Chapter 125 Second One

Lucas stretched his hands and wrapped them around Kali's waist. Kali placed her head on Lucas's shoulder, while Lucas put his arm around her.

Her soft skin's smell reached Lucas's nostrils, reminding him of the past.

Kali let out a small sigh, "I missed you too, Lucas."

Lucas looked into Kali's eyes and saw the same expression on her face he used to see every time they were together. He remembered how she would laugh whenever he teased her. He remembered all the memories that he shared with her, and he realized how much he actually missed her.

He hugged her tighter.

"You're the only one I have here..." He paused for a second and inhaled more air, "the only one I trust..." He added.

Lucas felt Kali's tears falling down her cheeks. He wiped them away with his thumb.

"Why are you crying?" Lucas asked.

"Because you're crying," Kali whispered.

"Guys don't cry, Kali...." Lucas said in a low voice.

Kali nervously chuckled, "I'm not crying!"

Lucas looked at her and saw her smiling, "you're lying."

"I'm not..." she sniffed, "but you're so cute when you're being sad."

Lucas laughed and kissed her forehead, "I'm sorry."

Kali giggled and hugged Lucas tightly. "I know you are, Lucas. You always say you're sorry."

Lucas kissed her cheek and continued holding her, "Kali, I will have to go now. I have another guy to fight."

"I know... It's okay." Kali smiled and Lucas held her tighter.

Lucas let go of Kali and looked at her, "I will end it fast, I promise."

"I know," Kali smiled.

Lucas smiled and walked towards the training ground. After walking inside, he saw Luu waiting for him, "are you ready for your second battle?" Luu asked.

"Yeah," Lucas replied.

"Then let's get started," Luu said.

"Alright." Lucas stood up and pulled his sword.

Having a weird feeling in his stomach, it was a pleasant mood for Lucas. Finally, the person he's been waiting for the most came back, now all was just left to defeat four other guys and collect another avatar part. He wasn't going to let that happen, though. He was going to win this and prove that he was better than everyone else, no matter what.

"Are you ready to start?" Luu asked.

Lucas nodded, "let's do this."

Luu waved to the second guy to come in, and Lucas watched him walk into the arena. He could tell that the guy was strong, he was tall and muscular.

"Hey, kid!" The man shouted.

Lucas stood up straight and held his sword in front of him, "my name is Lucas, and I am a knight."

"So what? You're nothing compared to me." The man raised his sword and charged at Lucas.

"Nope, I'm gonna show you what I'm capable of," Lucas replied as he blocked the first swing of his opponent with his own sword.

"I knew it!" The man smirked, "your sword is nothing compared to mine."

Lucas tried to block the second swing but the man's attack was too fast, making Lucas lose his balance. His opponent swung his sword again and again until Lucas fell to the ground.

"Damn, you're good!" Lucas groaned as he sat up.

His opponent walked towards Lucas, "you're a weakling, huh?"

"I'll show you who's weak," Lucas growled.

The man smiled and swung his sword again, but Lucas blocked it with his sword. His sword glowed red, and Lucas followed with it, making a flame appear in his sword.

"What in the world is that thing?!" The man yelled.

Lucas grinned and kept swinging his sword, making the flames grow bigger and hotter.

"No way..." The man sighed and ran at Lucas, dodging the fire.

Lucas quickly jumped to the side and heard the sound of a sword hitting his body. He shook his head and got back up, "that hurt."

"I'm glad you enjoyed it," the man smiled.

Lucas got back up and focused on his opponent, "where did you learn how to use fire?"

"In the academy," The man answered.

Lucas frowned, "what kind of academy lets someone like you join?"

"How about we find out?" The man replied.

Lucas nodded, "okay, let's do this."

They both attacked and blocked each other's attacks.

"Impressive," The man muttered. "You may be strong, but you're not that fast."

Lucas swung his sword faster and harder, trying to hit his opponent.

"Not bad," The man said and dodged the attack.

Lucas swung his sword again and again, but his opponent also jumped to dodge them.

"You're fast," Lucas muttered.

"Thanks," The man smiled.

Both men stopped attacking and stared at each other.

Lucas then noticed something, "you're wearing a mask..." He whispered and grinned.

"Hm? What are you talking about?" The man asked.

Lucas pointed at the man's face and asked, "who are you?"

The man put his hand on his mask and pulled it off, revealing an ugly scarred face.

"My name is..." he paused for a second, "it's Gomoviroa!"

Gomoviroa glared at Lucas, "I'm going to kill you!"

Lucas smiled and pointed his sword at Gomoviroa, "how about you try?"

A loud bang was heard when Gomoviroa swung his sword, but Lucas simply moved his sword sideways and blocked it.

"It's useless!" Gomoviroa yelled.

Lucas smiled and grabbed his opponent's wrist, making him drop his sword.

"Oh no!" Gomoviroa yelled.

Lucas lifted his sword and stabbed it into Gomoviroa's stomach, making him fall to the floor.

"You're dead!" Gomoviroa yelled as he got back up and punched Lucas, making him fall down.

"Ugh!" Lucas groaned and fell onto his knees.

Gomoviroa growled, "you're lucky I'm not that strong anymore."

Gomoviroa got closer and kicked Lucas's chest hard, making him fall down on the floor.

"You bastard!" Lucas yelled and got up, "you're dead."

"Ha-ha! Your death isn't going to come that easily."

Lucas stood up and pulled his sword out of the ground, "you might be a lot weaker, but you are still a coward who hides behind his mask."

"Shut up!" Gomoviroa gasped as he dodged a few swings of Lucas's sword.

"You can't beat me, you piece of shit!" Lucas yelled.

"I'm going to kill you!" Gomoviroa cursed.

Lucas smiled and swung his sword again, this time hitting Gomoviroa's shoulder. The impact broke his armour and gave Lucas an opening, 'this is it!' He thought as he struck his opponent's face.

"Ahhhhhh!" Gomoviroa screamed and fell to the ground.

Lucas smiled and picked up his sword, "good job."

He looked up at master Luu and saw Kali behind, watching him fight.

"Lucas!" Lucas flinched not expecting to see her there.
