Chapter 80 Not Defeated

"Now we have no choice," Haya said to them. "We'll have to use the system to defeat Izek."

Izek lifted his left hand in the air and moved his fingers, murmuring something in his mouth that he was summoning something once again. He closed his eyes and began chanting.

"Whatever you're, you're so doomed!" Izek spoke to a woman in front of him.

The woman stopped moving and turned around.

"What did you say?"

"I said that you are so doomed!"

She started laughing. "Is that your best joke? You really thought that I wouldn't hear you from here?" She said while she walked toward him.

Izek looked at her and smiled.

"You can't defeat me!" She laughed again.

"I'm not trying to defeat you, my dear. I'm simply trying to take care of the problem in front of me."

"Problem? What problem? That's not a problem! It's something that I created myself by playing the cards right."

"Well, then let me enlighten you on how things work in this world. First, you have to make a plan, then you execute the plan and finally, you get results. Well, it seems like I've messed up my first part in this game."

"I won't let you succeed!" She raised her eyebrows.

"Why not?"

"Because I am the one who created you, you can't beat me!"

"That's where you're wrong, my dear. The real creator is the one that brought you into existence. And as far as I'm concerned, you're just a lowly pawn being controlled by the real player." Izek smiled.

"Who are you?"

"I'm the one that controls you."

She stared at him with blank stare. "What do you mean?"

"I mean exactly what I said. I'm the one that controls everything in this world," Izek felt like it was about time to attack her.

"Rennexa! Protect me!"

White flames burst from Izek's hands as the white phoenix descended towards the two opponents in front of him. She thought that Izek didn't notice her shadow, but he did.

The woman in front of Izek was a fearsome fighter, but even she could not stop the might of this mighty creature.

As Renexa attacked, Izek focused on dodging every blow that came his way while protecting himself with his powerful shield.

The battle raged around them for what felt like hours when finally, the white phoenix used its powers of flight to escape the melee.

"You are strong," said Izek, "but there is no one who can defeat me."

With those words, he pulled out a dagger and threw it at the woman, which pierced her heart. She gasped once before falling to the ground dead.

A moment later, Rennexa stood beside Izek again.

"Your strength has grown, my Lord," said Renexa, "you have proven yourself worthy to be called a master swordsman."

Izek looked up at Rennexa and smiled.

"Yes, I have... now go and find someone else to kill."

And so, Rennexa flew away into the distance.

Izak walked over to the dead woman and picked up her sword.

"Bye bye," said Izek, flipping off the corpse, "now you get to spend eternity burning in Hell."

Izek walked over to the black tree to try and release his old teammates.

"Gah!"

As Izek moved forward, he was suddenly knocked back by a fast-moving projectile.

"Ow! What the hell?"

Shaped like a giant vase, the object flew towards him, smashing against his shield and sending Izek flying back several feet.

"No more sonic attacks!" shouted Izek, "I am immune to all sonic attacks!"

He looked up at the vase, which seemed to have frozen in place.

Izek dodged a sound attack.

"That's right," said Izek, "no sonic attacks for me!"

The woman who he thought was dead, raised her hand and summoned a pair of crows that swoop down towards Izek.

"Quake!"

A loud crack as a wave of force rippled through the area. In the blink of an eye, the entire landscape shook violently as trees were uprooted and rocks fell from the sky.

"Crap," muttered Izek, shielding himself with his shield as he tried to run away.

The ground under his feet gave way and he suddenly plunged into a deep pit. He hit the bottom and slid several yards before stopping.

"Son of a bitch!"

He look around and saw that the woman was nowhere to be seen. She had disappeared in the chaos of the quake.

A man who looked like a knight stood before Izek in this underground tomb, his helmet covered by a red cloak, he held a longsword.

"Well well, what do we have here?"

His voice sounded familiar.

"A warrior in training? A young boy trying to prove himself to the world once again? The man spoke in a cold tone.

"I'm most likely not young but old, but may I know if you've finally shown your real face or if I still have to keep killing your teammates to find you?" Izek spoke directly to him.

He was sick of the situation and needed to find the real culprit of his failed plan. The system couldn't seal him alone, and there were some gaps that he couldn't notice before.

Now everything made more sense. While slowly observing the situation and everyone when he was sealed, he finally came to the conclusion that this dummy Lucas will not be able to defeat the system all alone if there are gaps like this.

"So, who the hell are you?" asked Izek, lowering his sword.

"My name is Sigmund," replied the knight, "and I'm the leader of a group of warriors known as the Order of the Red Shield

He approached Izek slowly, his eyes fixed on the blade in Izek's hands.

"So," continued Sigmund, "what brought you back here?"

Izek stood up and drew his sword. "I came to kill you!"

Sigmund smiled at him.

"So do I," he said, "that is why I am going to ask you something first."

"Will you join us in our quest to eliminate evil from the world?" He asked.

Izek froze for a small amount of time, slowly lowering his sword down, he lifted his head up and looked at the sky that was in the colour purple, 'so this is where you come from?' He thought as he looked at the man before him once again.

"But if you really want to stop evil, then you will have to kill someone," explained Sigmund, "because those who wish to destroy the world are too powerful to defeat without help from others."
