Chapter 244 - 244 Chapter 243: New Damon

244 Chapter 243: New Damon

In a week, the joint forces of the enemy had arrived. In a single breath, the central plains of the continent were covered by a legion of enemy forces that was as vast as the endless seas. The forces of the immortal empire stood at the walls and watched with worried expressions on their faces, especially since the undead army which used to swarm the entire empire and its borders, numbered in millions suddenly vanished out of sight.

At this moment, these people realized something…

Damon Ross, the death mage and the human they all present for creating this paradise they live in, has turned his back on them and is willing to watch them die.

“Please reconsider!”

Gerald Gyro was on his knees and bowed with his head slamming into the ground without hesitation. The enemy forces were numbered in tens of millions since there was the entire population of all the other races living outside the central continent.

It may not sound like much but in reality, it was a lot. Even the gyro Kingdom and the other kingdoms didn’t have up to four hundred thousand soldiers each when they were at their peak. Even now they have combined forces and trained for a period of fifteen years, they have only been able to come up with barely up to two million capable fighters.

This is the result they could achieve in a space of fifteen years!

And what was more shocking was that they once believed this will be enough.

“When I was younger I read books concerning gods and mortals. I saw mortals suffer from hardship and I hated the gods for not doing their job, now I realize why things are like this….” Damon’s voice was hoarse and weak but no one dared take him lightly.

.....

“I soon realized how useless mortals are… their short lives make life more meaningful but it also makes them dumb… The world is filled with idiots and that’s why most of the world’s resources are controlled by a handful of them….”

“I considered everything and still decided to give mortals a chance to prove me wrong and they did…. No matter how bad you think they are they can only get worse… I had to understand that the hard way, and now I have come up with a solution… Give them purpose… enforce your will on the world, followers will submit and the leaders amongst them will naturally rise up… let them bleed, let them cry, let them die… and at the end of it all, they will come begging for help. I will get what I want from them, then I will give them purpose” Damon said with a calm and indifferent look.

His words made Gerald Gyro turn pale but what even disturbed him more was the fact Damon slowly shut his eyes after everything and said nothing more.

“Are you not afraid of the stories people will tell? Are you not scared of what they may say or think about you in the future?” Gerald tried to persuade Damon with the best he could come up with at the moment but Damon seemed to have predicted all these questions.

Heh!

Only after hearing this did Damon reveal a cruel smile and look ahead.

“The victor writes history. If the Devil won in his coup against God, he would be the one everyone prays to… Might make right… so as long as I win. I get to tell the story of how it happened. You will be stunned by the kind of tale I have set out for the future” Damon said with a cruel smile.

Hearing this even Gerald couldn’t help but frown because everything Damon has said so far is true but that doesn’t make it right…

But was it wrong?

It is said that the line between good and evil is too blurry to determine. In the end, what is right is decided by the strongest.

One plus one maybe two but should Damon wield enough power to force the world into believing one plus one is three, then until he is overthrown or defeated, one plus one will always remain three!

This….

Gerald was rendered speechless. In the past, he simply had different views from Damon but now he was completely terrified of this being. If Damon could be considered emotionless back then, he finally identifies as something even more than that now.

He has become more logical but still maintained the emotionless aspect of his life.

He had become a true monster.

“Before I leave, even if you won’t participate in the battle, for my sake and those who haven’t wronged you…. Please, give me your thoughts!” Gerald felt helpless and dared not to change Damon’s mind again.

Right now he could only accept his fate and make the best out of it.

His words made Damon frown slightly since it was put in a way which he had no reason to reject. Truly this man was probably the smartest man in the empire only second to Gin. But unlike Gin, he lacked the strength of a host so he did more thinking than fighting.

“Kill the cosmic spirit hosts… the last thing you would want is an attack from within while defending against the foe outside. There is a reason it is called a stronghold… focus on defense, never attack… and you will last long enough to piss the old gods off” Damon said with a calm look on his face before waving his hand casually an immense pressure explode from his body, hurling Gerald out of the room as if he was some rag!

Bang!

Gerald hit the ground with a deadly pale look on his face. He looked in the direction of the door and turned pale.

Demigod realm!

Damon’s strength had reached the stage even an angel realm expert like him cannot resist!

Even if he wasn’t in the demigod realm, he was at least half a step in!

“Don’t be a fool, demigods cannot exist in the mortal realm” Damon’s indifferent voice rang across the hallway.
