"How long do you think it will take to get back to the village brother?" Gaia asked while pulling his spear out of the throat of a bandit.
"Well.... I'm guessing it'll take a while. It seems that judging from how weak the draw is towards the village..... I'm guessing atleast a week if we hurry."

"Ugh, can you seriously not do that while I'm around brother? Atleast cook the meat first." Gaia looked away with a look of disgust and said as he saw as I bit down on a bandits leg and slurped the marrow like a smoothie.
"Hey, this is how I gain power. It can't be helped, plus I need to load up on nutrients in case of emergencies. We have no way to preserve this food so I might as well make use of it.

I smiles wide as I was greeted with new skills, I may not have much use for such a sneaky way of attacking since I usually either destroy with my magic or I 'play' with my food like a vicious cat and bat the opponent around with my claws or fists. But I wasn't opposed to learning to use ranged weaponry considering the war that was ever looming over us all.
"Are you finished yet? We need to reach a town or village before nightfall.... I really hope the next one is more Monster Friendly.... I hated that we had to leave after you ate the innkeeper from the last time. Couldn't we just leave peacefully?"
"He called me a fucking Lizard. You know aswell as I do how insulting that is to a Dragon.... Plus he just looked to delicious, all plump and fat like that, plus once I added a bit of that spicy mix they used for their food he was even more delicious. I damn near felt like breathing fire it was so hot but damn it was good."

Me and Gaia had been on the road for half a day when we came upon a small sized town. They had sturdy stone walls and a few guards standing guard but they way they looked at us when we approached were less than inviting.
"Halt, What do creatures like you think you're doing trying to enter our town?" The guard said while 4 more appeared from the sides and surrouned us.
I looked at them with Analyze but was so disappointed with what I saw that I just sighed. The guards all looked the same, brown leather armor that covered all but the joints and shabby looking swords and spears was all that they had. I pitied this city if any of the monsters I fought decided to attack this place.
"Me and my brother are only here to find a place to stay for the night. We have been traveling for half a day and we would like to rest before continuing our journey, I promise good sir that we mean no harm nor intend to cause problems in your fine city." My brother Gaia then bowed a little after he spoke.
The guards then looked at eacthother before looking at the one who first spoke to us as if he was the one to give final say.
"Hmmm, well aslong as you give up your weapons I guess I can make an exception."
"Nope." I looked right in his face while saying that.
"Then you won't get inside simple as that."
"Then how would I be able to defend myself if some human thought to test his luck and turn me into some kind of accessory? I'd be surrounded by you humans in that case."
"Strong looking lizardmen like you can take care of yourself. Plus we have a strict fighting policy that gets settled by the Arena."
He fucking said it... But before I could take a step forward I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"Don't brother just leave it be. I need a soft bed atleast for one night." Gaia whispered to me and I breathed deeply to not overreact.
"Good sir, please, we are Dragonoids. We are dragons who have gained humanoid forms, Calling us Lizardmen is quite insulting."
"Hmph Like I give a shit, Just don't cause problems got it." The guard then waved us through while sending the 4 others to follow us just in case. I wasn't to hyped to just let that little worm to disrespect me like that but with Gaia here I wanted to atleast let him relax after all he's been through.
Before long we were directed to an Inn that had Adventures coming and going out of the thick wooden doors that upon closer inspection had iron reinforcements that locked from the inside... Hmm, now why would an Inn need that level of security. Something smelled fishy here and currently there wasn't any females that I saw.
We walked up to the Innkeeper and he looked like your basic bitch archtype. White t-shirt with brown pants and a glass and washcloth in his hands, I had to fight to hold in the groan at the amount of Cliche that I was witnessing.
"Good sir, me and my brother would like to rent a room with two beds for a single night. If possible that is, My brother is more than happy to sleep on the floor."

The Innkeeper just looked at us while chewing on something for a few minutes before finally he spoke.
"We don't take Lizards here." Then he puts down the glass and reaches over to tap on a wooden plaque with writing on it.
[NO Monsters. Humans only.]
Under that was a crude drawing of a human with a sword through the body of a creature.
"I'm getting heavy descrimination here. I'm not used to it. But either way that's not a deal breaker big boy. Me and my brother here just want a room. I'll pay ya so just be reasonable and don't call us lizards ok? I'll accept one mistake but it won't be forgiven a second time ok ya hairless monkey?"
I had a dangerous glint in my eye as I said that to this overweight fat shit.

I was less than impressed and nothing intrigued me about this guy. The fact I called him a hairless monkey seemed to strike a nerve and he seemed to puff up and get redder than a tomato.
"THAT'S IT GET OUT OF HERE. GUARDS REMOVE THESE FUCKING LIZARDS AND TAKE EM OUT BACK! I WANT NEW BOOTS THIS INSTANT!"
"He said it." Gaia said as he raised his hands in defeat and walked away to sit down on a chair.

I walked up to the guards as the 4 guards surrounded me with their weapons drawn and pointed at my neck. Soon the door slammed open and the main guard from before came swaggering in with a walk that said he knew something like this would happen. He had a wide grin on his face as he walked up right to my face before talking.
"Told you not to make trouble, Looks like we need to teach you a lesson on how to act when you monsters interact with humans. But hey if you're lucky maybe the Innkeeper could use some help around here.... After I'm finished with you that is." His smile widened while he said that last part.
Gaia sighed before he spoke. "Please sir, don't do that... I wouldn't provoke brother like that if I was you."
The guard didn't even look over at Gaia and acknowledge he even spoke.
"I wonder if I shouldn't take some skin from you first and make me a nice belt. What do you think.... Lizard."
Hearing that was like music to my ears as the locks on the cage in me was being unlocked. I breathed in deep as if the air smelt pleasant and a weight was released. I then looked down at the little human and smiled.
"Ya done goofed."

With a quick swipe of my claws I took off over a 3/4ths of his head as his remaining eye was wide in surprise.
