Chapter 6 The Power Of Confidence
"Heeey, what do you mean by run?" Luca's heart started to pound faster.
The thought that the system had just told him to run drove him crazy: 'Why would it say that, do we still have to find that stupid gem?'

"Kali, what should we do?" Lucas asked her in panic.

Lucas started to run, "Kali!!! Follow me!" he shouted as he ran.

"Lucas, I think we should fly!" She called.
He had an unpleasant memory of dragon saliva in his head and decided to turn down this amazing offer.
"No, someone would see us faster that way!" he replied, thinking that he was making the right decision at the moment.

The system was now activated again, which made them even more nervous.
"Lucas, you have to run faster!" Kali was 7 metres further than Lucas.
Kali wanted to get out of there as fast as possible and that was no problem for her as she had four big and muscular legs, but Lucas was slow.
"Kali, I am not as fast as you!!!"
The only sport he played was the online game *Fifa*, where he would just pick a player and run after him. He was not a good runner in the first place and the gym was the only place he avoided in his life like some kind of enemy.
His heart was beating fast, his legs were shaking, and Lucas was already out of breath and tired. He had to stop and rest, 'people like me don't run marathons daily,' he thought.

Kali turned and saw Lucas resting, anger immediately shot through her veins. 'That bastard.' She bared her teeth.

Terror swept over his body, he stopped moving for a second. Everything went silent for him, just an uncomfortable squeeze in his ear, everything looked too slow, he heard his own heartbeat and saw that Kali was moving slowly.

The beat was loud only to him. He saw Kali say something from a distance, but he could not understand what she was saying as everything was in slow motion to him.
"Luuuucaaaaaaassssss, rrruuuuunnnnn!" Her dragon jaw was wide open and she said some strange words.
'Eh?" he thought quickly as a strong force struck his body from the side. The blow was so strong that his body flew four metres away from where he was standing.

He flew as fast as an Olympic track and field athlete.

He landed on the ground.
"Lucas!" roared Kali.
He opened his eyes, he wasn't knocked out, thankfully, but the blow was strong. A strange man stood in front of him. He was tall, about two metres, he'd never met anyone as tall as him.
The man had a black robe on his head that hid his face, he looked mysterious. He'd a shiny but black staff like the wizard who'd put him here, but he'd no grey beard to be seen.
"Who're you?!" Kali shouted at the stranger from a distance.
Without even being ''polite'' or ''respectful'', he immediately ran up to Kali and hit her in the scaly-looking stomach with his things.
He didn't look physically very strong to defeat a dragon, but that blow also sent Kali flying away.
He didn't stop, he followed Kali's flying body and leapt into the air.
This time he attacked her head with his staff. He hit her in the eye.
Black, strange blood came out of Kali's eyes. It began to bleed and made her scream.
"Aaaaah!!!" She tried to protect it with her claw.
Another hit greeted her stomach, she was now on the ground, defeated.

She was still a quick-thinking and moving person, but in her dragon form, she was even slower to notice such attacks.
Kali felt down.
Then a bright light came from her dragon body. It was bright yellow and glowed for only a second. Her human form was back to normal.

[Destruction. 0]

Lucas heard the same system voice and couldn't believe what had just happened to the dragon. If he defeated Kali in her dragon form, then I've no hope either.
His breathing became slower as he hoped that this thing would leave them both alone if he stayed quiet for a while. He wanted to check on Kali and try to help her, but from the strike, his body just wouldn't move.
'I just want to go home.' he thought to himself while slowly trying to lift his arm to fight the man.
"Give me the gem." This man appeared in front of Luca's pathetic body.
The voice made Lucas startle. He had not expected it to appear again. His feet felt cold as the man stood before him.
His voice was sour and strange, it sounded young but damaged by something.
"What fucking jewel, you dickhead?" Lucas's online confidence blessed him again.
He had no chance of beating him anyway, so he'd just give in and let the man kill him on the spot.
"The Jewel!" This person sounded even more aggressive now.

Both the mysterious person and Lucas were confused and embarrassed for a moment: 'What just happened?' Lucas thought, and the other person was probably thinking the same thing.
Nothing happened to Lucas' body, no abilities or powers were activated as he had expected, just a stupid-looking drug pill that would probably help him digest later.
"The gem!" The thing was getting impatient.
Without thinking again, Lucas answered immediately, but this time he sounded aggressive.
"Now, now, what gem, you wretched creature?" Lucas grinned.
His red eyes shone like rubies at the man in front of him.
This thing became enraged and raised its staff to strike Lucas again. Lucas immediately dodged the blow.
"Huh?" The person wearing a smock was confused, why would he suddenly move so fast?
Lucas looked at Kali's unconscious body. Her face was covered in black blood and rage gripped him.
His temper flared and raw anger shot through him when he saw his crush so defenceless.
