347 Amusement Park
When Qiao Yue arrived at the welfare home, Linlin, who was still running around a couple of days ago, was gravely ill and lying in bed.
“Brother, you’ve come to see me.” Linlin tried her best to smile adorably when she saw Qiao Yue.
“What’s going on? Why are you so weak?” Qiao Yue touched Linlin’s head.
“Brother, how much longer will I live?” Linlin looked at Qiao Yue with tears in her eyes. “I know Sister Lin Jie is lying to me. Actually, I won’t recover at all.”
“No, no. You’ll be fine.” Qiao Yue looked at Linlin, her eyes filled with heartache.
“Brother, can you bring me to the amusement park? I really want to go.” Linlin’s round eyes lit up. “I want to try cotton candy and jump on the trampoline.”
“Sure.” Qiao Yue nodded.
This girl was not even ten years old, but she had to go through such suffering. That man deserved to die.
Lin Jie and Qiao Yue played with Linlin for a while before Lin Jie asked Linlin to go to bed and brought Qiao Yue to another room.
“What’s the situation with Linlin?” Qiao Yue asked with a frown.
“It should be this month.”
“What?” Qiao Yue frowned. “Wasn’t she okay just a few days ago?”
“Once there are signs of internal bleeding, it’s hard to save her. She has been needing blood transfusion more frequently. She won’t be able to hold on for long.”
“If you can, try to take her to the amusement park in the next two days.” Qiao Yue looked at Lin Jie, and the hope in her eyes slowly dissipated.
She knew that death was inevitable. Although she was a renowned doctor, she could not cure all diseases.
“How’s our medicine? Is it helpful?”
Lin Jie nodded. “Although we don’t have much time left, our medicine can sustain her for a while.”
Qiao Yue looked through the glass panel at Linlin, who was lying inside the ward.
Linlin was sleeping soundly. She might be dreaming about something that she was crying silently. Tears fell from the corners of her eyes into her hair.
“Help me arrange things so I could take her there in the next couple of days.”
“I’ll go with you,” Qiao Jing’s voice rang out from behind Qiao Yue.
Qiao Yue turned around and saw Qiao Jing standing behind her. For some reason, she felt her eyes sting and lowered her head to hold back her tears.
“Sure. I’ve never been to the amusement park in Hanshan City. Let’s go together.”
Qiao Jing looked at Qiao Yue, his eyes dark and gloomy.
The two of them took Linlin to the amusement park the next day.
The amusement park in Hanshan City wasn’t big. There were only a few simple facilities such as bumper cars, trampolines, a dusty merry-go-round and a roller coaster. It was obvious that business was not very good.
Qiao Yue and Qiao Jing each held Linlin’s hand as they walked into the amusement park.
They looked like a couple bringing their kid to an amusement park.
Perhaps due to excitement, Linlin’s little face was flushed, and she was very energetic.
“You have two brothers bring you out to play today. Are you happy?” Qiao Yue asked.
Linlin smiled. “I’m happy. It would be great if you two brothers were my parents.”

Qiao Yue stood rooted to the ground in disbelief. Had Qiao Jing noticed something? Did Qiao Jing know that she was a girl?
Qiao Yue shook her head to clear her mind. They were here to play with Linlin today, not to think about other things.
Qiao Yue ran a few steps and caught up with the two.
There weren’t many people in the merry-go-round queue, so it was soon their turn.

Qiao Yue and Linlin sat together, while Qiao Jing sat on another horse.
The turning merry-go-round made Linlin giggle. She didn’t look like a sick child now.
“Linlin, what do you want to do when you grow up?” Qiao Jing asked.
Linlin frowned and fell into deep thought. “Brother, do you think I will grow up?”
