.”
If they could figure out his profession, they could start their investigation from sealed government files, or business dealings of the Eugene family. It would be a more effective way compared to perusing archived information from the Harvey school forum.
Besides, Andy wasn’t a big mouth. Since he told Qiao Jing about Qiao Qing, he might know much more than they thought.
He might also use this information against the Qiao family.
Although Qiao Jing still could not figure out Andy’s objectives, it was best to solve the problem as soon as possible.
“I’ll get Jin Lu and people from Yayi to assist you in the operation next week,” Qiao Yue said.
“Jin Lu is ready to be prey in their hunting ground.”
“Hunting ground” was a common term in their business.
They tricked girls with dreams of making it into the entertainment industry into signing so-called foreign acting contracts with seemingly reputable companies. But these girls were just signing a contract to sell themselves.
These ignorant girls would then be shipped to D-Country to become playthings in places like Mahad.
Those people would also take nude pictures of these girls and use them, on top of their contracts, to threaten the girls into going abroad. Those who didn’t comply would be drugged on the spot and raped before they were shipped overseas.
Qiao Yue handed over the information she had found out to Qiao Jing.
Qiao Jing was not surprised. When he was building his own team away from the Qiao family, he had also hired people to look into Mahad and its business dealings. Similar things happened from time to time in D-Country.
“The best outcome of this operation is to obtain evidence of their crimes and save those girls. Our priority is to save the girls, even if we are unable to obtain any evidence.”
Qiao Jing nodded in agreement. “We’ll probably run into Qiao Yi and Qiao Li in this operation. If we do, don’t let them go either. We’ll just act according to our plan.”
