The slime golems connected, creating a gigantic puddle of that blue goo that was turning into a kind of glowing wave. The liquid was moving, rushing toward Ryan.
"Damn it..."
Moving his arm downward, he threw the energy sphere he had created downward. Judgement of the sun fell on top of that heap, causing some of the goo to bubble up and begin to evaporate with the heat of the light. Ryan activated his demonic form, channeling his black flames around that golden sword.
'My mana is running out! Nyx!'
The succubus appeared behind him, appearing as a small black shadow. Cloaked in the middle of that ruined region, the girl gave Ryan a small kiss on the head. That small contact was enough to make the succubus' mana transfer back to him. 'I think it's going to work out'
<Go> She said, pointing forward.
A wave of flames came out of Ryan's body, meanwhile Judgement of the sun increased in size. His demonic energy and mana expenditure increased dramatically, as did the heat that easily evaporated that heap of goo.
Before the creature was completely defeated, some of that liquid ran down the black sands of that region. The goo drifted down underground, disappearing completely. 'Shit... I couldn't destroy it in time,' looking forward, Ryan realized that the blue goo was still emerging from the crack.
The skeletons' attack had slowed significantly, the traveler he had found outside the portal was taking over the offensive. Flying back and forth, this glowing woman was attacking by throwing beams of light and floating spheres similar to Ryan's attacks. That warrior was decimating the skeletons, freeing the rest of the guild warriors to advance through the abyss lands.
The mages cast magical circles of gravity control, causing hundreds of warriors to be able to walk through the rift that tore through the floor of that area. There was a bizarre silence throughout the area, the travelers were looking from one side to the other, waiting for where the next attack would come from. But again, a roar came through the sky.
The travelers spotted a group of bats flying at high speed, far away in the sky. Those bats were larger than the one defeated by Ryan. There was an acid rain falling from the mouths of these bats, the green saliva of these creatures was falling from their mouths and eating away at those pestilent lands. Across the land, several scorpions began to appear, coming out of that dark sand and running away from the acid, advancing towards the travelers.
Several gigantic circles appeared in the sky, some with the symbol of triangles and others with squares and hexagons. Some of the strikes were blue, others red and gold. This vastness of colors made the sky of that devastated region start to look like one of Ryan's house parties.
The scorpions were frozen by one of the attacks, and soon after, were destroyed by a gigantic flaming attack that melted the bodies of these creatures. Meanwhile, the glowing girl flew up into the sky and began to take on those bats one by one.
"Do you see that?"
<Behind the bats?>
Ryan's eyes shone with a greater intensity. He was using his demon form to see a little more clearly. Behind the bats, there was a humanoid figure who was commanding those creatures.
<This must be the boss>
"I hope it is."
With all his strength, Ryan projected himself into the skies using his demonic wings. Using his Flaming Dash skill, he flew with the speed of a jet towards the horde of bats. His speed was so fast that he overtook the glowing woman in seconds, clenching his fist, Ryan punched one of the gigantic bats.
Ryan Whitemante's fist exploded that creature's head, causing that eyeless rat-shaped face to fly into pieces everywhere. The rest of the creature's body fell hard to the ground, exploding like a green goo bomb. Several scorpions were melted with the creature's saliva and blood.
Even with the high expenditure of Flaming Dash, it kept flying back and forth, destroying several bats with ease. With each kick and punch, Ryan knocked one of those creatures to the ground as he advanced towards the humanoid figure.
That creature had completely dark skin, as if it were covered in some sort of black ink, and the monster had the curves of a human woman. The monster had four wings on each side of its body, the wings had white feathers with glowing eyes in the middle of each one. The eyes moving, until all eyes aligned on Ryan.
"That sword... A warrior of the Empire of Light?" The creature said, in the general demonic language.
<Be careful! It might curse you if you stare at the wings>
Ryan held out his hand, making a snap with his fingers.
"What does that mean?"
'Judgement of the Sun'
The eyes of that monster stared for a second at Ryan's hand, causing him to have an opening to aim his magic directly at that creature. The sphere of light came out from inside the golden sword that Ryan was carrying, mana was flowing from inside the weapon until it was channeled into that second sun.
"GRRRRUUAAAARR YOU INSOLENT WORM!" The creature screamed, the wings of that monster closed with the light. With a swing of his sword, Ryan slashed half of that monster's wings. Spinning behind the creature, with one more move he clipped the rest of the wings.
"HOKURIKIAAK HAKAZAKA" The creature screamed in another language, one that even Nyx didn't recognize. Losing its wings, the monster fell hard against the ground. Unable to watch and fly, that creature lay helpless on the ground.
The bats continued to fly forward, heading toward the raid of travelers. Ryan flew close to the ground, and then, crouching down near that creature, he began an interrogation.
'Take care of the translation'

"Can you understand me?" Ryan said, as he watched the body of that humanoid monster lying on the ground. Without its wings, it was as if that creature could not get around.
The creature turned its head toward the sound of his voice, and then said, "Yes."
"Were you able to get in touch with your boss?" Ryan questioned.
'That will probably be enough to make her go crazy'
The humanoid monster did not possess a face, but the creature moved both arms up to its head, as if agonizing over its own thoughts.
'I can't hear the abyss, it's not echoing in my heart. What is happening? Where am I, where am I" The creature kept asking itself this question over and over again. The monster was not answering any more of Ryan's questioning, so with one swift movement of his sword he decapitated that monster.
"If she possessed no contact with the abyss, then we won't need to defeat the entity that reigns in that region."
<But if the portal was so dangerous, I imagine there must be some higher creature from the abyss>
"What exactly would that be?"
<This woman was a lady of the abyss, they are just intermediate monsters. A superior creature of the abyss is a warrior who acts directly for the sovereign>
"So it would be something like that?" Ryan pointed out said, looking at the group of travelers who were battling a few miles away.
Clouds had formed near the end of the horizon, at the top of the clouds was a giant gray eye. There was lightning flashing from side to side, streaking across the sky and crashing down on the travelers below the creature. In the center of that monster was what looked like a gigantic crystal that began to glow brightly, slowly, intense energy surged forth. The amount of lightning increased, until they all focused on the eye, which threw a shockwave in all directions.
At that very instant, Ryan had his first experience with one of the most grotesque and terrifying sights of a traveler's life. With just one attack, that eye killed over fifty guild warriors.
"They are..."
Nyx put her hand on Ryan's shoulder.
<These are the prices we pay in a war, just as you exterminated that humanoid monster, that eye defeated the travelers>
The eye continued charging itself with electricity, preparing for another attack. But the mages on the ground were now prepared, Four gigantic magic circles appeared one after the other, it was a defense barrier of supreme level.
Then, before that eye launched another electric discharge, a spark of light shone in the sky. Flying at high speed, that small light shot out from the ground into the center of the eye. The cloud of smoke began to dissipate as that eye was lifted into the air.
The creature was being carried by the glowing woman, until with an intense attack, that traveler went through the eye in seconds. The body of that creature fell on top of the warriors, who had to use the barrier to make the monster roll away from the guild travelers.
A notification appeared in front of Ryan's eyes.
