Chapter 53 You Are So Beautiful. I Love You.

The shadows started to gather together, forming a small ball of blackness that expanded outwards slowly. A giant creature emerged from the shadows. It had two pairs of arms, each arm ending with a large claw.

[Elite Bloodthirster - Possession Form]

The creature was standing near the entrance to the mansion. Its body was black in color and was covered in thick scales, making it look like a beast covered entirely in shadow.

It did not escape Nathan's notice, who was surveying the area through Geen's eyes, the hawk spirit beast hawk that was flying around above Bastien's mansion.

He cursed under his breath. "Damn it, Bastien! What kind of creature is that?"

"Calm down, Nathan," Marco said. "It looks like Bastien is just doing what he always does; playing with people. The creature is actually a human who is fusing with a spirit beast."

Marco's words calmed Nathan down a bit. "Why did Bastien have such a dangerous creature here?" Nathan said. "Do I need to fight that monster too?"

"Look at its tail." Marco pointed at the creature on the screen. "As you can see, it has a small dagger attached to it. That dagger probably has some poison on it, or maybe some other harmful substance. If you touch the dagger, you'll die."

"How do you know all this?" Nathan asked. "Isn't it weird to know exactly how poisonous a creature is, and the exact location of its dagger?"

Marco sighed. "Because Bastien taught us. When I first met him, he showed me a video of him killing a large number of monsters in one go. He told me that he made a contract with the creature to obey his commands, and he used that contract to control its behavior."

Nathan felt a chill run down his spine. "Bastien is such an asshole."

Marco paused for a moment, and he turned to look at Nathan. "Nathan, you're going to sneak inside and save Linda. You only need to follow the plan I made for you. And hopefully, we can win the battles tonight. If something untoward happens, prioritize your safety. Run, and forget about this mission."

Nathan was silent for a moment. His vision then returned to his body. "I understand."

"Are you ready?"

"I'm ready." Nathan answered, turning his head and looking at the entrance of the mansion through the screen.

Nathan was wearing all black, as well as a mask that he wore to cover his face. He still wore his cloak on his shoulders. "Alright, do everything according to plan. See you, Marco."

Marco nodded. "Stay safe."

Marco was alone in the caravan, hidden at a safe distance. Edna and Muramoto were in their posts according to Marco's plan.

Nathan's feet started moving toward the mansion.

He activated camouflage, and his body immediately turned transparent.

"Can you hear my voice clearly, Nathan?" Marco called from the earpieces.

"Yes, I can hear everything." Nathan replied.

Marco could also see everything in front of Nathan from the camera that he had put on his chest.

Marco chuckled. "It's time for you to move now. Just remember that the creature can sense your presence unless you activate your camouflage."

"I know."

Nathan moved silently as Marco instructed. He reached the edge of the trees around the mansion.

"Fang..." Nathan muttered under his breath. Then Fang appeared not far from him.

With Fang's help, Nathan jumped over a 2 story-high fence and landed on a large rock.

He continued moving forward until he reached the end of the rock. He then crouched and kept looking around him.

"Why does Bastien seem so insecure by making the mansion this closed?" Nathan said.

Marco shrugged. "I guess he wants to keep a low profile."

Nathan followed Marco's instructions. He walked straight ahead, keeping his steps as slow as possible. As he did that, Fang changed its form, turned it into its small form, and disappeared from view.

"Good, Fang. Only appears if I call you."

Nathan stared at the mansion, trying to recall every little detail of the plan.

"Go to the front door," Marco said.

Nathan slowly took a step forward.

According to what Marco said, Linda was in an underground prison in basement 5.

Nathan sighed. "To think that the most influential person in this city would have such a bad hobby."

Nathan took a slow step. From afar, he saw the disgusting creature that he saw before using Geen's eyes. Several hunters also stood guard around the gate.

The area was quiet. There was barely any movement.

Nathan continued to walk. He paused among the plants, sitting and waiting.

"Wait until the door opens, and enter quietly." Marco said.

After waiting for a while, two pairs of wooden doors opened, and a woman in a maid outfit appeared. She walked away, leaving the door open.

