Chapter 233-Absorbing the core
Dave sent back Blizzard to the Space World after settling the matters. He wanted to see the situation in the Dragon Clan and look for Gargantor who is now leading the Dragon Clan. Ronin is also helping him to maintain the order.
As he stood in the sky, Dave found himself staring at the sky and instead of stars, he saw a writhing mass of darkness that seemed to stretch on forever.
Suddenly, he felt a pull from deep within him, as if something was calling out to him. Dave closed his eyes and focused on the sensation, allowing it to guide him toward the source of the pull. He felt the space around him contort and twist, and when he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in front of a glowing orb.
Using his skill, Ancestral Eyes, he examined the orb and discovered that it was the core of the beast's world. The orb pulsed with a faint, otherworldly light, and Dave could feel the immense power emanating from it.
As he gazed at the orb, a voice spoke out to him from within his mind. "I am the core of this world," the voice said, "and you are the key to unlocking my power and reviving the beast's world to how it used to be."
Dave was taken aback by the voice, but he remained calm and focused. "What do you mean?" he asked, his eyes fixed on the pulsing orb.
"The power of this world is locked within me," the voice said. "But to unlock it, I require a catalyst. You are the chosen one. You did a great merit in saving the world against the evil Taotie and the founders of the 12 Mythical Clan left their powers to me and said that if a hero stood up in case the Taotie escaped the seal, I will choose him/her as my master."
"But since you defeated Taotie without my help, I will reward you with the source of this world."
Dave was stunned and felt that it happened too quickly. He was just floating in the sky, but the orb directly teleported him without him knowing. If he could unlock the power of the core, he could potentially become one of the most powerful beings in the mortal plane and no one can defeat him.
He knew that there are many worlds in the mortal plane and there may be some variable and genius who can also kill anyone who had a higher level than them.
"System, is it safe?"
[YES]
The mechanical voice of the system answered him, and he sighed in relief. He trusts the system and it will not harm it.
"So, what may be the gains I can receive if I absorb it?"
[Answering the host, you will be the sole ruler of the Beast's world and you can see anything inside the planet]
[You will also receive the blessing of this world and this world will be absorbed in your space world and merge with it]
[Note: They will be absorbed inside the space world but there is a barrier that will separate your own world and they will require your permission to enter it]
Dave was stunned as he didn't expect that it would be a good reward. He was excited but he calmed his heart.
"How do I absorb it?" he asked the voice in the orb and his heart pounding in his chest.
"There is a ritual that must be performed," the voice said. "But be warned, it is not without risk. You must be willing to sacrifice a part of your soul in order to gain the power of the core and receive recognition as the master of this world."
Dave asked him who he was, and the voice said that he was the consciousness of this world. He asked him some questions about this world, but he said that I will learn everything after I become a master.
Since it is safe and there is no possible danger, he decided to start the process.
Dave's hand trembled as he placed it on the glowing orb, and he felt a surge of power course through his body as it entered him. His eyes widened as he realized that he could see everything that was happening in the beast's world, and nothing could be hidden from his gaze.
He felt like a ruler, an all-knowing being with powers beyond his wildest dreams. And yet, he couldn't help but feel a twinge of unease at the enormity of the power he had gained.
As he basked in his newfound power, he suddenly realized that he had collected enough spiritual energy to break through to a new level of cultivation. He could feel the familiar pull of the breakthrough, urging him to take the next step in his journey. He can break through by cultivating but he can level up and get stronger easily using sin points.
But he suppressed it, knowing that this was not the right time for it. He needed to first understand the full extent of his newfound power before he could take such a drastic step. He would not be forced by the mortal plane to ascend because of the system so he didn't need to be worried about it.
The process of absorbing the core's power seemed to continue for what felt like an eternity, and Dave lost all sense of time. He felt as if he was floating in an endless void, his mind racing with the possibilities that lay before him.
Eventually, he began to regain his senses, and he felt a surge of energy as the process finally came to an end. He opened his eyes, and he found himself back in the beast's world, floating in the original spot he was in. He realized that it only took him 4 hours to complete the process but he felt that it was long.
As he looked around, he realized that he was different. His eyes glowed with an otherworldly light, and his body pulsed with newfound power. He can feel that there's nothing changed in his physical power, but his mana pool capacity has tripled, and he can now use the energy of this world if he suddenly is short of power.
His soul also got stronger, and he felt the connection he had to the world. He knew that he had become something more than just a mere cultivator. He had become a force to be reckoned with, a being of immense power that could shape the fate of the beast's world.
