174 Chapter 173: Let me see who can save you from me

Damon stood like an immovable mountain and watched the enemy approach. His eyes seemed incredibly calm for someone getting swarmed by the enemy and suffering from a cultivation defect!

A mighty broadsword swung down from above, but Damon didn’t even bother dodging!

Many guards began throwing up while their eyes twisted in fear as they gazed at the lone figure with extremely long hair as low as his waist level. His incredibly pale skin and menacing gaze made him far more terrifying. His eyes seemed oddly calm for someone so terrifying.
Damon stopped and looked toward the soldiers at the top of the wall and frowned. Seeing a city here in the middle of nowhere was the last thing they all expected. At his current level, he couldn’t really pinpoint any main problem but he could tell there was something wrong about a secret city ready to house the dragons of disaster.
“I was going to kill the two dragons alone, but I guess I have no choice!” Damon said with a frown.
He came here with the intention of killing the fire dragon alone and leaving but now after what he has seen and heard he would consider it dumb to leave a small city that supports the invaders and the old god’s standing.
“Hopefully my strength would be sufficient,” Damon said in a low tone as he looked up.

Like the sound of lightning, the countless arrows fired into the air, shooting directly into the massive red magic circle in the sky!

As soon as they hit the red magic array, the arrows were set ablaze, raining down on Damon. Seeing this Damon raised an eyebrow and a fierce look appeared on his face. Did these people really think they have what it takes to kill him simply because of a mere cultivation defect?

“What are you doing? Activate the magic tower! We cannot let him in!” The captain of the city guards growled while maintaining a calm look on his face.
If they were a part of any of the other four kingdoms he would be afraid because of his lack of knowledge bit since joining the old gods and the dragons to create a perfect world, he has been exposed to a lot of secrets that no man with no backing should know. They were specifically trained to combat the guardian spirit’s hosts and the rest of the world. They had no plans of losing to anyone.

Upon giving the order, the entire city began trembling while an enormous surge of mana swept across the city, slowly taking the shape of a barrier around it.

Damon approached the barrier and casually touched it with his hand and a fierce burning pain invaded his body causing him to withdraw his hand. His cold eyes gazed at the single but massive energy tower rising above the city. Its massive body slowly rose above the city while the barrier surrounding the city began spreading.

Damon was hit by the barrier causing him to stagger back. His eyes widened with shock as he saw the barrier still spreading far and wide. He was well aware that the defenses of a kingdom would be powerful but he has never been in a position where he can invade a kingdom so he wasn’t sure how difficult it would be.
“It’s okay then. I will use this and broaden my experience” Damon said dryly.
The death aura surging around him soon began gathering around his palms while he strode towards the spreading barrier with a slight frown on his face but before he could reach the barrier a bright light caught his attention causing him to look up.

A powerful beam descended from the heavens smashing into Damon. With little or no time to react, Damon raised his hands to catch the beam, and instantly got floored by it, knocking him deeper into the ground.

With just a single attack a ten meter deep crater was formed and those above the walls watched the scorched man laying on the ground, unmoving.
Everyone watched in anticipation and after a few minutes, Damon still wasn’t moving.
“Hmph! With such injuries, your regenerative abilities are nowhere near as effective as before. This outcome was expected from the very moment this battle started” the city guard’s captain said those words with his cold eyes pinned on Damon’s unmoving body and a satisfied smile bloomed on his face slowly.

An explosion erupted across the heavens as Damon flashed with the barrier surrounding the city.
“Death is inevitable! Death is absolute! I, Damon Ross is the absolute! That name will never know defeat!” Damon growled as he pressed his hands forward and force darkish green flames to surge forward like a sea, covering half of the entire city.
