Chapter 1027 1027

"Emilio!" Al shouted as he ran through the halls of Mountain View Mansion, searching for his cousin.

It was the weekend so Emilio should be at the family home instead of his apartment in the city.

"Emilio, where are you? I need to talk to you?!" Al shouted again as he knocked on his older cousin's door.

"So loud and so early." His cousin Christine grumbled as she stepped out of her room, rubbing her eyes and yawning.

"Christine, where is your older brother? Did he come in late last night?" Al asked.

It was entirely possible that Emilio was fast asleep and dead to the world after a night in the city with his friends from work.

"He didn't come home last night." Christopher said as he walked up to Al who was still standing outside of Emilio's room.

"What do you mean he didn't come home last night? He always comes home on weekends! I need to speak to him!" Al shouted, he was desperate to speak to his cousin.

"Why can't you talk to us?" Christine asked as she placed her hands on her hips and raised an eyebrow at Al.

"It's because we don't understand their life, Christine." Christopher said as he rolled his eyes and walked away.

"That's not why." Al grumbled. "It's because Emilio is older and knows more. He's wiser than us, but I would love to hear your opinions too."

"Are you sure, Al?" Christopher asked as he kept his back turned on his cousin. "Are you sure you aren't telling us this in order to keep us happy?"

"Christoher, I can say whatever you want to hear, but you're the only one that can decide when to take your head out of your ass." Al chuckled. "We grew up together, don't be stupid."

Christopher smiled and slowly turned around as he laughed at Al's words.

"I still get jealous that people don't recognize you and Emilio when you go around. I want that too." He grumbled as he walked back to his cousin.

"Maybe we can give you a makeover today and you guys can walk around the city like normal people, like we used to." Al said with a smile as he looked at his cousins. "First we need to find your brother though."

"He's probably in his apartment." Christina suggested. "I'll go bathe and change."

"Wear something, un you." Al called out as his cousins nodded and went back to their rooms.

He on the other hand went to the kitchen. He had run up to his uncle's house as soon as he was dressed and ready, he was starving.

"Aldrich, you're here early!" Cedric Reyes greeted his nephew as soon as he saw the young man asking for food in the kitchen. "Emilio isn't here, and I doubt Christopher or Christina are awake."

"Good morning uncle Cedric." Al greeted as a maid handed him a sandwich. "Christopher and Christina are awake. We're going to visit Emilio in his apartment in the city."

"Take the bodyguards, they will follow at a distance, and make sure the twins are well disguised." Cedric told his nephew as he told the maid what he wanted for breakfast.

Al understood why his uncle was so willing to let his children explore being ordinary. He knew that Cedric often missed the luxury of being able to walk the streets like a normal person, but his identity as the CEO of the Reyes Group no longer allowed him to do so.

"Sit with me, Al." Cedric said as he gestured towards the dining room.

Al had no reason to decline and he actually enjoyed his uncle's company. He liked hearing stories about his days under poverty training and about the times when things were chaotic in the Reyes group.

"Your uncle Ian told me about you joining your father in several meetings." Cedric Reyes said as they sat down around the table.

"I have been, yes." Al said as he slowly nodded at his uncle. He was well aware of Cedric's reservations when it came to exposing their generation too early to the underworld.

"Your father knows what I'm about to say and he knows that I will talk to you when I have the chance." Cedric told Al as the maid entered, serving Cedric his breakfast and coffee.

Al nodded as he listened to his uncle.

"I would rather that you didn't join your father's kingdom so early. You're very young and many of the things that happen there can damage a young man permanently." Cedric said with a frown.

"I understand that you are technically not supposed to do as I ask, you belong to the Lawrence Clan, but don't forget, you are a Reyes too." Cedric reminded his nephew. "You will always have a place at the Reyes group if you cannot continue on this path."

Al smiled at his uncle's words, he was genuinely touched by the man's concern.

He knew his uncle quite well and he knew that Cedric wouldn't have said anything if he wasn't truly worried.

"Don't worry, uncle, my dad is doing it slowly, he is changing things he felt his father did wrong. For now I'm just attending meetings, nothing exciting." Al chuckled.

Cedric smiled and nodded, not saying a word as he began to eat his breakfast.

Soon both Christina and Christopher came down the stairs in very simple clothes carrying facemasks and glasses the would hide their identity.

They also wore wigs that would make them practically unrecognizable.

"Good job, both of you have your complete disguise." Cedric praised his children. "Do you want to have breakfast first?"

"No thanks dad, we have to get there before Emilio wakes up." Christopher said as he dragged Al out of the dinning room.

"Bye Uncle Cedric, thanks for the pep talk!" Al called out as he waved at his uncle.

"Bye dad!" The twins called out as they all left.

"We called your driver, he brought your car up." Christina explained to her cousin. "I was sure you ran here again."

True to her word, as they exited the house, Al's car was already waiting for them.

"Let's go wake Emilio up!" Christopher said as he quickly sat in the passenger's seat and adjusted his wig.