"What the hell?" Nathan whispered.

"Don't worry, she's only a maid." Marco said.

Nathan sighed. "She looks like a maid, but I guess her level isn't that low. But why does she leave the door open?"

"If you look closely, you'll realize that she didn't close the door properly." Marco said.

From outside, Bastien's guards could only see the woman walking away. They couldn't notice Nathan hiding among the plants.

Nathan bent down slowly and slipped inside.

"I don't know if a Tier 1 camouflage skill can be used this effectively." Nathan said. "This is great."

Nathan quickly hid behind a decorative pillar. He walked close to the wall, occasionally hiding among the objects in the hallway. Sofa, piano, etc.

Nathan went deeper inside the house and was almost at the door of the basement.

Suddenly, he heard a sound coming from behind the door, then the door slammed open. A guard walked out, not noticing Nathan standing not far from him.

'Luckily, I managed to activate the visual concealment skill from my cloak.' Nathan said to himself.

A few seconds later, another guard came out of the door.

Nathan froze, slowly moved to the side, and approached the door.

"Hey, you!" The guard yelled, pointing at Nathan. "Who are you? Where did you come from?"

"You idiot! Who are you talking to?!" the other guard exclaimed. "There's no one there!"

Nathan waited until both guards were gone before entering the room.

Nathan continued walking towards the door to the 2nd and 3rd basements and...

In the 4th basement, he found a cell on his right and left.

Nathan continued walking, searching for the stairs. He was peeking through the glass window attached to the metal door. Inside the cell was a girl with green hair. She had a green skin tone and wore a sleeveless, short black dress.

"So this is where the prisoners are kept." Nathan said, his heart pounding. "And they're all females? Are they all slaves?"

"Nathan, don't even think about freeing anyone but Linda. You don't know who they are. Not everyone in that place is human." Marco advised. "They could be anything. Even if you free someone... That person might end up being a threat to you."

The girl looked completely at peace, lying on the bed. As if she was sleeping.

The room in the cell didn't look like a prison at all. It was actually pretty comfortable. There was a table, a chair, and a wardrobe. There was a bathroom nearby. A stove and cupboards as well.

As Nathan thought about it, he realized this was a luxurious room.

He took a deep breath.

When he got closer, the girl suddenly woke up. The girl looked at Nathan, startled.

"Kuh!" The girl covered her mouth, then turned to Nathan with wide eyes.

"Oh, you scared me!" She exclaimed. "I was asleep."

"Who are you?" The girl asked. "Are you a friend? I'm so glad you've come."

"You can see me?" Nathan whispered.

"Yeah, apparently my eyesight and my hearing are pretty good." The girl said. "I can tell that you're handsome and quite tall. You must be a strong man."

Nathan felt uncomfortable with the girl.

The girl walked slowly toward the door. She looked like she was fifteen. If her skin color was normal, she would be completely indistinguishable from an ordinary human. However, her eyes were definitely different. Her eyes were a light green. They looked like liquid gems.

The girl smiled sweetly as if she was a beautiful fairy.

"You are so beautiful. I love you." Nathan felt an unbearable feeling in his heart.

Nathan felt like he was in love with her. His blood ran cold, and his heartbeat sped up.

"I'm sorry I kept you waiting." The girl said. "Please come inside."

The door opened, and the girl was standing right in front of Nathan.

He hesitated.

"Nathan! Ahhh... Stupid!" Marco said. "Leave her."

The girl was looking at him curiously, then she bowed politely. "Thank you for visiting me. Are you going to save someone? Who is she?"

Nathan felt uncomfortable with the girl's polite attitude. But he felt an unusual feeling, something he had never felt before, but it felt very comforting.

"Is she a relative?" The girl asked in a soft voice. "If you saved her, then thank you."

Nathan hesitated.

"Tell me." The girl said, "I promise I won't tell anyone."

"I don't want to talk about it." Nathan said, trying to ignore the girl's pleading eyes. "I'm sorry. I-"

Before he could finish his sentence, the girl grabbed, pulled, and hugged him tightly. She then kissed him.

The door behind Nathan was then closed.
