Wang Lan glanced at the old doctor and then at the stunned Director Li. “The Lin family is a VIP in this hospital. Letting my adopted daughter stay in such a ward is an insult to the Lin family!!”

“The Lin family?” The old doctor glanced at Wang Lan before looking at Director Li. “How are the VIP wards in our hospital used?”

Director Li stammered, not knowing what to say.

Wang Lan was not as timid as Director Li. “I don’t care what the hospital rules are. Does the Lin family not even have this bit of right in this hospital?”

“Director Li, tell him about our Lin family!”

As Wang Lan spoke, she raised her chin, looking even more arrogant.

Director Li held his hands together and rubbed them nervously. “Um, Teacher Liang, this lady’s condition is rather special, so…”

“I’m her attending doctor now. Can’t I tell if she’s special?” Doctor Liang stared at Director Li. “Or do you think my medical skills are bad?”

When Wang Lan saw that Doctor Liang was about to call the dean over, she smiled. “Hmph, that’s good. It saves me trouble!”

Director Li lowered his head even more when he saw Doctor Yao push the door open and leave.

It was already after work, so the dean was not in the hospital. The dean lived in an exclusive apartment not far from the hospital, so it wouldn’t take too long.

However, once the dean came, Director Li’s good days would probably come to an end!

Director Li lamented as he glanced at Wang Lan with grievance. He had really been sucking up to this woman for a long time and this was going to ruin his future!

Not long after Doctor Yao left, he returned to the ward. “The dean will be here in five minutes.”

Doctor Liang nodded and said to Director Li, “What are you waiting for? Are you disturbing the patient’s rest here?”

Doctor Liang questioned. Director Li quickly walked up to Wang Lan. “Madam Lin, let’s talk in my office…”

Wang Lan was naturally unwilling. She glared at Director Li. “What do you mean? I want to change my daughter’s ward. Why are you dragging me to the office!”

“I want to wait here for the dean to come! I want to have a good chat with the dean!” Wang Lan said relentlessly.

Director Li felt a headache coming on and didn’t know what to do. Doctor Liang glanced at Wang Lan and said, “Then go to the dean’s office and wait!”

Director Li felt as if he had been pardoned while Wang Lan regarded Doctor Liang suspiciously.

No one was not allowed to enter or leave the dean’s office when he was not around.

This was common knowledge that every medical staff in the hospital knew.

Who exactly was this Doctor Liang?

How dare he say that he would wait in the dean’s office?

Was he going to make a group of people stand outside the dean’s office and wait?

Wang Lan instantly rationalized her thoughts.

She immediately refused. “I’m not going! I’ll wait here!”

Seeing Wang Lan’s unmoved expression, Doctor Liang said to Director Li, “You’re in charge here. I’ll wait for you in the office!”

After Doctor Liang finished speaking, he said to Doctor Yao, “Take good care of the patient. Don’t let anyone harass the patient!”

After giving his instructions, Doctor Liang left without looking back.

Doctor Yao walked to the bedside and checked Lin Yun’s drip and body condition. Then, he said to Director Li, “Director Li, please bring your guest outside to wait!”
