“ROAR!!” snarled the demonic shadow. It dove from the mountain and flung itself at Lu Yun. Plainly, it possessed intelligence and wasn’t a dead being.
“I wouldn’t be able to do anything to you if you didn’t come down. But look at this, you’re the one presenting yourself to me!” Lu Yun gave a long peal of laughter and pointed at the shadow, activating the Judgment of Life or Death.

Lu Yun relaxed. Everything he’d come to the World Heart for had been accomplished and he’d also managed to overawe the demons suppressed in this region with the Judgment of Life or Death.
“These demons will become demons of the world of immortals in the future. They will counterbalance those already there.” The tree god jumped down from the mountain with Jin Huo in his arms.
“Greetings to the senior,” Lu Yun bowed. The tree god’s replica in the world inside the Tome of Life and Death had grown into a towering specimen. But when the tree god walked down from the mountain, he instantly severed his connection with that tree and his karmic relationship with Ling Weiyang in the world of immortals.
The tree inside the Tome of Life and Death was now a spirit root that wholly belonged to Lu Yun.
“You really did it!” The tree god smiled at Lu Yun. The section of withered wood that he’d left behind carried the resentment of hundreds of millions from the original Hongmeng. He’d meant for it to help Lu Yun light the fire of order.
Lu Yun had fully succeeded and progressed to the step of rescuing the tree god from the mountain of blades!
The mountain of blades was a collection of sword qi from Quietus. It’d transformed into keen blades that killed untold numbers after being tainted by the demonic qi in the World Heart. Whether it was the tree god or Jin Huo, both were restricted by it.

This matter was also completed, thanks to Lu Yun’s help.
“Jiang Chen.” Diexi frowned slightly. A cold glint flashed through her eyes when she looked at him, an edge that swiftly vanished.
The reaction wasn’t because Jiang Chen had once schemed against her, but that he was a zombie from the nothing and therefore nothing good. He stood guard here for himself, and they’d once been enemies.
Although Diexi didn’t possess the same past as Forebear, her instincts were the same.
“So everyone’s finally assembled!” rang a resonant voice. A faint shadow walked down through the void.
“Dao King!?” Lu Yun’s jaw dropped when he saw the man.
“Not the Dao King,” Jiang Chen frowned. “It’s the overseer.”
“The overseer… looks the same as the Dao King?!” Lu Yun floundered to make some sense of the situation.
It was one thing to have a doppelganger in the world, but for two preeminent personages like the overseer and the Dao King to look exactly the same? That was unbelievable.
“Overseer? I don’t like that title. I am Jin, Che’s older brother.”
Che was the Dao King’s name.
