Chapter 108- Samantha's Decision
Dave looked at her and said, "Well my name is Dave and as you can see, I am a human"
They were still both naked but both of them didn't mind as they already saw each other's bodies.
Dave also went down on the floor and hugs her from behind as he replied in her ears, "The truth is, I wanted to control you as you are the queen and I know someone who had a grudge against your mother"
He caresses her wet hair and continues, "But you look pitiful, and I have a weakness if it comes to a beautiful woman, so I suddenly change my mind."
Samantha was stunned as he easily reveals his objectives to her. Even so, she liked this feeling as she could feel his strong muscles as he was hugging her. She feels like she wanted to stop the time as she felt relaxed when she was near him.
Dave continues, "Did you feel that you are being controlled by your mother? Why not make your own decision? You are not her puppet"
Samantha also feels like she was controlled but she knew that she was just feeling that she owed a debt to her mother.
"As a child, it's not your obligation to pay back what your parents give to you as it was not your sin that you were born. From the day a child is born, it means that it is the day where the parents are obligated to take care of the child and not treat them like an investment who can make them rise someday."
"You can respect them and give them all your best, but you also have your own life and choices, and you must try to express yourself."
Samantha's eyes started to get moist as she knew that he was right. She can't refuse her mother as she feels obligated to pay her back but her mother is controlling her life and treats her like a puppet.
Dave knew that she also realized this, so he continued, "Did you know what your mother did just to get the throne? She betrayed her brother and plotted against her niece just for what? Power? Status?"
Samantha was shocked as she looked at Dave and asked, "Is it true? What if you are lying to me?"
Dave smirked and replied, "Why would I lie to you? Your mother did many bad things just to rule the empire and I felt that I know the reason."
Samantha was curious and waited for him to continue.
"Did you know that you had a Kraken bloodline?"
"What?" Samantha was shocked as she was sure that she was not fooling around but she wanted to make it clear.
"Are you sure?"
Dave nodded and said, "Yes, and on top of that, I guess your father dumped the both of you as he had a special status in the Kraken empire. Your mother was angry at him and wanted to use you to take revenge on him by controlling the empire and accumulating power."
"Well, it was just my guess so maybe some of them were not true"
Samantha was shocked but she felt that it was true. Her mother didn't like it when she was asked about her father, and she was sure that she had a grudge against him. She didn't know what she would do now as her mind was chaotic.
Dave saw her thinking, so he smiled and asked her, "Why just come with me? I can make you worry-free from problems, and I can also awaken your bloodline if I reach the Saint-level."
"Did you want to marry someone you didn't love? I know that you also just met me but I'm sure that I am already at your heart."
Samantha knew he was right as if she didn't like Dave a bit, she already attacked him after what he did to her. She never wanted to marry someone she didn't like, and she also wanted to be free from her mother's control.
"Okay, but what will happen to the Empire?"
Dave smiled as he answered, "Don't worry, the former ruler will take it back and take care of it, so you don't have to worry."
Samantha nodded as she decided to make a gamble as she wanted to be free from her mother's control.
