Chapter 52 Precautions

His fortune was enormous in comparison to the wealth of others. There may be many with the same or even more Arcanium than he possessed but that was not something Liam dwelled on right now.

His mind was fully focused on making the most of his Arcanium. That was certainly not easy, and he knew that certain investments could fail miserably if the situations in the future wouldn't be in his favor.

Satisfied with the current situation of his stats, Liam nodded his head slowly as he made his first purchases.

[ 『Casket of Trickery (E- Rank)』has been purchased. 5 Arcanium have been deducted!]

[『250 Black Tarthear Needles(D Rank)』have been purchased. 23 Arcanium have been deducted!]

[ 『150 Lumina Needles (D Rank)』have been purchased. 75 Arcanium have been deducted!]

A small black box, a small white box, and a second Casket of Trickery materialized in front of Liam. He fastened the second Casket of Trickery to his belt as well and placed it near the first one after he put the hundred Lumina Needles inside it.

Afterward, he put the 250 Black Tarthear needles inside the first Casket of Trickery, filling the Casket to the brim once again.

The function of the Lumina Needles was not to kill anyone but it was more like a flash grenade that was triggered with Arcane Power meant to distract his opponents.

After being injected with Arcane Power, the Lumina Needles would release a dazzling light once a few seconds passed.

The price of these needles was on the higher side, but it was hardly comparable to their exceptional use if utilized properly.

Of course, one might waste precious money if one was incapable of exploiting them to their fullest.

'What now?' Liam asked himself when he was done with his first purchase.

He was trying to think and prepare a few steps ahead which meant that Liam was already thinking about what they would do once the first rays of sunlight would shine over the horizon.

With the onset of dawn, Liam planned to leave to a place where they could procure Arcanium, Relics, and other treasures.

He clearly recalled the place they would go to, and it caused him to sigh deeply.

'I swear, if this old bitch would be stingy again, I will whoop her ass the moment this time!' Liam cursed in his mind as he made his next purchase with a sting in his heart.

[ 『Keychain of Miniature Tools (C Rank)』has been purchased. 800 Arcanium have been deducted!]

A keychain with more than two dozen miniature figures materialized in front of Liam who reached out with his hand to grasp it tightly.

He used some Arcane Power to insert it into the Keychain, or the miniature pickaxe to be precise. It drained quite some Arcane Power but Liam couldn't help but feel satisfied upon seeing how the miniature pickaxe was slowly growing in size.

Upon reaching the size of an ordinary pickaxe the used Arcane Power mantled the pickaxe head, enhancing its endurance and mining efficiency.

Liam's heart was still in pain but the Keychain of Miniature Tools ought to be a worthy investment.

Each of the two dozen Miniature Tools could grow to it's ordinary size, meaning that Liam could do almost anything with the tools, whether it was to start a farm, become a lumberjack, a miner, a cook, or even an Alchemist.

It was not Liam's intention to look for a different occupation, but each of those tools might come in handy sooner or later.

As of now, he was hoping that the Keychains of Miniature Tools would be of exceptional use upon conquering the underground tower of his little sister, the wench of a Devil.

Liam didn't know how often he felt like twisting his little sister's neck. Unfortunately, he was not strong enough to do something against her.

After all, she was their parents' perfect heir, blessed with their mother's bloodline and that of a Devil Monarch.

Meanwhile, he was considered a misfit that was lucky to have survived for two decades.

None of that mattered for the plan he had in mind, since his sister's strength was hardly relevant when it came to the construction of an underground dungeon.

Only her stinginess and greed were somewhat relevant. His little sister would never willingly place treasures inside the underground dungeon. Liam knew this very well, and he was merely hoping that the basic requirements introduced by the Arcane System, shortly before the grace period ended, would change things a little.

Towers, Dungeons, and Ancient Ruins were creations from the Nine Realms and replications of the Tenth Realm's history.

They earned Arcanium just by existing since they exposed Haltan to the Arcane Power they housed.

Liam was not very well informed about the Pact of the Great Unification, Haltan and the Arcane System, but he knew that their agreement was a measure to provide the big families of the Nine Realms with Arcanium in exchange for the creation of Towers, Dungeons, and Ancient Ruins that were adequately filled with treasures, monsters and much more.

None of that really mattered to Liam since the only information of importance was the wealth they could procure in the underground tower of his sister.

Knowing her to a certain extent, he was pretty sure that the sly fox of his sister wouldn't give up on her precious treasures. Instead, she would hand over the treasures nobody could make use of without certain precautions made beforehand.

And that was exactly what the Keychain of Miniature Tools was bought for!

More preparations were made by purchasing a few more items, goods that could save his life sooner or later.

And that was exactly what he got his hands on just moments later.

[ 『Basic Potion Belt (D+ Rank)』has been purchased. 150 Arcanium have been deducted!]

[ 10x『Basic Potion Set (D+ Rank)』hav been purchased from the Elvaria Shop. 100 Arcanium have been deducted!]

10 boxes filled with 12 potions each materialized in front of Liam, followed by a black belt. He removed the Caskets of Trickery from his belt and attached them to the Basic Potion Belt which he put around himself.

The Potion Belt had six small buttons that could be pressed in order to retrieve the potions that had been stored inside. Each button was reserved for a special type of potion.

Even after storing 120 potions inside the Potion Belt, it looked as slim as before, and Liam nodded his head in satisfaction.

'No distraction and discomfort, great!'
