308 The Household Account
With Qiao Xin suspended from school indefinitely, Qiao Yue’s school life became more pleasant.
She would go to school and play games with Qiao Ying and Qiao Yu every day. When they came home, she would help Qiao Ying with household management.
For a large household like the Qiao’s, there were many flaws in its management.
The two of them would often work past midnight. Qiao Yu would bring them delicious supper and they would eat together before going to bed.
Today, Qiao Yue and Qiao Ying were sorting out household procurement over the past few years.
They realized there were many mistakes in their procurement over the past few years.
“Look at this, this pen was logged as a gift, but the invoice didn’t match what was in our procurement list. There’s a difference of hundreds of thousands of yuan. Where did the money go?”
Qiao Ying pointed at the discrepancies and showed them to Qiao Yue.
Qiao Ying was very smart. She had only been learning for a few days, and she could already spot accounting problems.

After Qiao Yue looked through household procurement from the past few years, she realized that Tao Xi had used procurement as cover to siphon off a lot of money to fund Qiao Li and Qiao Yi’s business.

Qiao Yue took Qiao Ying’s laptop and started reading the list while eating the snacks that Qiao Yu brought.
Qiao Ying’s list was very detailed. It even included which store to buy which things from and what discounts to use. Based on Qiao Ying’s plan, they would end up below budget for the New Year purchases.
“Well done.” Qiao Yue patted Qiao Ying’s head.
Qiao Ying smiled in embarrassment.
Qiao Yue picked up a cookie and handed it to Qiao Ying. “Eat this. Give yourself a little reward.”
Qiao Ying shook her head. “Fifth brother, there’s a final exam tomorrow morning. I can’t eat anything, or I’ll be so nervous that I’ll throw up tomorrow.”
Qiao Yu and Qiao Yue sighed almost at the same time.
It seemed that Qiao Ying’s affliction could not be cured.
Qiao Yue handed the cookie to Qiao Ying. “I’ll help you settle things tomorrow morning. Eat first.”
