Chapter 80 Upgrading Earth Golem

Nathan's next class was Dimensional Traveler, which granted him the skill of Emergency Escape, allowing him to teleport away when his life is in danger. Unfortunately, this skill had a severe drawback for Nathan, as he lacked an affinity for an ancient Spatial element.

Then Nathan thought, "Wait, I just realized I only need to create one skill to get to quest level 2?" He said while smiling with anticipation and excitement. He then turned to face Luna and nodded slowly. "Luna... Did I miss something? Shouldn't I create two related skills to complete the first quest of this class?"

Luna looked confused and replied, "No Master, what actually happened is that the first quest of the Dimensional Traveler Class has been upgraded to a more difficult quest, that requires you to visit three worlds."

Nathan scratched his head and softly grunted, "Well...okay..." He nodded and muttered, "I'll wait until I have access to an ancient spatial element before taking care of this class. It's worth keeping in mind if I ever get into dangerous situations again."

His next class was Golem Creator, granting him a new skill that allowed him to create a golem with earth-related materials. He could also choose whether the created golems would be automatons or controlled by him through remote possession mode.

Nathan was musing aloud as he studied the information on his skills, considering if he should upgrade his Golem Creation class. "Having more Golems to help me would make my job a lot easier," he said.

"I enjoy direct combat, but it'd be nice to have a bit of a break every now and then. Let's see how it goes," he murmured before moving on to his last class - Grim Reaper, Afterimage Creation.

The skill provided him with the ability to create afterimages of himself. This skill was an illusion skill that didn't really have a big impact unless Nathan could use it well.

He pondered his skill, unsure of whether he should keep it or not. He looked at Luna and asked, "What do you think? Should I keep this skill?"

Luna paused, considering her response. Her eyes widened in surprise as she said, "Ah! Um, yeah, definitely. How do you feel so far in using the skill, Master? Does it give good results?"

Nathan replied, "It works as intended, but it takes a lot of concentration and mental energy to use it properly. If I had to get rid of one of my skills, this would be a good candidate..." He looked up slowly and smiled. "But maybe I'll keep it."

Luna nodded. "That makes sense. This skill gives you an advantage, so it would be a shame to get rid of it. With a bit more practice, I'm sure you can use it to its full potential."

[1 Tier 1 - Skill Remover Token]

[2 Tier 1 - Skill Upgrader Tokens]

[1 Tier 2 - Skill Combine Tokens]

"Okay, I can remove one skill, upgrade two skills and combine two skills into one," he mused thoughtfully.

He decided to hold off on removing any skills until he really needed the slot, then he asked Luna, "What skill should I upgrade first?"

She gave him a bright smile and suggested, "I'd recommend you upgrade your golem class first, Master. That should optimize the potential of your golems. But if you'd rather fight head-on, maybe the Barbarian Champion is the best option. Or maybe also Flame Sword Warrior, since that ability would increase your magic damage more optimally than any other skill. What do you think, Master?"

"Okay, I'll upgrade Berserker Form when I get the Bloodlust Empowerment skill and combine them both. I'll also upgrade my Earth Golem Personal Avatar to boost its fighting ability when I control it remotely. And I'll create a new skill for the Golem Creator, to further increase my battle potential." Nathan stroked his chin and nodded, satisfied with his decision.

Luna grinned as she said, "Excellent choice, master! It sounds like things are going smoothly!" She clapped her hands in excitement.

Nathan responded by saying, "Thanks! Okay now, let's upgrade the skill."

[Upgrading Earth Golem Personal Avatar to Tier 2]

[You spend 7,750 skill points to upgrade the skill to Tier 2 Level 5]

[Golem Creator - Earth Golem Personal Avatar Tier 2]

[The user can create a golem of earth/rock to act as their avatar. This avatar will resemble the user and possess a portion of the user's powers.

The process requires the earth/rock and three Monster Cores.

The avatar will have the same elemental affinity as the user and be able to use up to two Tier 1 skills.

Skills Change Cooldown: 24 hours.]

[Level 5: It will have 60% of the user's stats.]

"This upgrade looks interesting," Nathan remarked, studying the skill description.

He was glancing at Luna. He could see she was pleased too. "I'm wondering what it would be like to have two tier 1 skills in my golem. It would make things easier for me. But then again..."

He paused to think before saying almost to himself, "Hopefully, remote possessing skill will give me access to more of the golem senses. Let's give it a try." With that, Nathan stood up, murmuring, "The Guardian of The Moon."

A moment later, a giant golem with a body covered in black armor appeared out of nowhere, sitting down beside Nathan and Luna.

Meriel looked at him curiously. She walked closer to Nathan, examining the golem. Then she turned and said to him with astonishment on her face, "That's... a golem?!"

Nathan grinned as he watched her reaction carefully, thinking to himself. He nodded as he said softly, "Yes, it is a golem, my personal golem."

He quickly added, "But I made this one myself! It isn't like an average golem, I'll let you know," Nathan explained while smiling warmly.

Nathan leaned against the tree roots, making himself comfortable, before closing his eyes and shifting his consciousness to his golem body. He felt the usual strange sensation and began to move each part of himself, testing it out.

"Hi, Meriel," he muttered, surprised to hear his own voice coming from the golem.

"Woah, this is really awesome, Mr. Nathan," Meriel replied nervously.

Nathan was delighted to hear her voice clearly and knew he could fight more comfortably now, thanks to the upgrade. "What an upgrade, I like it," he said, feeling pleased.
