Chapter 111

111 New Mission

“What about this, Raphael,” Elisa said, as she took a step closer to Raphael. “Gus can have the buffalo wings, and I’m going to take care of the mess.”

Raphael stared at Elisa weirdly, “You can’t do it.” He responded.

“Of course, I can. You just have to show me how, and I will get it done.”

Elisa wasn’t shy or nervous around Raphael like before, as after spending a lot of time with him, she had gotten to know him better. And as she spoke, she had her hands wrapped around his neck and a seductive smile on her face.

Raphael’s eyes were on Elisa, who was in front of him, but after a few seconds, he moved his gaze to Gus.

“Come on, Raphael, you already said if I’m able to take care of the mess, then there’s no problem.”

Raphael took a deep breath and after a brief moment, he spoke.

“Alright then, I hope you don’t back out when you know what you’re going to be dealing with.”

The smile on Elisa’s face widened, she stood on her toes and was about to move her lips towards Raphael when a knock sounded from the door.

.....

Followed by the door knock was Melinda’s loud voice.

“What are the both of you still doing in there? Didn’t you receive the council message, we have a mission.” Melinda exclaimed, “Everyone is waiting for you.”

When Raphael and Aliyah heard Melinda, they recalled the beep they received from the wristwatch earlier. And even though they sensed the urgency that was contained in Melinda’s voice, they didn’t separate.

It was only after a few seconds that Elisa removed her hands from Raphael. She was about to move backward when she saw that expression on Raphael’s face.

“No, not now,” Elisa exclaimed. She then shook her head repeatedly.

“You should go freshen up, everyone is waiting for us.”

Raphael didn’t move from where he was standing when Elisa spoke, he seized her from head to toe and then flashed a bewitching smile at her.

Elisa, however, shook her head when she saw the look that was on Raphael’s face. She raised her hand and then read the message that had just been sent from the wristwatch.

“It’s not a team mission, we are all going to be working on it together like with we did we Bass family,” Elisa said.

Elisa raised her head, “We are told to meet in the classroom. I’m going to have to go change should we meet in the classroom or should I come back here, and then we go back to the class together.”

Raphael shrugged his shoulder in response.

“Anyone is fine with me.

“I will come back here then,” Elisa responded.

And with that, she walked out of the room. Raphael’s eyes were on Elisa until she left the room, it was afterward that he turned towards Gus.

“I know what you want to say, so don’t bother,” Raphael muttered.

He took a deep breath and then walked into the bathroom

....

A few minutes passed briefly and Raphael and Elisa were in the classroom.

The both of them had walked inside the classroom holding hands, but once the discussion started, they let go of each other hands and placed their attention solely on the task ahead.

“I guess the rumors were true after all, the both of them are really in a relationship.” It was Sean that spoke.

“Mason, how do you feel about this?” Jackson asked as he stared at Raphael and Elisa, who was standing close to one another.

“You know, a devil you know is much better than the angel you don’t know. If you had allowed me to pursue your sister back, then she would have surely been in safe hands. But, with Raphael, you don’t know really know what to expect.”

“Does he like her or is he just fooling around with her, he could even be using her for all we care. There are just so many variables to their relationship.” Jackson said.

When Mason heard all the words that were spoken by Jackson, he clenched his hand into tight fists and then glared at Raphael. And as if that weren’t enough, Jackson decided to make another comment.

“I also heard that he joined the cultured society, so we can as well assume that nothing good can come out of this relationship.”

It was these words that pulled the trigger for Mason. He took a large stride and within a few seconds, he appeared in front of Raphael.

Raphael stared at Mason who was standing in front of him and even though, Mason wasn’t excluding the slightest bit of killing intent at him, Raphael was prepared for any sort of event that might occur.

When Mason abruptly appeared in front of Raphael, everyone in the classroom, including his sister Elisa, immediately moved their gaze to the both of them.

“Mason, what do you think you’re doing?” Elisa inquired as she took a step closer to Mason.

Mason, however, didn’t glance at Elisa when she spoke.

“Mason!” Elisa couldn’t help but raise her voice.

“This is between men, Elisa. Stay out of this.” Mason blurted.

Raphael’s hands were placed inside his pocket, as he stared back at Mason. He didn’t back down from Mason’s ferocious gaze and as the atmosphere heated up, Raphael appeared to be even more relaxed.

The people in the classroom continued to move their eyes between Raphael and Mason and just when it seemed to be like a battle was going to break out between the both of them, something strange occurred.

As Mason stretched his hand wide and gave Raphael a big hug, everyone in the classroom was left stupefied.

“Haha haha!!!!” Mason laughed. “I was already considering setting the both of you up because let’s face it, only a man of your status is fit to accompany my younger sister through the journey of life.”

“Ma...” Before Elisa could complete her words, Mason’s voice rang out.

“I trust you wouldn’t do anything to hurt her, after all, you wouldn’t want to experience my wrath.” With a devilish grin on his face, Mason said.

It would be a lie to say that Raphael didn’t hear the threat that was contained in Mason’s voice. Besides, it wasn’t like Mason was hiding it, as he excluded killing intent from his body when he spoke.

“Enough staring, Let’s get down to business,” Mason exclaimed.

Mason patted Raphael gently on the shoulder, “We will continue with this discussion when this is over.” With that said, and Mason went back to his position.

As the mission at hand was deemed as important by the council, they quickly put what had just occurred behind them and everyone stared at the television screen in the classroom.

“Jersey Saint Hospital.”
