The Yayi Club in the south of the city was where the upper class usually hung out.
But now, all the lights were off. Only an empty building stood at its site with no sign of life.
Apparently the boss of Yayi Club had offended someone, and the club was closed overnight, and no one ever visited it again.
Qiao Yue went around the safety barriers to the entrance of Yayi.

The usually lively lobby was now quiet. The huge windows were not covered by curtains, and moonlight fell on the white floor.
Qiao Yue slowly walked towards her old office, her footsteps echoing in the hall.
Yayi Club didn’t look like it was in ruins. It looked the same way it had except everyone had disappeared overnight.
Qiao Yue walked up the ornamental stairs and entered her office in the dark.
A man was sitting by the window of the office.
Qiao Yue didn’t make a sound but looked at the man. The window behind him wasn’t covered by curtains, and the statue of the Ophanim in the distance could be seen clearly under the full moon.
“Third brother, long time no see.”
Qiao Yue slowly spat out these words.
“Yeah, long time no see.” Qiao Ze jumped down from the window and looked at Qiao Yue. “I don’t think second brother will be able to persuade you, so I’m here to try again.”
“Third brother, since you are here, you must know my identity. I don’t want to repeat what I said to second brother.”
“I remember when I saw you in Nanshan, you were in high spirits. You rode a motorcycle to the Qiao residence. After that, we raced many times. I’ve always felt that you were a carefree person with no worries.” Qiao Ze ignored Qiao Yue’s words and continued talking.
“I know the current situation with the Qiao family. Qiao Li and Qiao Yi have ruined our family reputation, so when you came, I thought you can help second brother to revive the Qiao family.”

The statue of the Ophanim looked at the two of them quietly from a distance.
“Do you know why I placed a statue of the Ophanim on the racetrack?” Qiao Ze asked.
“Why?”
“Angels are often ugly. The ones who seduce you with their beautiful appearance are usually demons. That’s what the Bible says.”
Qiao Yue was silent.
She used to think that the Godfather represented justice. He had wealth and power that many people in the world didn’t have. He also assigned missions like The Custodians, to clear out the scum of the earth.
She had been seduced by the Godfather. Perhaps he just wanted them to get rid of his enemies, and had no other purpose.
“But that’s something must do, even if it doesn’t make me happy.”
She needed to avenge her mother and get rid of that scum.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If she didn’t go back to the Godfather, she wouldn’t have the chance to take revenge on him.
She wanted to ask him in his face why he had adopted her and spared no effort to raise her for so many years, making her the person she was now.
And then let her find out everything.
“Alright.” Qiao Ze raised his hand and threw a key to Qiao Yue. “If you can’t get your revenge and need a place to hide, you can go there. It’s a house in M-Country where I used to hide when I try to escape from things.”
